Does this mean the information about the MiG-19 team was inacurate ? At this point the main coders on the Mirage and the MLO due last year are the same who spent several months coding the MiG-19P. In the roadmap topic created two years ago, Prowler said that they would be no conflicts between the projects. At best his statement was awfully incorrect but I fear it was just purely deception. Some of the members here will argue that we knew what we were buying and I am a 100% ok with you, but the fact is I bought the Mirage last summer after they announced their FAF deal and the promise to deliver the new update by the end of the year. I didn't bought the Mirage when it was released as a preorder because I thought they could use some more time to refine it ; instead I waited and paid full price to show my support in an ingoing project who just secured a major deal. Since, it got pushed back constantly and we are now aiming for a Summer 2019 release at best. At what point should we get out of the early access ? Three years ? Five years ? The Mirage is on its way to its 3rd anniversary release date and Razbam announced the plane early 2014, five years ago ; that's already a good amount of time to develop a "simple" 4th gen single jet fighter. Some would say that Eagle Dynamics is also developing their Hornet for a long time but the fact is they're not releasing a new plane every year while they're working on a much more challenging plane. I'm with Dagger on this one. I think Razbam is creating a situation where Eagle Dynamics will need to enforce new rules about new modules development. I'm totally fine with the fact that 3D/textures artists and the FM/engine coder move on when then're done with their part of the job, but the system coders should not be allowed to leave behind projects that are lacking and still in beta state. Razbam is hurting its own brand but it's also hurting ED reputation by allowing modules in an eternal state of development and unfulfilled promises.

Can we have an update on the current roadmap from Razbam, the original message is already two years old. Thank you))

Take a deep breath if you can't stand people talking about a delay of the MLO and the reason behind it. That's just the way it is, these messages are nothing but on topic.

I didn't know the composition of the MiG-19 team. Razbam stated several times that the MiG-19 did not took any ressources from others projects … It sure put things into new perspectives.

Any snippet of information about the TECS then ? :x I had to try, right ? -
Pimax 5k plus order now and have it in 3 weeks or less!
33-DFTC replied to A Hamburgler's topic in Virtual Reality
I went for a 5K+ when the preorders opened last october and did not received it as well. I tried to get informations from support and never received an answer after several emails in the course of the last three weeks. This morning I went to Paypal to open a dispute and try to get an answer from Pimax, they didn't even bothered answering and I already received a refund … What a great way to make business Pimax ! -
I went for a spin on Razbam Discord and read from Zeus that the MLO will not met its deadline in Spring, at best Summer 2019. Oh boy, here we go again, we're in for a looong ride.

Interesting question. The team is about to go to France to scan various Mirage 2000 cockpits, perhaps we'll be able to have an updated -C model ?

Nonetheless, I still don't know what type of machine could run a single session. Considering how important a good GPU is to run the game smoothly, I'd like to know how the machine would behave without the graphic part. Providing requirements is common sense when releasing a software, right ? Edit : Yes for sure it's a step in the right direction. We just need to test it ourselves to give some feedbacks to the devs.

System requirements for running a session would be greatly appreciated)) Thanks

It's a bit sad but most of us are just used to the constant promised release updates being pushed back further and further. In my case, I was expecting the Mid-Life Overhaul update of the Mirage by the end of 2018 (that was the original plan after they secured the Armee de l'Air deal), then they announced it was pushed back and that the patches would come at a slow but steady pace from January 2019, it's almost March and we got wheel choks as the only update. You know, priorities … The truth is : we can't do absolutely nothing about their release schedule. What we can do instead is not supporting their upcoming projects by not preordering their modules. They already have at least five ongoing plane modules in active development and the last time I heard they didn't have as much coders, some of the planes have to suffer from the lack of manpower. I wish they could adopt their MiG-19 release policy for all their aircrafts, in my opinion, it is the way to go.

Regarding the transponder panel it's functional and extremely useful when used in conjunction of LotAtc. I cannot recommend enough this piece of software, it changes dramatically the multiplayer aspect of the game. I wish the biggest public servers used it, at least the ones oriented PvE.

Thanks for your feedback))

You're lucky guys, I ordered a headset on October and still waiting for any communication from Pimax. I guess I should be patient as some backers are still waiting for their headset while preorder customers started to receive them.

The Mirage 2000-C is still flying combat operations today, it is a possibility they made some adjustments/upgrades to allow their pilots to use NVGs.
-
NVGs are coming with the Mid-Life Overhaul planned for sometime this year. You can read the statement from Zeus by clicking here.

I flown a CAS training mission last night with a fellow human being as a JTAC and we experienced the same problem. We ran the stable version and did not updated with the patch made available yesterday. What's even more strange is that we made several CAS training earlier this week and did not have a single problem.

I was thinking about a successfull space sim and WWII sim, the rules from this forum does not allow us to give their names but I'm sure someone into the hobby will know them. If not, I can say that they offer very detailed environment, advanced (or less clumsy/cheating) AI and as much details as DCS. The only noticeable difference would be avionics as they are minimal in the WWII warbirds.
-
If no others sim developement teams did not offer much better performances within virtual reality I would totally agree with your statement, but the fact is others sims are well known to run way better than our own. ED made a choice to go all in and lead a vast amount of projects simultaneously instead of focusing on small incremental updates of their product as the others dev teams chose to. Sure we're getting a lot more content from ED but at the cost of stability and consistency. I wish they could change their mind set about that. There is so much needed work to be done on core level assets of DCS. I suppose we just have to deal with it.

Try these settings for clear (not blurry) VR! Nvidia users

A Vive ? -
Unfortunately you may be right. The fact that DCS stands alone in modern aerial warfare is not helping us to get the most from ED.
-
I thought you already have a 5K+ since you already made an exhaustive comparison to the Vive Pro in a previous message. Well, thanks anyway.
-
How would you compare your 5K+ and 8K in DCS ?

I remember a post from Heatblur several months back stating that the Baltic map was on hold. I would not keep high hopes for a Baltic theater coming soon.

Thank you for the details jojo))
