Hi guys, so now one of the 3rd party developers Heatblur have managed to produce stunning looking hook physics for the F14. I was wondering if there is any chance Ed could maybe purchase the tech from them so we can get it added to the F18 as well? looks like it will really bring a lot to carrier ops.

Landing light switch only recognises 1 button
Cowboy10uk replied to Cowboy10uk's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
You know, it never occurred to me to map both the buttons to the one command. Of course. That makes perfect sense. Thankyou. It has been a long day at work, so that’s my excuse for being stupid. -
In a heartbeat

Hi all, I see the landing light switch on the collective is a 2 way switch, up for on and down for off. However in the controls menu, there is only the option to have it on 1 button. Which means I have to flip the switch on my collective up and down before returning to original position to switch my lights on and off. is there a way I can set it up as it is in the actual aircraft, flick switch up light comes on, switch down light goes off?

What an I doing wrong guys? Aligning INS in MP server
Cowboy10uk replied to Cowboy10uk's topic in AV-8B N/A
Ok just tested exactly the same mission, same sequence, BUT in SP and the timer starts counting and alignment works fine. guessing it’s gonna be a bug then. -
Hi all, I’m trying to get the INS to align when I first jump in cold and dark to a harrier in a MP server. But it will not start counting down the alignment for love nor money. Can someone look at my steps and tell where what I’m missing and going wrong as I’m at a loss. check parking break on throttle shut off. decs on, fuel on, fuel pumps left and right on, position lights bright, lights to norm batt on apu on mfd left and right on ufc brightness up Left mfd select EHSD, Data, A/C enter coordinates from kneeboard press N, enter north coordinates press enter, clarify they show on left mfd press E enter East coordinates press enter, clarify they show magvar press direction enter numbers enter, clarify it shows move dial to ins Gnd. now all that shows is qual : ATT NOT OK TIME : 00:00 flashing. please any help would be gratefully received. This is driving me nuts.

With all the changes that have come in, where on Earth do I start?
Cowboy10uk replied to Cowboy10uk's topic in AV-8B N/A
It’s a personal preference, I just struggle with the delivery and pace of their vids. Just find they tend to jump all over the place. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against them personally and I’m aware they have done wonders for our community, hell I’ve personally met them several times at different air shows, but for me I just don’t enjoy watching the vids. -

Thanks for the advice all, currently working my through Deephacks vids on you tube, as they seem to be the most upto date ones, apart from the GR ones, which I will admit I discounted straight away as I’m not a huge fan of their style. However the comments mentioned above about how quickly they get the vids out does make complete sense, so I’ll go back and have a look at them after I finish Deephacks. Managed to remember how to get her started up yesterday evening, although for some reason I couldn’t get NWS to work, just wouldn’t accept steering for love nor money, despite it stating NWS on the hud, so no idea what I did then. Sadly once I restarted in a different aircraft I then couldn’t get The INS to boot and download on the carrier. I made sure electrical cable was plugged in, and sea was selected on the dial but it just sat at 0 and wouldn’t start counting no matter what I did. So I’ll be back to the books to work that one out later today. However, I did at least get the darn thing started and most systems booted up, which I class as a win. -
Hi guys, I got harrier on day one. But despite loving the aircraft I really struggled with learning all the sensors, which meant she ended up being hangared once the Hornet appeared. I’m now ready to face my foes and get to grip with those sensors, however I’m aware of the fact there has been many many changes and updates since I hangared her. I’m just wondering what is the best way to learn the new systems and procedures. I normally use Chucks guides, although I understand that that’s now out of date itself. Almost all the videos I can find on YouTube are a year or two old, so I’m guessing are also quite out of date, and that the full manual hasn’t been released yet. so if anyone could point me in the right direction on how to learn this aircraft, I really would be most appreciative.

Perfect Thankyou, no idea how I’ve missed that.

Yep, think it’s fair this patch is a home run. One of the best experiences I’ve had in DCS, flying through weather today.

Looks like barrage fire has been included with 2.7.

Hi there guys, I was wondering if there is any chance of including known AAA positions on the map, either as a template that we can load, or installed as standard. this is an amazing map, but it doesn’t feel right flying about with no regard to AAA positions.

DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion
Cowboy10uk replied to msalama's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
Doublely so now we are getting new prop textures as well. those 2 Merlins are gonna look magnificent with the new tech. -
Must admit i would only like to see one thing turn up. the ability to fly proper slicks. No weapon mounts, apart from the door gunners, and NO sighting equipment in the pilot or co pilots location.

Ok so today was the day I popped my MP cherry so to speak. I’ve never used a public server in DCS in the last decade I’ve been flying in the sim. What can I say. Damn guys well done. That was stunning fun. Multicrew worked a treat, 3 of us in a Huey with the bloke in back counting us down to casualties was just amazing. Seriously immersive.. more so as initially the server was running at sunset, so started the rescue at dusk, and completed it in darkness. Great to see another rescue chopper working the same area and doing a searchlight scan as well. think it’s fair to say, we will become regular users of this server. a huge thanks to all that have put it together.
-
Thankyou. If it’s only one report, I won’t worry to much. If it gets to bad, we can all jump into individual aircraft.
-
Hi guys, thinking bout trying this server out tomorrow evening, it’s sounds amazing. Quick question, in regards to the Huey, but does the server allow the full Multicrew function to work. would be great working as a team to get a rescue complete.

Cheers for the review @dburne it’s always good to hear from those in our community who actually have used items rather than just listening to the company. Not that I don’t believe MFG in anyway. I love my pedals and he was a joy to deal with, but it’s always good to get 3rd party reports as well. im waiting on mine to be delivered, ordered the V1 / V2 upgrade last week when they came back into stock. never used any thing hydraulically dampened before, but I’ve only ever heard good things about it, hence I took a gamble. After reading this post, I do think the gamble is gonna pay off.

Actually it means the complete opposite and the the internal R and D controls have worked. They have picked up an issue during pre launch testing and have prevented the product being released with the issue. IF they released with the issue, I can be sure the same people moaning about the delay now, would be the same ones complaining about why was the product allowed to be released with the issue. I don’t know about you, but I know which route I would prefer they take.

Thanks for getting back so quickly. In that case I will follow closely and hope for a decision to be made soon. I have money for 2 Mossie burning a hole in my pocket. Promised my bro one for Christmas. But if you guys do go down the pre order route rather than early access, I can promise you I’ll be sending you my money within seconds of it going live.
