What difficult settings do you use? Do you have different modules to try this? Did you do the full start up? In some modules, when the hydraulic pressure for the controls isn't there so you can move the stick only very slow. Do you see the axis not moving in the controls menu?

Today i tried to mark targets with smoke in 2.1.1.11317 and could not do it at first. I found out that it works only without a headtracking device. It seems that the aimpoint for the smoke doesnt go with your headtracking. If you aim into the sky for example with your mouse and the headtracking is centered, you cant use smoke because you are aiming into the sky. When you then look down against ground with your headtracking device you still cant use smoke because the aimpoint for smoke stays in the sky. If you happen to have the aimpoint against ground you never know where it will go because your most likely looking somewhere else with your headtracking device. So you have to deactivate your headtracking. I could not find any post that adressed this.

I like alpenwolf's approach. The lack of F10 magic would encourage people to communicate more with the forward aircontroller on TS/Srs which would always help

Ty again for hosting this event, the outcome was awesome! My 2nd event here in dcs and I think because of your work ironmike newbies and veterans had no trouble to understand the idea of the event. Some things from yesterday: Simple radio will make things more realistic and easier in the future. A commander for each side at minimum, but ATC + "Magic" would help a lot. red magic and gamemaster can be one person. With more time more stuff set in the briefing: noflyzone today, ingress egress waypoints in the future + ... But most important imo will be standards for redflag: brevity, flight paths and altitudes when landing, take off, flight formation, air refueling, ... And this should be well documented and easy to understand: examples, pictures, checklists, ... I would help with that if someone makes that an open project. I saw other communities setting standards and in no time the player number jumped up and a new level of realism and quality was achieved although new players were present. Onyx

Do you want to keep Win7? Dcs will Update the version that you start and update. If you have Samsung SSD: I was fine doing the steps above with Samsung's tool and without deactivating any modules

Hey, I thought about an upgrade too. Atm I have an old i5 3470. But then I saw here: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html that it's in the same league like the ryzen 1600x. Do you think this source gives us an direction for dcs performance?
