  1. I thought you'd say something like that! :megalol: Now if it was SU-27 at BS2/A10 level ... *sighs* ... I'll wait. Baby steps. FC3 next!
  2. That's strange .. I'm using the BB code to the link as supplied ... Here's a link to the image itself .. http://forums.eagle.ru/album.php?albumid=646&pictureid=4548 Hope you can see it. It's a real ripper :D The EDIT: Sheeeit you guys. Takin' the mickey out of an old fella! 'Ti'sn't sporting heheh.
  3. Forget who-is info ... explain this! And I'm not a superstitious kinda-guy (dammit ... posted that 'other' post in the wrong thread!). http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1475928#post1475928
  4. I heard voices. Honestly, without a word of a lie ... I was taking a piddle (sorely needed after my 2nd stubby) and the "voice" seeped into my consciousness, in synchronised flow with the amber liquid hitting the side of le-toilette bowl (hey! it's not rude if it's French!). It hit me like a ton of bricks (the thought .. not the toilet). Really no option have I ... to listen to the voices .. have to post this screenshot of my desktop. I have no idea what it means, I even forgot to shake. :megalol:
  5. I've gone through the forums and didn't see any announcements ... did I miss something?
  6. Hmm, if the Yanks wouldn't share something of this nature with us (as allies) ... makes you wonder how "high" the fidelity of systems and radar modelling is of anything built after the Korean War. And I imagine it's probably worse by a factor of magnitude for any of the newish Russian and Euro jets. Just as a point of interest :D. From News.com - KIM Beazley has told how Australia cracked top-secret American combat aircraft codes while he was defence minister in the 1980s. "We spied on them and we extracted the codes," Mr Beazley told Parliament during his valedictory speech today. Mr Beazley, who was defence minister from 1984 to 1990, said that when he took over the job he soon learned that the radar on Australia's Hornets could not identify most potentially hostile aircraft in the region. In other words, Australia's frontline fighter could not shoot down enemies in the region.
  7. Really? I could wish that DCS's next jet is a Hornet C or even an F16 (we already know it's going to be a US fast mover). The E is still too new IMO. I'd be very happy with a BMS level DCS : F16 ... especially as I don't often play the implemented Dynamic Campaign in the former title.
  8. That's not a dogfight! It's a massacre :D
  9. G'day Pikey! Of course  number 6. cinches the whole shebang doesn't it! Astrospud, are you speaking from personal experience? Heheh Marriage Counselling on the forum is one thing, but for real? I think I'd rather pull teeth from a fully conscious unrestrained grizzly with an inflamed lower jaw abscess. It'd be safer :D. On a serious note, I showed those screenshots to some mates @ work (who don't fly combat flight sims) and they were quite impressed. I feel that Combined Arms is going to blur the distinction between flight simulation addict and the hordes of 'other' game players. It's travelling a recognisably similar path of potential that WWIIOnline tried (but from a flight sim perspective failed to deliver IMO). I think that DCS: Combined Arms will deliver ... absolutely!
  10. This is what I did ... Give up smoking. This justifies expenditure to support combat flight-sim habit. Give up drinking & going to bars or pub. Same as 1. Give up womanizing. Wife will likely be eternally grateful (that she's at reduced risk of STD), and if not you still save money and medical bills. Make up a spreadsheet with projected savings and highlight that you can be playing in the same room as she while whe watches a rom-com. Grunt at appropriate junctures during the viewing of said rom-com ... She will let you play for as long as the rom-com episode lasts ... so count your blessings here, that's at least an hour longer (relatively pain free) than you otherwise would have got! Cheers!
  11. I'm always amazed at the amount and quality of the handy hints I pick up from browsing these forums ... thanks!
  12. This is a very cool idea ... rep inbound. Don't forget there is also the opportunity to play non-NATO as well ... especially when we start doing Cold War scenarios! The EDIT - sorry, didn't see july865's post above ... yes to that too.
  13. Wearing your heart on your sleeve mate, I like the *detail* in your sig .. lol!
  14. It's all part of the shadowy scheme to inoculate us with the idea of the imminent armagedon ... you know Control and Kaos agents were greeting cards salesmen in public life, ED/DCS make flight-sims. But beneath it all in the dark murky depths ... haha-hoho-haar-haar-shiver me gibblets matey, be scared, be very-very scared. So when's Combined Arms going to be released then?
  15. Definitely the best working solution IMO.
  16. And one vote AGAINST Steam ... But bloody brilliant on the original topic! Whoot Combined Arms .. my dream come true!
  17. Mate, you're welcome to use the same pic if you like :). Yeah, I'm hoping it will make it in to DCS World soon.
  18. Hey man, you saw right through the ruse. The (original) Hawg has a special place in my heart. Is it THAT transparent? :music_whistling:
  19. Yes. I bought IL2 CLOD from STEAM and was very dissatisfied.
  20. Fair enough 213, that seems to be a fairly common perception. However, the emphasis was on letting folk know that there was some stuff available at less than cost price ;o). Just in case they were interested, and not everyone might share your way of looking at things ;o).
  21. Nice one mate. Especially considering it's your first attempt, not bad at all! Now if I were to make an attempt at skinning a Mustang, it would probably result in a ban on purchasing any DCS product for the term of my natural life :D.
  22. Yeah. We had a bit of an 'expose' on the news the other night, it was mainly about how IKEA products were anywhere from 20 - 50 % more expensive in Australia compared to the US and the UK. But it's right across the board ... all stuff from overseas is expensive. I'm really grateful that ED/DCS sells direct :D
  23. Fantastic! I kept on hitting F2 on the keyboard to get an outside view lol.
