make sure that you have enough space left on your E: drive and then maybe create a folder called E:\temp before running the update again?
-
on the Viper, the switches in question are 'Transmit Switch - UHF' and 'Transmit Switch - VHF'
-
Also make sure that you have the Com1 and Com2 "push to talk" buttons set upcorrectly.
-
Do you have the AIRIO extension, as I am fairly sure that the tune radio command only works when you have someone else in the aircraft, to do the tuning. Otherwise, you will need to tune it manually yourself.

if you would like to "sit" in a life-sized cockpit, albeit perhaps not as high resolution as probably scaled-down images on a flat screen(s), and not be distracted by anything that ED haven't "drawn", including other inhabitants of your dwelling, then VR is definitely the way to go. :) maybe get a demo first, perhaps with a friend or even at a store, and i am sure that you will see the potential. fair enough, the early generation headsets might be a little behind monitors on the resolution front, but that resolution gap is getting smaller with each new headset and the immersion is still way ahead, for me at least, even with a now ancient Rift CV1,

fair enough

but shouldn't the eHSI be in TACAN mode and not NAV mode? the way you have it, surely it will report the heading and distance to the next steerpoint and not the TACAN signal?

Wishlist: fix the default pilot position like the DCS F-16 Viper
Greyman replied to OttoPus's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
there is a thread on the Russian forum which explains why the HUD does not scale. as i think i said, it is something to do with the HUD being effectively projected well off into the distance. either way however, it doesn't explain why they can't set the image to a size where it will fit within the HUD frame, regardless of how far back the pilot is sitting in the cockpit. the image should not be truncated. -
make sure you only try turning to the right though, as i understand there is an issue with the strength of the left brake. ;)
-
do you know that there is a setting in the gameplay tab and another in the misc tab though? it's the one in the misc tab i was suggesting you check
-
maybe try 251. it might be a typo :)
-
maybe ED are going to release it into stable soon and have not completed their preparations yet. i'd wait for a set of stable patch notes stating that the update will include the F16, before expecting it to be available.
-
if that's not how you like it, then go to adjust controls and swap the mappings for trim nose up and trim nose down. job's a good 'un

Have you tried both UHF and VHF communication with the tanker, as it may be that the one you have tried is WIP? I might have dreamt it, but i am fairly sure that i've seen a report about VHF comms not being perfect. Maybe try "Texaco Select"/"Shell Select"/"Arco Select", whatever the tanker is called, for both PTTs to tune them both to the appropriate frequency and then "try approaching for refuel" on each of them.

Axis Assignments- can’t configure
Greyman replied to Sfzobie's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
sounds like multiple mappings to me. for example, if thrust is also mapped to rudder pedals, for example, then a full deflection in one of the directions might easily trick the aircraft into thinking that the thrust has been cut to zero. @SlapStik, just check that each axis is only mapped to one of your controls -
https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4068362&postcount=3094 apparently :) Edit: LOL, apparently, @Imacken and i have nothing better to do. i better go do some more AAR practice. :)

For 3, maybe check this thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=251465 and for 4 try https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=252096

It may be linked to the button, but not necessarily just the button. It looks like there might be some sort of flag to indicate that the recipients tanks are full and/or that the pilot has asked for a disconnect. The message appears to be the same for both, but the tanks full flag, that appears to get cleared, presumably when any amount of fuel is used. However, although the second flag appears to be getting set, when the button is pressed, it never seems to be getting cleared. Whether my assumptions are correct or not, I'm sure that ED will get to the bottom of it.

that's the issue i was talking about and i am sure that it will be fixed in the not too distant future. in the meantime, you might want to be careful about mentioning competing software, as your posts might get deleted.

MFG Crosswind - Review
Greyman replied to Flamin_Squirrel's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
anyone have any idea if the combat addons are still likely to appear?
