  1. Just did some testing, seems that the radar is finally horizon stabilized, that the antenna tilt filter is working again and they indeed increased the clutter when you are getting ground returns from a hill or clouds. Even if the radar is horizon stabilized thought, when i point my nose to the ground (shallow dive, -10°) i get more clutter then when i'm level (i tested it for a couple of different altitude and observed the same behavior), now i think the antenna can tilt up and down more then 10°, so that would be wrong.
  2. Hello guys, I've been trying to use the RN-24/28 on multiplayer servers and, other then the fact that it seems to only destroy units that are above the explosion, it makes the ground passtrought, https://imgur.com/a/AahEs It does this in multiplayer and singleplayer. While the nukes are broken anyways and restricted on most servers, it's a shame, it's of course not for all scenarios but it's a very nice bomb to use in LOFT or Over-Shoulder bombing, but it doesn't do anything and it breaks the terrain :(. This might be due to the current DCS engine, only devs will tell :D. Regards, Rex.
  3. Seems like one of your axis doesn't return to 0, when you release the slew it sticks at like -3% so it slews down all of the time, try and add some deadzone to it maybe ? I had the same issue and it fixed it for me (Warthog Throttle).
  4. Nobody cares ? :( I do understand this is quite a small and not so important feature but it will be usefull when failures are implemented correctly.
  5. I'm not responsable for the change, thank Hijack ^^.
  6. They're back ! :D
  7. Since nobody specified the issue and the fact that i'm not having problems with (i only use GBU-12s, so it doesn't make a difference if you release a second too late or too early) it didn't help me guess what you were on about. So indeed with Mk-82s it's problematic.
  8. What's different ? The clutter is still a yellow mesh, it should be represented by birds (just like an aircraft).
  9. What doesn't work with the INS bombing ? the release cue is still bugged, ie when holding the trigger it releases immediately whereas it should release when it crosses the FPM. But other then that it works fine in the latest 1.5.7 update, didn't test in 2.1 but i doubt it will make a difference since they both got updated.
  10. Any news from the devs on this issue ? And, it actually goes quite a bit further then that, as seen in the video that Beamscanner sent, the F-20 billboard's has the Act/Power and the Launch button flashing. Now what i found is very old, but i doubt the logic is that much different with newer versions, it surely has evolved thought, This is a video about the AN/APR-25,26; and it shows how the RWR works and what all of the buttons do on the billboard, we can find the same Activity/Power button then on the F-5E's RWR, the same Launch button and slight twist, a AAA defeat switch, which hides AAA echos (kind of like the search mode hiding search radars). I found the clip very intresting, and it explains alot of other stuff and how the equipement itself and what is linked to the AN/APR-25 and 26 works. EDIT : Yeah someone had already posted this video on this thread.
  11. Ok, now i have a little bit more time to explain how this switch works and what it does :D. So lets begin, The sight bit test switch is loacated on the bottom right of the sight controls panel, https://imgur.com/a/I6Drf This switch is supposed to activate the Built-in-test (BIT) circuits when in the up position (Bit-2), middle position off and down Bit-1, https://imgur.com/a/kVVP6 Just info on the symbology. And the first page of the sight check section, telling what do the BIT circuits do and in which sight mode, https://imgur.com/a/QwBGG And here are some sketches of those tests, https://imgur.com/a/dACX8 That is only for aircrafts of group Nb°1 (triangle with a one in it) And for the second group, https://imgur.com/a/opp2H That covers the subject, as i said, i cannot explain very well so i pretty much screened the manual so you guys didn't have to bother downloading it then searching the correct page in this 600ish page lecture ^^. As i said before, not very important but would still be nice to see in game :). Regards, Rex.
  12. Well i do it properly, and i don't see how it's gonna be pay to win ? i mean i see it as a convenience. And as i said above, i agree that on cold war servers it shouldn't available. PS : having a GPS system not purposely designed for military usage and having a pay only R-77 is not the same thing at all (in terms of pay to win) ^^ EDIT : Actually i changed my mind, it should be era/scenario restricted.
  13. That would be a no, at least i hope, because while i agree with you that pilots have to rely on a timer and average speed and/or radio navigation in cold war era scenarios, paying 15 $ to see that 75% of servers disable it for a reason or another would be very anoying. People that want to do it properly will, others will use it. EDIT : But isn't it in the game already, did no one download it or test it and checked if options for it were available in the ME ?
  14. Yup, indeed that's a big problem, for F-5E pilots ^^
  15. Wait i didn't quite understand this new GPS module, will i have to pay more to have it on other aircrafts ? Or is this module going to be for multiple aircrafts, if yes, wich ones ? Edit : Ok first part of the question answered, just didn't quite understand the description of the module, it's a yes.
  16. Nicely hidden in a corner, thought i did find the keyboard command a while back, but it never seemed to start the timer. Anyways thanks very much for the answer, pressing it with the mouse is so far the only way i got it to work, but that's fine for me :).
  17. Hello, i noticed that there is a useless needle on the clock (located over the RWR control panel) i thought it was used for a timer but it doesn't seem that i can activate it even with the button on the bottom left corner. I do realise that i might be missing something but i've been searching for a long time what it's for ^^. Would be nice to see it work, as navigation with the F-5E requires a clock(with seconds)/timer. Regards, Rex.
  18. Hello, The AN/ASG-29 has built-in-test circuits and a switch to activate them, wich is located on the bottom right of the sight controls panel, this is supposed, when activated, to and i quote "The sight check procedure provide BIT check to determine go/no-go status of each mode of operation by correct reticle display indications", this quote along with all the necessary information about the BIT circuits and what they do is present in the manual (https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1946809/) section 1 page 41 to 46 and section 2 page 7 to 9. I truely suck at explaining so i stuck to the manual instead :D. These are not present in the module atm, while not being very important, it doesn't seem that hard to do and adds a touch of immersion and realism. Regards, Rex.
  19. Honnestly, i would wait for the 8700k, looks like Intel finally moved it's ass with the Ryzen release, it's gonna have 6 cores, finally, and it should in theory, if the rumors are right, be about 11% faster then the 7700k (wich wasn't much of an upgrade from the 6700K), but a 7820X for gaming is ridiculous and useless, the boards are more expensive and 99% of the time, games won't take advantage of all the cores. That or a Ryzen 5/7 chip, very compelling and costs way less then the equivalent Intel chips, in fact i need to upgrade soon too and i'd probably go for Ryzen.
  20. Not fixed in the latest 1.5.7 update, ARAK-AP rockets do not fire in any circumstances.
  21. Well define quick, because he could have gotten the bogey dopes quickly too. You should post the track or a tacview file.
  22. There is an AWACS, while not being as accurate, smart, helpfull or quick as a real GCI, it acts in the same way.

    Failures

Tthe failures tab doesn't work for some reason, i can't get any failures set up on any of my modules (A-10C, Mi-8, F-5E, Mirage,...). Most likely an ED side problem but yes it's not working currently.

    Failures

The failures tab In the mission editor, is that what you mean ?
  25. The Damage Model is definetly here, all the systems are burried deep in the airframe and the hydro system is triple redundant, the hydro alarm will only light up when a certain amount of pressure is left (can't remember it right now). You're most likely going to loose a wing before loosing hydraulics.
