  1. I dont know about you, but my TADS export looks good. Granted the resolution of the monitor isnt greater than 600x800, but the actual monitors in these aircraft dont have to be high definition LCD. Unless someone knows better, Im fairly certain there isnt an aircraft out there that has resolution beyond 1080p. And to be fair, 1080p was high tech resolution back when the majority of these aircraft came online and NASA wasnt even using that to watch recorded shuttle launches. Some people really dont appreciate just how cheap the US govt can be.
  2. with all my hardware, I can barely afford a beer nowadays..I might be going back to driving the pinto again here soon!
  3. a '77 pinto is better than a stinger.
  4. Yeah? Try critiquing their work.
  5. Ive been experiencing this same issue where George takes over from a stable hover, and immediately drops altitude as well. Looking at the George AI menu, the altitude is set to 0; setting it to an altitude will either stop George from descending or he will ascend immediately afterwards. This was with an aircraft with an empty loadout. Ive noticed this during one of the training tutorials using the AGM114Ks and when asked to change seats; when active pause is removed, George just descends.
  6. it wouldnt accept the tower freq for some reason. I tried for maybe 5-10 minutes maybe longer, trying to get the frequency set on preset 1; selected preset 1, selected manual, typed in 131.6, hit enter, and the frequency remained on warlords frequency. It just would not change. Tried swapping the frequency on to the secondary and I couldnt change that one either. I have that whole mission recorded as Im going to put it on youtube. Ill post a link and a time frame reference for you when I have it up. No track file unfortunately.
  7. Id actually like to know if that heatsink can come off.
  8. On a side note, no other bugs with the mission until the end when I couldnt edit the VHF radio back to batman.
  9. Mission start, the chinook picks up and then immediately crashes into the parked Apache to my left. Happens repeatedly. STJH M4.trk STJH.trk
  10. No, its still on the chopping block. I might just build me something soon that I can add onto my flight seat pro when Im good and ready to retire in the next few months. Im barely getting only 300 bucks worth out of my sim seat and I find that irritating. I just rigged some timber onto my makeshift book case/left console.
  11. Ok, posted there in the #bug section
  12. says your discord invite is invalid. I have the tacview file, I didnt save the track file. Tacview shows there is a radar dish in Aleppo that he could have been looking to shoot. I wasnt about to fly for anohter hour to figure out where he was going, so I put my heli down before we got there. Ill try it again this afternoon.
  13. So I got to around wpt 6; my wingman and myself were cruising along when I accidentally hit the space bar and called out enemy platoon size near barn (no barn near me that I know of....). There was none, but I got the wingman to engage...and he flew all the way to Aleppo. I know that because thats how far I followed him. Or was the platoon I sent him to engage near Aleppo?
  14. wpt 1 is directly over the airfield you are at. since you're there, you have to fly over it in order to get wpt2 to activate...after someone already answered it.
  15. the trim hat in the Mi8 isnt a thing, but nothing stopping anyone from using the trim hat for the trim rotaries....its just easier that way if you dont have 3 encoders to spare.
  16. yep, but for the most part it doesnt matter in the sim.
  17. every auto start Ive ever done had to have some sort of assistance to get the engines turned on, and in the hornet its one of the easiest things to do. Battery on, APU on, left engine crank, left engine to idle @ 29%, right engine crank, right engine to idle @ 29%. The battery is the only thing not located on the left panel, so everything is relatively easy to see. You can do this while the auto start is doing its thing.
  18. well sometimes a fresh start is needed. I recently did just that and the vast majority of my issues just plopped right into the bowl and got flushed like a big turd.
  19. well, thats in real life audio. Im not really sure how pc speakers pollute the audio, but you will never get those kinds of frequencies on PC anyways since it overpowers the mics. what you get from that isnt 1000-3000hz at all. heres a good threat to start working from. aint much, but I can keep looking because Im now interested in this as well. I miss @zzzspace, this was his forte. anyways, you dont want the sound, you want the kick.
  20. why not just go with the caliber of the weapon you're shooting? you'd be looking at between 1000-3000hz. the faster the round, the louder the snap while the bigger round will have a bigger kick.
  21. I mean the design overall, I know the FFB part cant be done since someone else already holds that patent.
  22. Heres to hoping that walmis has a patent for his stuff...
  23. Well...we've been waiting on actual work of ANYTHING on the UH1H since the P51 got a reworked flight model, damage model, cockpit and airframe remodel/retexture...you know, considering it was the 4th module released by ED and all the other ones got some love too. Guess teh 'p'ache is too cool now. Yeah it got an engine overhaul a while ago, but an engine is just an engine.
  24. I have kind of an inappropriate question for this thread...but still appropriate for the most part.. who restarted the force feedback race? t just feels like it came out of nowhere in the last year or so with Brunners offering..
