We need an OV-10 bronco and your the guys to do it!
CodenameSection replied to Kroll's topic in RAZBAM
Really don't mind waiting a bit longer for this one, I'm just thankful it's being considered at all. The Bronco is such a fascinating aircraft and I'd love to see one fly in DCS someday! -
With 2.5 being over 80GB big if both NTTR and Caucasus are installed it'd be nice to free the extra ~14 or so GB that Caucasus takes up for those that mostly fly on the other maps. The current Module Manager doesn't allow you to uninstall, you can only disable it which doesn't delete any of the files.

One map that cover all of the Persian Gulf would be amazing although I won't be holding my breath for that to happen. I mean to even reach Iraq from the Strait of Hormuz you'd need to cover so much land it'd be big enough to be it's own terrain module (that's assuming that you'd want fully detailed space between the SoH and Iraq/Kuwait of course).

When it comes to Vietnam era light attack aircraft I'd prefer an OV-10 over the A-37 if that's feasible (someone over at hoggit claimed that it'd be hard to make a Bronco due to licensing issues or something along the lines of that). But it would be the first twin-turboprop and fixed-wing paratrooper platform in DCS, on top of that it would also be able to operate from our USS Tarawa and with it's superb cockpit visibility it'd be a great in VR. With all that said I'd still buy the Tweet even though it's not my first choice for it's particular mission profile and era. ;)

DCS: Mi-24P - What we know + Discussion
CodenameSection replied to MrDieing's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
For those that missed the little teaser from the ;) -
You already cited part of the reason of why a 2.5 release before the Holidays isn't the smartest move: lots of people will be at home, that's something that also includes the developers that won't be able to fix any critical bugs that come up during the x weeks that they have off. Personally I'd rather wait a few more weeks have something big like 2.5 release at a time where we can expect more frequent patches and hotfixes.

Some great stuff Atooyi! Looking forward to flying the Tomcat under Iranian colors, especially if we get a livery with that pretty splinter camo.

Is it a bird? Is it a super bird?

Thank god we just need to wait until before the week ends and not actually solve the riddle to escape  -

CodenameSection replied to Dolphin887's topic in Christen Eagle II
People are speculating that the triangle shaped thing in the middle of that teaser image could be the aircraft in question, so something with far back swept wings maybe an Su-17/22 or the elusive MiG-23? -
Die P-38 nase ist gut auf der linken zu erkennen, keine ahnung wem der flügel auf rechten seite gehört.

I just wanna give M3 kudos for being the best at teasing, they showed us a glimpse of their new project back in September and no has been able to pinpoint what "bird" it belonged to. Looking forward to see what you folks have been hiding in plain sight from us! -
Maybe it's because of licensing issues similar to how we don't have a Mirage 2000C but a M-2000C instead.
-
Yup sounds like they're part of the 3rd Party party now, Deka Ironworks has also confirmed that their Chinese asset pack is going to be released tomorrow along with the Harrier.
-
New screenshots of the module are up in the "in development" section!
-
+1 Yeah it's been oddly silent here for while now and I'd love to get an update on what the company is working on right now, especially since a new module release before January 2018 was on their roadmap according to this post from March this year

Pictures of the real deal are not exactly accurate when it comes to shape and size of an object most of the time due to the camera's lens distorting the image, you can see that very clearly in the first picture you posted. If you do really believe that RAZBAM has gotten something wrong with their Harrier do feel free to find the measurements of the real HUD and compare those to the in-game version.

How exactly is the airfield on Abu Musa to small for fighters, sure it won't be able to host Red Flag but it has a ramp and a nearly 3000 m long runway what more do you need?
-
Maybe they're working on a modern version of "Rosie the Rocketer" that has Javelin's instead of Bazooka launchers.
-
My bet is on an F-111. Experience with the variable sweep-wing, TF30s and the Jester AI from the Tomcat could translate really well onto the Aardvark.
-
Video games are a big enough medium so no one's going to turn this into some dumb headline. I wouldn't be against it, if the real deal carries it then sure add it. I would still put it at the bottom of my wishlist though because I'd rather see any other type of A-G munition that has actually been employed in real combat before the devs add B83s or B61s. As for whether it's actually planned for the module didn't Olgerd joke that we'd see "Space-Lasers" before we'd get B61s back when the F/A-18 thread was in the Chit-Chat section of the forum?
-
Definitely a big +1 from me! This is one of the things I'd love to see when we get the ATC improvements, more customization is always great. :)

F/A-18C Paint Schemes Wishlist / Requests Thread
CodenameSection replied to frixon28's topic in F/A-18C
Although I'm not sure if it's our specific Hornet I'd sure love to see the digital camo F/A-18 that the VMFA-314 uses. -
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the B Tomcat was cleared to carry GBU-12s but instead used the bigger GBU-16 and 24s. As for the TGP we could get the LANTIRN pod that was fitted on some of the F-14Bs, but as Sryan pointed out we don't know what sensor package we'll get at the moment tough I'm sure that we'll learn more in the coming weeks.
