  1. I was experiencing this also on the Rotorheads server. I could see tracer fire and ATGM launches from a small town no more than 2-3km away, but for the life of me George couldn’t see them, but the AAA at 7km was no problem. I just put it down to server latency. I will try and save a track file next time.

I find by pointing my HMD Reticle in the center of the BRU and then move the head position, ie, up, down, left, right, forward, backward etc. via the key commands, will move the yellow circles into the center of the BRU all the while keeping your HMD reticle centered, then hit that "cursor enter" when they align. Afterwards, adjust your seating position as normal and you are now a 30mm marksman-ish.

  4. As per the title. I lost No2 engine post missile strike. Upon returning to base, I shut down and requested repair. Ground crew requested I shut down engines first. I could hear an engine noise and powered up the APU. Engine screen displayed Engine No2 TGT analog tape at 422C.   5. Looking for a new CPG....
  6. I was hit by a missile and took significant damage. Bitching betty was calling out "engine 1 & 2 out, Rotor RPM High". I initially thought autorotation time, but noticed both engines were still functioning. I jettisoned all stores and headed back to base, increasing torque to reduce high rotor rpm. Upon approach I noticed lowering the collective fully, only reduced my torque to 60%. I've uploaded the track file to Dropbox as it is 43mb, I'm not sure if it can be cropped. The first part I was busy adjusting flight controls as I thought something was amiss, I should have checked the weather report, more specifically the wind LOL. It would be interesting if someone could talk through what happened and maybe explain the conflicting reports or is it a possible bug?   8. When using the CPG TADS as acquisition source, the image on the pilots MFD is to dark, it’s difficult to recognise ground features as well as targets. I have used the dials on the left in an attempt to improve the image clarity but to no avail. Am I missing something? As you can see from the picture, I fly in VR (Reverb G2).
  9. I’ve not been in the cpg seat but from the pilots perspective everything is in front of you. At your 8 o’clock there are controls for internal and external lighting. Starting engines apu etc are at your 9 o’clock, so you should be able to manage the module without exacerbating your underlying ailment. I’m sure the CPG seat is the same.
  10. Re-sync your flight controls with your pc. Then delete all your axis commands and then reassign them. See if that helps.
  11. I believe this maybe implemented later. On similar posts, I think it was Wags who said the team plan on working on George to implement some form of independence.

  14. I have noticed in some videos that the IHDASS frame etc. is faded. As you can see from the picture, mine isn't. How do I change this? The option of IHDASS in the menu just removes the frame altogether. Thanks
  15. I’m not sure on the current guidelines in posting combat footage from the Ukrainian war, but I find the following footage really interesting. The KA-52 crew passes over the engagement zone multiple times until the inevitable happens. I find the video does not promote the war in the Ukraine, but shows a pilots view of rocket and cannon engagement and the dangers of passing over known enemy positions multiple times.

  18. A classic theatre of such undertakings is the Vietnam war. Helicopter crews, crew chiefs, mechanics etc. improvising and adapting their aircraft in theatre to meet active mission requirements.
  19. For me personally, it is like being 5-years old again on Christmas eve, full of excitement and anticipation for Christmas day. Yet come midnight its Ground Hog day, and I'm back to the morning of Christmas Eve again. It's not long to go before release, sit back and chill. Or if you like puzzles, try and figure out how you're going to map all those necessary commands onto to those few buttons on the joystick

  21. I’m in the same boat as you, i7-7700 @4.2ghz, gtx 1080Ti, 36gb ram, on a z270 gaming pro Carbon. I only fly helicopters and typically mp, apart from some stuttering when looking left/right out of the window, I find the game very smooth. Don’t ask me what the fps as I don’t know and don’t need to. I think for some, fps becomes such a focused target/demand during play, that it may influence a view point subjected to bias.

  23. You might be interested in Apaches over Libya. Once agains it’s British pilots but operating from a royal naval vessel, the first time that Apaches have undertaken operations in a maritime role.

  25. After updating DCS and Windows 10, I have yellowish marks appearing within my VR optics. They weren’t there previously; does anyone have any solutions?
