I was able to get it to work, my technique was just terrible. Reflected's carrier landing video helped me a lot.

The premade missions seem to be working fine, it’s custom missions where I’m seeing issues.

I tried watching track replays and it’s hard to tell what’s going on because the hook clips into the ship. The clipping is listed as a known issue, but I don’t know if that affects how it works. All I can say is that official missions seem to have it working.

I've tried to make a mission on the Caucasuses to see if that was the issue and I could not get a hook engagement on there as well. I've tried both calling inbound and also not. Didn't seem to make a difference. I have a 0% boarding rate in my user missions, but using the missions that came with the plane give me no issues. Also I've noticed that if I use a super carrier that I can trap on that with no issues as well, so I don't think it's my just ok approaches.

I'm having the same issue where I've placed a created Essex and I can't get the corsair to attach a wire no matter what I do. If I change that unit to a super carrier then I can catch a wire no problem.

I can't get a good hook engagement on the Essex. I know it's a me problem, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I’m having the same issue

I'm coming back to DCS after a long break and I noticed that I can no longer see the ball in the ship view, but can see it while in external view and cockpit. Is this a me problem, or is this a thing? The photo may be at the wrong angle for the ball itself, but you can see none of the datum lights are on either.

No climbing in the stack. If you need to go up you’d depart, go out ten miles and then come back in and go to the top of the stack.

Why not just use the datalink?

I don’t think that it makes much sense that a property of the carrier itself would be implemented differently in individual modules.

Can this get looked into again? The need to hold down a button to slew is the issue here. With the option unchecked the ground radar should be able to be slewed without holding down a button.
