  2. All important information of the engine like RPM, ppm, jpt, nozzle position and more can be found right of the UFC. Throttle position is dependent on a lot of factors. Max throttle is the last thing you want to set. For engine live the jpt and the RPM are most important and limits are described in the pocket guide. To develop the habit of keeping the engine RPM below 102% and only exceed the limits if you are in danger helps taking of multiple times with one jet. For fuel economy I can recommend the natops. Eg max endurance is at 6 alpha with flaps in cruise and about 230 kias. At high altitudes that's a little bit more than idle RPM to get you around at 400+ tas with 50 ppm.
  3. Good stuff! You guys solved some problems other servers' dynamic missions have or had. What i like especially: The "save zone"/airfields that you can not capture. This makes the mission playable even when one side has a big advantage in numbers and enables AWACS/Tankers. Only one aircraft type on one side (exception with Su25T). This allows the 3rd gen and any other non radar platform to operate without too much trouble. Your setup leaves room for F14 and F/A 18! Thank you for your time!
  5. Onyx Serious Uglies Germany blue F15C
  6. Server ran very smooth today, was fun as always! After restart (new Mission was Red@Kutaisi and Blue@Tiblisi) i hit a mig 3 times with an aim 9m fired from a hairrier. after a short dogfight the mig crashed because of stalling but didnt take any damage from the missiles. I asked the mig pilot what happend and he answered that he crashed because of sudden loss of control -> pilot mistake. I think the chat showed that he just crashed. Cant remember exactly. I hope this was a very rare bug and nothing else.
  9. Jester in Multiplayer I hope they will implement an option like the "Force INS Alignment" in the Mirage. With that the mission designer can decide wether Jester is too good for the MP Server and you ll need a human Rio or if it is ok to have Jester going.

    Wednesday Updates

Most updates were on a wednesday, weren't they? Don't mix them up with the newsletters!
  12. Hey, sehr cooles Video Jungs! Gut erklärt und sauber geflogen. Das einzige, was vielleicht nicht 100%ig war, ist die Erklärung zum Knock-It-Off/Terminate Call: P826 - 3-20 Comm Brevity: Knock-It-Off (KIO)- Term used to stop an entire multi-plane engagement/exercise. In the context of 1v1, used to end a specific engagement/exercise (e.g., Snapshot Drill). Terminate - Term used to stop an isolated engagement without knocking off the overall exercise. Skip it - Typically used during a Snapshot Drill (SSD); equivalent to "TERMINATE."
  13. +1 and make sure you don't have to use your keyboard or have any other little things that distracts you (Fence-In Check) Take one missile (no need to switch weapon selector) type for one sortie, start with r60m, the other missiles are quite heavy and decrease flight performance. Listen to awacs when available and check unit system. Don't use the radar! Pops up on all RWRs and you ll find nothing. Keep your eyes out of the cockpit and only check speed or fuel and similar important information. There are some experienced pilots that can employ r3r against fighters but all others usually only get distracted by radar usage. I rarely used it.
  14. Seeing how fast a carrier can turn it is impossible to land on it while they maneuver. Harrier might work. I would if possible place the carrier based on mission success like the PAKs we have now. New PAK captured -> Carrier is closer to the front line after 3h mission restart. For the F4 SEAD capability: Wild Weasel IV: converted F-4C with AGM-45 (36 aircraft) Wild Weasel V: converted F-4D with AGM-45 and AGM-78 (2 aircraft) Wild Weasel VI(F-4G): converted F-4E with AGM-45, AGM-78 and AGM-88 (134 aircraft) For flying SEAD and employing the missiles you also need the appropriate systems like ECM PODS, rails, EW equipment instead of guns, new fueltank ... So we most likely get a F-4E without SEAD capability. I am sure the mission designers will balance it out well and make quick changes for new modules, like they do now.
  15. You can see the impacts and a split second afterwards there is a little green circle following the line created by the impact points. There is only one circle at a time. It looks like the the calculation lags a little bit behind. Most likely this represents the real A10C.
  16. Thank you Heatblur Team for giving us the cherry on top of this awesome event! I hope you enjoyed the livestream. I am looking forward to events like this in Top Gun style: F14 vs F5 :joystick: Onyx
Throttle — FULL. 2. Set attitude — Witches hat at the pitch carets (continue to maintain wings level and vane centered). 3. Nozzles — Gradually rotate the nozzles aft. Nozzle rotation rate should enable the aircraft to maintain a slight climb. Note: Steps 2 and 3 are performed simultaneously, so that the effective nozzle angle with respect to the ground does not increase when the attitude is being set."
  18. Played before the Red Flag Event and everybody was frozen but we were not disconnected. Can also be somekind of scripting error that causes this. In my experience it runs better than before but the hickups are still there. Lets see what the end of the month brings us!
  19. Onyx i like to have one baguette2000c, too. I hope you will join us in the air this time, Maverick. And don't wait for Goose to show up!
  21. Awesome stream, Maverick! I think you caught most of the action and this zooming in and out looked really cool. New guys could also learn something about the 104th and the people involved. You always kept it funny and exiting. Was there anybody/server recording a TacView? Mine didnt record a thing. I hope the judges will also take missile defence and surviving the whole thing into account. :music_whistling:
  22. I can confirm the pipper worked fine as a long as i have the module. A difference of 85 m/s (306 km/h!) compared to the 29 can have a big impact. Hellyjumper, there is always hope :) : Daniel, you could read some articles or manuals on how to employ air to air guns. Even WW2 tactics can be used. Some minor advice: It is important to know what lead, direct and lag pursuit is. In a turn fight you have to fly lag pursuit to get in a firing position. Once there you have to fly lead to get the pipper on target. In the video you always fly lead or direct pursuit when not forced otherwise by low altitude. You also state that you "outturned the bandit" but actually he did by employing air brakes and forcing you to overshoot. He got back some advantage. Luckily for you he was unable to use it and tried to do a snapshot with a Fox 2 (way to close) that missed you. In his attempt he gets so slow that he is unable to recover the plane.
  23. Awls worked for me at groom lake when I remember it right. Make sure you have the right channel!
  24. example: plane: harrier no gci 4 of 10 players of your side are on srs in the target area you spot a m2k check player list: 5 m2k used, 3 on your side 2 on the enemy 1 m2k player answers you over comms that he is not in the area now you have a 50/50 chance to kill a friendly or not you are a good pilot so you dont shot him case 1: you fly home safe, m2k was enemy, gj case 2: you fly home safe, m2k was friendly, oh... good cap m2k, you scared away not only all enemy strikers but also your own, well done case 3: you strike the target, m2k was enemy and kills you directy after you can replace the harrier with any plane/helicopter that has no 4th gen radar nore IFF. flying only 4th gen fighters it doesnt look so bad but if you fly anything else this is a huge problem. Also saying that IRL they have equal planes on bothes sides means nothing because you dont fly into combat knowing nothing about other friendlies and have no communication... i really like having a lot of different planes in blue flag. Mirage on both sides mabye helps equaling player numbers but with a huge cost of not flown other planes, Blue on Blue and unsolved situations like above. i hope the buddyspike team is aiming for planes only on one side, too. i know they do their best to improve our experience. mabye we get more options in the future (FA18 vs M2k)
  25. I sense the need for a restart... May we have M2000C RED only :music_whistling:? Mabye that equals player numbers per side. And i really dont like same types on same sides. No GCI -> no chance of telling who is who for a non modern fighter without IFF -> gives modern fighters a unnecessary advantage (i think they should get only disadvantages)
