Considering the Mirage 2000-C flew for many years in several Escadrons de Chasse since the 80's I think it's safe to add a few patches of these E/C. I fly mainly in 80's, early 90's settings and I'd like to add a little extra to my logbook. The current logbook has a lot of squadron patches no longer in service in the US Air Force/Navy, or even squadron patches of non flyable aircrafts, still they are available to players.

Is there any news on this front ?
-
True, different teams are in charge of Razbam's plane set, but they still have only three coders for : Mirage 2000, Harrier, MiG-19, MiG-23 and F-15E (let's put aside the Super Tucano aside for now). Only three guys for 5 planes in active development is pretty thin IMO.
-
Considering they need to finish the Harrier, then return to the Mirage 2000 for some serious overhaul by May 2019 and last but not least, polishing the upcoming MiG-19, I doubt we'll see something about the F-15E in 2019.

Hello guys ! Today I flown a mission with a member of my squadron and for some reason our comm system went down during the flight. The situation didn't allowed us to Alt+Tab to reboot the soft and I thought at that moment that a basic hand signals system would have helped us to communicate. The new Jester AI from Heatblur already demonstrated that a wheel comm' interface can be integrated into DCS. Why couldn't we adapt it to choose hand/head signals ? I know this is a long shot, but who knows ? If many of us show an interest in this idea we could end up with a nice surprise someday.

Thank you for the update on the Mirage pilot))

Thrustmaster Hornet HOTAS?
33-DFTC replied to jeffham222's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
In 2016, during their 25th anniversary at NYC, they announced a new HOTAS for 2020. -
Hello guys ! I was wondering if Heatblur was planning to fly a mission with Wags as they did when the Viggen was released. The video still is one of my favorite module reveal today and is in my opinion, the best way to introduce your new plane to the community. For those who didn't see it, here's to the 2 hours video (two missions are flown while Wags and the devs discuss about the plane and its development).

This is what I understood from this statement : Edit : @Esac_mirmidon Nice ninja edit xD

It was an attempt of - obviously - poor humour and a reminder that some of us, Mirage drivers, are eagerly waiting for the upcoming updates of our favorite plane. While the Harrier has been released last year, the Mirage is already three years old. I think it's only fair to deliver a more complete experience for a plane being on the market for more much longer. If I got it right, the major winter update to the Mirage is postponed to an undisclosed date (right ?). So if we happen to have a few extras while waiting for it and not having Harrier pilots claimoring for getting updates before the Mirage it would be nice for once.
-
Please get a ticket, we're waiting for three years over here.

Yep, DCS engine is definitely not made for large engagements. I wish it was.

We have a significant improvement of the effective combat radius. Yesterday, while flying a "ferry" mission my fuel flow hit a very low 20kg/min (FL300, 0.75M, Configuration 6+8F).

I don't get the "in mostly terrible weather" part. Are you implying that european countries have bad weather most of the year ? Such a strange claim, perhaps I missed something in previous comments ?

While wormeaten has raised some concerns about Pimax, I don't feel ill-informed after the extensive coverage of the Pimax headsets done by several youtubers. We could also argue these youtubers could be partial but the recent comments expressed by Jabbers, a community member, are confirming what has been said on the headsets advantages and drawbacks. When someone is willing to spend such money on a product, I do think he will do an extensive search on it. Before the Pimax 5K Plus reaches the market, we'll have several feedbacks from others community members who backed Pimax on kickstarter ; then most of the VR enthusiasts will have a definitive answer to their question : is the Pimax 5K Plus the best VR headset on the market today ? So, if it was a western company it should not be a problem ? Come on …

This is related to the AP and the trim. Press the button you binded to momentarily deactivate the AP and those lines will disappear (it is the paddle on the real stick). When landing, you should press the same button until you have landed and controlled your on ground speed.

@jojo : I was being sarcastic :x I know there is no secret formula, the data exists but its pretty difficult to get our hands on it. I finally got it ! @jaguar : Unfortunately (for us), the data is still classified by the AdA, that's probably why we did not get any information on the module manual :/ Thank you again for your replies and answers guys ! Cheers)

Unveiling the VKB TECS Throttle Control System
33-DFTC replied to UIV's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
The picture is so tiny, we (I) need a bigger resolution photo pleaaase ! I've been flying with the MCG Pro for 9 months now and I just can't wait to put my hands on the TECS. Thanks for the snippets of information) -
Soooo ... There's virtually nobody calculating with precision its Bingo Fuel. I'm really surprised. So much hate from users towards Razbam to get functionalities on this bird when they don't even use a function as basic and vital as setting their bingo fuel value, that's insane. I really got the impression by reading the "Mirage 2000C Missing Feature/Bug list" thread that most of the people posting on this section of the board were going deep about realism. I suppose all this "study sim" thing people are craving for is just a way to complain and whine on Internet - as usual. Yeah, I'm disapointed. If by chance I find the information about the super secret formula of the Bingo Fuel, I'll come back and post it on this thread, who knows, someone could use it one day ?
-
From what I read, this is a way to calculate the Bingo for the Viper and not the Mirage 2000. The values cannot match from one plane to another unfortunately. I'll keep their formula in a safe waiting for the Belsimtek/ED Viper, thanks ;)
-
Jojo, you mention the final reserve/emergency fuel, but what's the actual quantity of it ? Do you have a source for it or are you adding it with a somewhat random number ? Do you add a full minute of post-combustion consumption to the equation in case of running into trouble too ? By the lack of answer concerning a chart about the different loadouts, I must assume that none is available online ? A plane flying a 6+8+14F configuration will not have the same consumption as a 6+8B+4*Mk82. The Joker/Bingo setting will be dramatically different from one configuration to another. I know I seem to be a "little" picky here but I'm really looking to get through the correct procedures when creating/editing missions and their briefings. Thank you for your help))
-
Thank you for the answer Blaizz, For a moment I though nobody would calculate his Joker/Bingo while planning a mission - I still suspect a vast majority of players don't do it. While I understand your formula, don't you include the quantity of fuel to reach the alternate field and the mandatory emergency fuel ? The emergency fuel quantity is what's really bugging me, I don't know what is the vital minimum required by the crew when the plane is shut down. Edit : Also, is there any table with different profiles to know the average consumption with different loadouts ?

Hi there ! I'm looking for documents teaching how to calculate the Bingo Fuel on the Mirage 2000C but after several days I can't find any. Does anyone knows the procedure used by M2000 pilots and willing to share it ? Thanks))

Is Thrustmaster dropping the ball?
33-DFTC replied to Faelwolf's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Several months back, waaaay before the rudder reveal I post some messages about what is waiting for us regarding Thrustmaster products. I linked an interview done during their anniversary event from one of the top official at TM. As some1 told, something else is coming for serious flight simmers. At least, something was in their books at the time of the interview. Let's keep faith. -
