Log into the ED website and go to your profile page. You'll see what you have in bonus cash on the left.

Under the old system we received 20% of the purchase cost as bonus cash. Under the new we can expect to receive 10%. With that understanding, I would be satisfied to see a 2:1 exchange rate ($2 of bonus cash in exchange for $1 in ED Miles). Furthermore, thank you for the new system; it's how things should have been done all along.

I have to agree with above comments that current points should carry over. Some of us have supported ED for quite some time, and have racked up quite a few bonus points. I used $15 just last week with the purchase of the MiG-19, and I still have plenty more. To just wipe the slate clean of those who have supported ED for so long is highly unfair. If you're not going to carry the points over, what incentive do I have to purchase anything between now and when this new loyalty program goes into effect (since it doesn't clearly state when this new program starts).

This is exactly my approach as well. Sets you up for a nice 30 degree dive angle. The approach I like even better is 200' @ 400 knots.

Flew it last night for 3 hours. Worked just fine for me.

I voted yes as well. But, like others above me, it greatly depends on what it is I'm paying for. I'm a firm believer in paying for that which I use. So I donate monthly to groups that I'm a member of to support things like websites, and game servers. These things cost money to someone, and as a regular user of those services, I feel obligated to help keep things running with small monthly donations. At present, Eagle Dynamics doesn't really offer anything other than maps and modules which we pay for already. However, if they were to create dedicated servers with dynamic missions in a multiplayer environment, ensuring a continuous war of sorts, then yes I'd be willing too pay a monthly fee of something between $10-15. I see it being no different than playing Blizzard's WoW, or other similar games, that provide the servers for which to play the game. Now that that has been said, there's one other catch. If I was to pay a monthly subscription to play a game on a company's server for a game they are providing, I'd also expect that game to run flawlessly. At present, ED isn't meeting either of those expectations.

Happy to see you were able to sort it out. Now you can really let the fun begin!!

There's a lighting issue with the Ka-50 that makes the AP buttons look like they are off, when in fact they are on. The button will be darker when on. This confuses a lot of people when first starting out in the Ka-50 as they think the APs are on by default. Just verify that this is not the case. As for control sensitivity, it comes down to personal preference. While the TMW is the most popular controller out there, it's certainly not the only controller on the market. All have their pros and cons. Not knowing which you are using, makes it difficult to tell you if you should apply curves, or adjust saturation. It's something you will have to tinker with till you find something you're comfortable with. Now, that being said, I do have some SAT-Y and CURVE on my setup. Try not to go too extreme though, as the greater the curve the more extreme the controls get at the outer limits. Again, hope the above helps. /r Baaz

1. Congratulations on being married to a hubby who knows that real pilots fly choppers. :megalol: 2. Regarding the diamond on the heading tape: I am assuming your not flying with route mode on, or way points activated in the PVI-800, so what is actually happening is every time you hit the trimmer button you're actually setting your autopilot on the heading the bird was on when you released the trimmer. Any further movement of the stick without touching trim, will make the bird want to return to the heading that you where heading when last hit trim. There are two schools of thought on how to best deal with this situation. Some people find it easier to repeatedly tap the trim as they make course corrections. Personally, I find it much easier to HOLD trim until I get the bird stabilized on the desired course. How you handle it is up to you. The important thing is you need to understand that the trimmer is tied into the autopilot system. 3. Regarding the ABRIS (MFCD as you call it), to make this English, you need to turn your avionics to English. At the moment, not being in game, I can't remember for the life of me which tab that is under (believe it's general). English cockpit in the Ka-50 is kind of a two-step process: a) Avionics to English (under general??), and b) cockpit to English under the Ka-50 tab. Hope the above helps, and may your new adventures be good ones. I know you're going to love it. /r Baaz

The vibrations you speak of sound like VRS. Throttling down too quickly with little airspeed can cause the aircraft to get entangled in unstable air induced by it's own rotors, and lead to a loss of lift. There really aren't any indicators to show this. When the helicopter starts to vibrate, it falls on you to know a situation is developing that you need to be aware of. That comes with experience. Best course of action to get out of VRS is to increase collective while going stick and rudder in opposite direction to get lateral movement, or side-slip. You will slip out of it pretty quickly, and if done right when caught soon enough, you lose at most 20 meters of altitude. An excellent video showing and explaining more clearly: As for making steep dives, trust me she can handle it. I've put her into a dive exceeding 380 km/h. Just don't make any sudden stick or rudder movements. If you're going to push the limits, you need to be smooth and steady with the controls; and again that knowledge comes with experience. Not sure what you're doing in the mission, but the mission itself certainly isn't hard. I think all you need to get to the end, is just more seat time to catch the little mistakes that are adding up on you.

