  1. If that's the case then the 'flyby' view must go too. And many others.
  2. Pre-ordered. It already feels awesome and it not even released. No hype needed as I'm already hyped!
  3. Performance can be managed in the interim (by reducing settings) so I'd ensure that gets some love but not exclusively to the detriment of: Spotting, spotting and then spotting on 1440p+ displays Combat and flight AI Damage model Missile modelling (although that seems to be well in hand thankfully) Dedicated server and MP netcode improvements ATC Dynamic weather
  4. Don't sweat the small delay which is minor in the grand scheme of things. We are all very grateful for your work in providing a super plane. Although I know lots of F-14 pilots who won't be grateful when I do my best Jester impression and go guns on their ass in your A-4. But I'm going to have tons of fun.
  5. Hey ED! My eyes aren't getting any younger! Throw us a bone would ya?
  6. Good news. Can't wait to test this.
  7. Are sound mods multiplayer/integrity check compatible? Also, do they need to be re-installed after every patch?
  8. For which aircraft please?
  9. This sounds like a great introductory campaign. I'm going to try this soon. Thanks!
  10. This is possibly the most awaited DCS update for me, even ahead of damage model (but only just). Would also like some news, ideally news of it being in the beta!
  11. Would that not depend upon the other workload that the CPU is running? I.e. if a CPU running at standard clock speeds is heavily utilised, and processes are set to normal priority, then overclocking would benefit the CPU response for all processing.
  12. You can easily overclock some CPUs to 5Ghz but unfortunately the physical limits of current silicon based technology seems to be constraining what can be achieved with mass market cooling solutions. There needs to be a step change to get over that 5Ghz barrier for mass market CPUs it seems.
  13. This is interesting. Do you see much benefit for DCS in an M2 SSD over a SATA SSD?
  14. Well blow me down with a feather. I've just tried your suggestions and, as you say, it works. Thanks for your help, bolek and quinncidence!
  15. Unfortunately it doesn't show why a mission containing specific goals failed, which seems a bit of a strange omission. (Goals like 'don't enter The Container', or 'dodge 1-1 must not get shot down' etc).
  16. I enjoy watching other AI aircraft doing their thing. It would be good if I could select a specific aircraft on the map and view it as if I'd pressed F2, but without having to cycle through all the aircraft in the air.
  17. Have you tried since the change to the Patriot missiles LOS behaviour in the beta released last week?
  18. When I eject, and walk around the map. It feels even bigger.
  19. It's bad for 1.5 users. But much better for DCS as a whole. They can't keep supporting legacy code. Time to move on.
  20. Mig-21 won't be there due to the tragic accident in Romania.
  21. Hat and sunscreen a must. There is no shade outdoors and the sun really beats down (hopefully it will anyway!). I like the eastern end of the showground (I don't have a grandstand or enclosure ticket) because that's where they take off. However some people like to head for the middle where the choppers display mostly and the syncho pairs pass, etc. The static display is always huge and this year looks to be even bigger. So get there early to see all of that and not miss the flying display.
  22. I'll be there. Weather was not at all good on the Saturday last year and the F22 was disappointing too. But this year the line up looks great again and hopefully the cloud base stays up high. I am particularly looking forward to the Typhoon diamond 9, Vampire pair and UKR Flanker. But the Mig 21 might steal the show for me.
  23. It's released.
