  1. I suppose your friends don't need the plane to be as accurate as possible. And that's fine by me as everybody can enjoy the game the way they choose to. In my case I wish for a complete module that was promised four years ago. I never implied that my point of view was shared by the vast majority of the DCS userbase but it is representative of the people I play with - please grow up and don't imply something I didn't say. At what point early access is not tolerable anymore ? Five years ? Ten years ? I didn't know Razbam was part of Chris Roberts's CIG.
  2. Just keep telling yourself that. Almost everybody around me who purchased the Mirage almost four years ago has lost interest in Razbam products. These customers don't post because they simply don't care anymore and decided to support others developpers. That's it. The funny thing is that's Razbam who brought me to DCS, I can thank them for that. When I bought the Mirage I thought that I would support the team by purchasing the Harrier but after the Mirage debacle I chose to wait and see how the Harrier development would go. I'm glad I didn't waste money on this module. Still, I believe that ED will enforce Razbam to complete their current line up. I do hope the Harrier and the Mirage will be completed, I'd gladly buy a full fidelity Harrier.
  3. If we have to trust the reviews currently online, we already have most of the answers to your questions. The SDE is almost inexistant, the comfort is excellent, the robustness seems on point and the tracking ability while good in seated position could perform better in room scale environment.
  4. This is a one man project after all ? I read on r/hoggit yesterday a topic about someone on "the team" leaving because some disagreement. The topic has been removed since then :/
  5. I wish it was mine but it's not xD Just a picture I spotted on twitter from a random dude.
  6. That's a shame because the work is already done for the european market (english/french packaging).
  7. I don't have problems with the compass in MP or in SP training. I run stable version of DCS.
  8. You do realize I was replying to someone else claim right ? Reading all the comments posted in the thread before quoting some random post could be useful. Just sayin' And for what it's worth, the XTAL will be available at a later date in a consumer version. They announced it several months ago when they unveiled that SweViver, VoodooDE and MRTV were involved in the development. Don't worry you won't spend $5.000 on the headset, just a mere $1.000/2000 (pure speculation of my own).
  9. I watched the last couple videos from Tested and while they said the Reverb was the headset giving the best clarity, they never mentionned the XTAL but only the Rift and Index.
  10. I would say ground systems represented through Combined Arms as you say has not been the highest priority in ED's book at the moment. The vast majority of playable content is focused on planes and air to air combat. Except the Viggen we don't even have a proper AG radar after 20+ years of the franchise existence, I think it says a lot about the ground aspect of the sim'. It will come for sure, the Hornet and the Viper will have some serious options in this area and I'm eager to see what's the Viper will look like once completed. Again, I'm glad we get upgrades. It will reinforce immersion, mainly for virtual helicopters pilots who can actually have time to appreciate these kind of details.
  11. As a matter of fact I did not. Because I'm flying at best a few hundreds feets above (but to be honest I rarely go under FL100) and at several hundred knots. On the other hand I see plenty of old aicraft model from very close distance when I intercept them for a visual ID and boy some of those look ugly. Don't get me wrong, any upgrade is a good thing but DCS being primarly an aicraft combat simulation I expect the aicrafts being the priority. I know, it's nuts, right ?
  12. I'm a bit disapointed too about the ground vehicules being the priority instead of the aicraft models.
  13. I don't experience any issues with the kneeboard of flickering screen on the stable release. They said the module would be complete by the end of the MLO update this summer, let's wait and see.
  14. Multiple topics on this very page. Short answer : they removed it until an update of the 3D model, it's been 6+ months since last we heard about it.
  15. It's only May, almost five months since it's been broken. Patience my friends, we probably see nothing until the MLO ; that's sad but there's nothing we can do about it at the moment.
  16. Would you translate your post in english for non speaking french users please ?
  17. You're totally out of the point. Please don't take a single sentence of my post to justify whatever you're trying to defend.
  18. DCS is not made for WWII at this point. Absolutely nothing make sense when you look at the map and its assets - can we talk about the fact that none of the planes should be in Normandy in June '44 ? Eagle Dynamics move to complete a failed outsider project was nice, but I think they made a mistake. I don't blame Ugra Media for the state of the Normandy map, they're just doing what ED asked them to do, they're under a specific contract and if they moved on it's probably because ED asked them to. If I want to fly on a WWII realistic setting, I know where to go. Perhaps the situation will change, but at the current pace, I don't see it coming until a few years.
  19. And some have the expertise and experience to evaluate the situation and are not less concerned than regular joes who have made a leap of faith in supporting a 3rd party developer.
  20. it's out there.
  21. A very interesting (and worrisome) report from the US Government Accountability Office : You can find more highlights from the report or download the full document (81 pages, an easy read) by following this link.
  22. Monstertech is selling them if you already have hardware from their company. Here's the link.
  23. I'm not sure a price drop would ever happen regarding this kind of lenses. If a company needs a very specific lens with a very low tolerance error the price may never go under a minimum price. If I take my experience with photography, I paid a premium for my Leica lense and its price never dropped under a very hefty price. I hope time wil prove me wrong. Let's wait for the consumer version they're working on.
  24. Dream come true, one of the best option regarding the current line up of aircrafts available in DCS and the future chinese hardware coming to the sim.
  25. Hi AeroGator, I'm not the one having a problem, Pudu is. His call for help was in the previous page