Loadout option 1: LMAVs x 4 (4 potential targets); Loadout option 2: LMAVs x 2, GBU-12 x 4 (6 potential targets); Just saying. EDIT: I also forgot to mention I was tossing LGBs between 4-6 miles from target as well. So, not like I have to be right on top of said target either.

Work just fine in CCRP mode too. Tossed a few of them onto JTAC lased targets.

If I may chime in here for a moment. Cunning, if you would mind stating which "tutorial mission" you're flying, I will gladly check this mission out myself, test it, and give you my results. I truly don't believe this is an F-5 module issue, but will give you the benefit of doubt and test accordingly. I routinely fly the F-5, as it's one of my favorites after choppers, and I can tell you I do not have any issues dropping bombs and firing rockets, and will sometimes drop and fire both in a single pass. As with Tom, I believe the issue is specific to your configuration. Whether that is a binding issue, HOTAS issue, or technique you're using I can't say.

Good morning Suntsag, Just finished watching your video. Thank you for your efforts. Will look to see how I can incorporate this technique into my mission. Again, thank you. /r Baaz

Just curios, have you ever used the helmet system to fly the bird? Just look where you want to go and push a button.
-
I stand behind you 100%. Now, that being said, can we see some more images of your latest project? You know the one we all want to see. ;) Don't make me beg more than I absolutely have too, please.

Strongest helicopter in the world?? BAH! Clearly you've never flown the Ka-50 with its tail blown off, wings blown off, nose blown off, nearly half the coax rotor system in shambles, bleeding hydraulic fluid all over the countryside, and all with a smile on your face while yelling, "YAHOO!! NOW WE'RE FLYING!!" Was a hell of a flight. Took me nearly 30 minutes to go 3 km, and it was quite the workout; but man was it exciting.

Zhukov, Every now and then you type up something that's so incredibly true, I can't stop laughing about it. Given the subject matter, this is one of them. Thanks, it made my morning.

Pressing "C" on the keyboard, or the appropriate binding, will both cage and uncage your MAV. If when you rollout your MAV is way off boresight, it may take a few seconds for it to return. EDIT: I do believe the seeker of the MAV is still a WIP, and the return to boresight speeds may be part of that.

With a CTLD spawned JTAC from a crate, I have no way of repacking said crate (to my knowledge). With the randomness of where the troops could potentially be deployed, wouldn't I need to have trigger zones all over the place, move the JTAC to that zone, and then use the embark command?? I suppose I could create zones to cover a much larger area, and then as long as the JTAC is in that zone he can embark, but is that even possible with a CTLD crate-spawned JTAC?? I'm a big fan of your videos, and have watched each several times now. In this particular instance you may need to create one more to show just how you're process works.

Exactly, thank you for proving my point. At no point does it say ANYWHERE in ANY of those quotes that I expect a feature complete module.
-
ED has stated in simple terms that they have SME's available for consult. Those SME's can be held to an NDA and given a copy of the module(s) in question to test if even basic functions perform correctly. EVERY manufacturing/development company assumes some risk when developing a new product; whether it's developing a house, car, boat, train, or a module for our favorite sims. It should not become a norm where a product is released at a stage where basic functions don't work. We don't buy a house to see if the roof can repel rain, a car to see if that when we turn the steering wheel, the wheels actually turn, or a boat, to see if it actually floats. All of that is tested in house. I'm not asking, nor have I ever said, that I expect a module to be feature complete. In that regards, get off your high horse, and stop putting words in my mouth. Sorry if I'm being condescending, but you kind of tweaked a nerve. All I am asking for, and hope Heatblur is going to live up to, is their promise that they are going to give us early access to a product that is more in a beta stage, than one that is/was in pre-alpha.
