  1. That is something only you can answer.
  2. When it is available to download - yes. It is not at the moment.
  3. According to the article it is still in testing and will go into service in the Fall. It also mentions Super Hornets as being capable, no mention of legacy Hornets. Wags / ED announced we are getting a 2000'ish airframe, so my assumption would be no.
  4. Training missions will likely come towards the end of EA, all of the features need to be present after all. No word, that I can remember, of a campaign - I'd set your expectations for it not having one included. Plenty of payware campaigns will be available down the road.
  5. The Stennis we have in game is very simple since no US based carrier aircraft were player controlled previously - not counting user mods. You cannot compare what is in the game today to what ED is working on to support the Hornet.
  6. The Stennis will already be in-game. There will be a separate paid DLC Carrier module(s) available at some point in time.
  7. I vaguely remember the discussion back in the days and I could simply be remembering wrong. If I am wrong, even better!
  8. QuiGon answered some of your questions already. One thing to keep in mind is that the SS of the A/G Radar was based on the old APG-65 DBS; we should be getting the APG-73 with SAR imaging. This would result in a higher resolution image than what the SS shows. With that said ED has not gone into detail about the A/G Radar yet and we have to wait for any official word. Yes, the A/G Radar will have several modes, one of those will be a GMT mode that tracks ground moving targets. The targeting pod is a separate sensor. The ATFLIR is just slightly less capable than the Lightning II. It will actually be a slight advantage. The only one that I have read on the official unit is 90 degrees off bore axis. We have not received an official word from ED what the JHMCS will be capable of in-game. 90 depress off of the bore axis. When it comes to the flare resistance we do not know to what extent it will be molded in-game. Way to many to mention...
  9. It will be a while and I wish you luck. All new releases will use the same type of DRM that the Harrier uses. That was announced at the time the Harrier was released into EA.
  10. There's an additional $16 bonus with this product; your confusion lies with the fact that it's not available on this module.
  11. People have had a mere 72 months since the F-18C was first announced to start saving for it.
  12. Feel better? The price is the price. If you do not see the value in the product at the given price, then simply do not buy it.
  13. You will most likely be fine waiting until next month.
  14. I believe they will, I imagine it will be a one week notice type of thing when it happens.
  15. ED didn't tease the Hornet stick during E3. Thrustmaster teased it and no one has heard a peep about it since.
  16. There will be no ban-hammer flying your way as you haven't violated any forum rules. I, too, am disappointed that a specific date wasn't given. I do understand why ED is taking this approach. They are trying to ensure that expectations are somewhat contained. ED will also try to beat their projection as they are saying that is their worst case scenario. No one can fault you if you decide that you want to wait for a specific date prior to your pre-purchase.
  17. The "free updated carrier" will most likely be a slightly modified CVN Stennis. We haven't seen too many details on this "gal" so I would constrain your one hype and limit your expectations. My, personal opinion, is that only the paid-for-module will have all of the things you are looking for. Again, if you set your expectations as such, you will only be content or pleasantly surprised later on.
  18. I almost had to downvote you on this one... :megalol:
  19. Chances are no, there will not be a bundle discount later that you can take advantage of while pre-purchasing the Hornet today. No, just no. NTTR started as a community project that would get bundled with the A-10C. It was not originally an ED project. ED took over it and then used it as a test bed to create the new terrain engines. ED could have easily released NTTR with only slight modifications to the Community Project long ago and not based off of the new engine. ED decided to do the best thing and we are all seeing the fruits of their labor with the numerous terrains we have and on the horizon. Not too mention all of the improvements over the LOMAC days of terrain.
  20. If you read the announcement it clearly stated the end of Spring 2018.
  21. 2.5, SOH, F/A-18C, F-14A/B, JF-17, Carrier(s). Give me those and I will be happy for at least a year before I want to see what is next.
  22. It should, I would at least get the 'Ti" version - imho...
  23. EXACTLY. As with vid cards there is always a "better, faster" around the corner. Yes; in this case you are not waiting weeks or months for the possibility of an announcement. They are announcing a newer headset with higher resolution. https://twitter.com/htcvive/status/949339978521169920 What's one more day? You can go ahead and purchase now - you may or may not come to regret it.
  24. My advice is to wait until Monday to see what the new HTC headset will have.
  25. Check out part 2.
