  1. No need, a simple copy-paste operation will do the job if only DCS is concerned.
  2. The registry entries related to copy protection do not contain absolute paths. They sort of contain a hash made from the IDs of key hardware components. I have at any point at least 2 versions installed on my system, release/open beta and closed beta. Due to the size of the closed beta SVN backlog, i've had to shuffle my installs (closed beta as well as release) around quite a few times and it has never resulted in the slightest of issues.
  3. Move the DCS Folder to the new drive, update your shortcuts and you should be good. Just recently did so myself with several installs. Addendum: Do mind that if you have a long list of minor hardware changes that have not yet required a reactivation, installing a SSD might tip the scale so you would have to reactivate. This concerns however *only* the unlikely case that you did change a lot of stuff around and haven't had to reactivate.
  4. Is that some kind of new store holding that bomb? Or am i just so used to the looks of the A-10 pylons?
  5. That's a difficult question. You will definately need a new card soon or you won't be able to update to DCSW 2.0. On the other hand, i can't say how e.g. a GTX960 will perform with your CPU under EDGE. For the short term, it might be more beneficial to get a cheaper card and invest in at least a CPU with higher single core performance. Do you think you could get something like a i5-2500k and mobo used and have some money to spare for a better GPU?
  6. Is that a different alq-184 from the one available right now?
  7. I don't see anything conflicting with the original feature list.
  8. They thought they could make a swept wing airplane that doesn't want to outright kill its pilot at high speed. ;)
  9. Have you tried running a repair on your install? Right now this sounds more like a corrupt install than a corrupt activation.
  10. What do you mean with "cockpits are frozen"? As for reactivation, it is perfectly normal for the modules to ask for a new activation when the CPU is changed. This constitutes a major hardware change.

  13. Flown much in EDGE lately, have you? ;)
  14. The small gauge inside looks like a suction gauge.
  17. I'm sure it'll work fine once SP1 is available for it.
  18. You're being a bit too liberal with my quote. I've had my share of pitchforks, i don't need you to put a smoking gun in my hand and throw me to the mob. ;)
  19. Probably will have to wait for the release of 2.0.
  20. Let's discuss the newsletter in its dedicated thread.
  21. You guys need to check your mailboxes.
  22. As a developer i consistently update libraries on my PC and i gotta say i find that *extremely* overkill, but that's your prerogative. Just saying, i haven't touched my OS since at least 3 years apart from upgrading Win 7 to 8 and adding a Fedora partition and everything works absolutely great. As long as you don't shorten the OS install period to less than 30 days, you are pretty much golden as that is the rate at which you are granted one additional activation whenever you reach 0.
  23. Yes, there is a way to deactivate, you can find the description in the quickstart manuals. Mind if i ask why you reinstall your OS every 3-6 months?
  24. http://xkcd.com/1516/ Now, back on topic! :)
  25. That would have been my next guess. :P:)
