Huh, well that answers that. I don't actually know about the newsletter, and don't use FB. I guess I'm just a little surprised they didn't post it here, but there you go.

I just noticed some C101CC missions......when did this get released and how was I not notified??? :pilotfly: P.S. Anyone know how to work this thing?

Yeah, I'm glad for those who want the F-16, and it's not out of spite that I'll take a pass on it, but with the F-14 I'll be full up on fixed wings. Now give me a new good helo model, however, and I'm all over it. Mi-24 is something I'm really antsy for, and I was over the moon when a Stallion variant was being teased a year ago as a possible project. Just one bigger helo would be so amazing! Stallion, Chinook?

Tried that, got: Runtime Error: Index out of bounds for: joy0 in MapKey ( line 348 in targetdx128.tmh ) again. Also, fwiw, when I edited line 867 I first just deleted TBTN1, and it flagged TBTN2, so I deleted that, and it his TBTN 3 and 4, so I deleted the whole line which got me to the line 348 error.

Oh, you know what? I have one of the upgraded slews, so I don't have a mini-stick that pushes in like the original. I bet that's the issue. I'll try commenting out that line and I bet it works. So all the TBTNs in that line caused an error. Removing them brought up another error: Runtime Error: Index out of bounds for: joy0 in MapKey ( line 348 in targetdx128.tmh ) so I am guessing my slew mod is messing with it somehow. Oh well, back to the luas for me unless someone more clever can figure it ;) Still, a great thing you have done for those it works for.

I agree that the mic button press is pretty janky too. Which is why I never use it, it would be very difficult to press it and not accidentally press a direction on the stick. Other than that, with a slew upgrade, I'm very happy about 2 years in. The rest of it is well enough made imo.

Mouse pointer and head movement in VR
smallberries replied to VR FlightSim's topic in DCS Core Wish List
You could make it so the mouse cursor is bound by the edge of the screeen so it was "ground-stabilized" but compelled never to leave the boundary of the screen. -
Nicely done!

I think it's just because we love them so much. Like how I love my Mi-8. Every time I try sling-loading with the UH-1, it is just an "it". Like, 'what a little ..it.'

+1 bazillion (for everytime it aborts takeoff when I want to check my catapult hook) (for everytime I want to talk to ground crew and it defaults to ATC) (for everytime and everything. for a sim where we have to do everything manually, this makes no sense)
-
The UH-1 is less stable and required much more constant input than the Mi-8. If you get it trimmed out just so, it will fly straight and levelish for awhile, but basically it takes more hands-on. However you can throw it into more aggressive maneuvers with less trouble than the Mi-8. And if you want ez-mode, with the Huey you can let the AI do all your gunning, including the forward-facing guns. Still, the Mi-8 is more relaxing to fly.

Shouldn't be too big of an ask. As long as they are poking in there, I wonder if they would disable, or allow us to disable, the automatic popping up of the comms menu from ATC.

One request for me, you can be flying at 5000' a few miles abeam and get graded as if you were at the downturn....maybe have a ceiling/range limit for the LSO? I've stuck a landing after being told to wave off (I know, I know), re-launched, and been flying out downwind to initial and the LSO is trying to grade me.... Also, the HUD can read 1.1nm to the carrier at the downturn and you get told you're too close abeam...I think it's grading that improperly, as it seems to be impossible to turn in at a constant bank angle further out abeam and not be too long in the groove, or you come in too far to the left. I find to satisfy the LSO I have to turn in at about 35 degrees bank at the down turn, reduce my turn to 25 degrees at the 90, and then turn sharply again to line up, to satisfy the distance at the downturn and to get into the groove close enough to the ship, which plays merry hell with my descent rate. In the Navy flight manual I read that you're supposed to be .9 - 1.1nm at the downturn......? http://navyflightmanuals.tpub.com/P-1211/ Oh, nvm, that's for the Goshawk....I guess that's the difference :P .

DCS F/A-18 C JHMCS, how do I lock a target?
smallberries replied to Maddog_aut's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
That's being polite about it. -
What do you do first when the tomcat is available?
smallberries replied to Mking's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I suspect I will get it up in the air and find out what 'flat spin' means. -
Since I am the worst at spotting, better put me in the front seat.
-
It's not just with VR of course. It's the same with TrackIR. The mouse cursor needs "ground stabilization".
-
Yeah, I *thought* I had easy comms disabled, because my friends who I play with disable them when we play. So maybe that is it, going to try it anyways. Thanks!

UH60 Blackhawk Modern Day Utility Helicopter
smallberries replied to Kev2go's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I thought the CH-53E was somewhat in the works? -
Mine took a few weeks longer than it should have, I suspect Canada Customs, but it got here all the same. Don't sweat it. It's worth the wait.

How to get Trimmer controls working in DCS?
smallberries replied to TEMPEST.114's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
I'm not sure why you are assigning commands in the VKB Config tool....I think you will have better success assigning your commands in the DCS options.
