DCSW(1.2.0.3205) - Starting SU-25 Training causes CTD
Teapot replied to hughesj2's topic in Su-25T Issues
Eeek! Thats definitely not Paleo! -
Pull the udder one mate :D (Moooo-kaching)

Lost for words. You're actually rating the software by its file size!? You don't see that this is a beta of a crucial keystone upon which the whole dream of our future air land (& maybe sea) battle sim depends?

Aye aye aye aye aye ... !! Aye aye aye aye aye ... :notworthy::notworthy:... aye aye aye aye aye aye aye aye ... ... aye aye aye aye aye aye aye aye ... Just updated World, Warthog, Blackshark and the Pony .... had a quick fly ... aye aye aye aye aye aye aye aye ... ... the !!Pony!!, !!Warthog!! ... Blackshark even ... next pay getting Combined Arms. I love DCS!

Sounds very promising. I only finished d'nloading last night and will do the install this arvo after work. Just got to get through the next 5+ hours .. *sighs*
-
KiwiPete, hang in there mate! I think it's a DCS conspiracy to limit all torrents to places starting with "T", mabe with the exception of Texas ... it's bloody slow here that's for sure, Oh well the wait will be worth it, it always is! :P
-
That would be a day for rejoicing ;)
-
Beautiful! Have you got anything running in DCS World's environment yet?
-
Having been an infantryman in my previous incarnation I can categorically say that you will NEVER have a *hardcore* infantry simulation until they invent the Holodeck. :D
-
How would running a community server running *dedicated server software* be any different than as it stands now? Can't I setup a *community* mission server with the software in it's current form and have people play on it? Do you mean something along the lines of Aces High or Warbirds etc?
-
Oh yes, very true ... and we now have WWII headgear, so it's started already you see! If only I were that easy to please :D Can barely contain my excitement (these downloads are rather on the biggish side), after reading what Wags announced. I wish I could pull a sickie tomorrow!
-
I think tintifax was referring to the the FW 109 (ME + FW mixed pedigree) ... maybe we could also have some ME 190's :D To the OP, I would love for DCS 3rd party devs to develop a WWII era. I think it would be spectacular and extremely popular.

I wonder if the Hawker Sea Fury was the one that was originally based here in Toowoomba, owned by the late Guido Zuccoli (of Aerotec, still run by Mrs. Zuccoli)? His had an AN scheme as well. I really miss those days (a few years ago now) when Guido used to do fly overs over the town on special occassions (like during the Oakey Airshow etc) ... seemed to be roof top height, but obviously a bit higher :). The sound of the Sea Fury is really REALLY visceral, boot tingling rock your socks off experience. Guido died in a landing accident flying a T6, rest his soul.

Bang ... he's dead. Mercy killing. Move along now please >:[ Not sure about that (the patience bit). Could you hurry with the Harrier please? Not sure how long my faculties will stay intact to be able to fly it! :pilotfly:
-
Awesome, awesome work! Yep, I love the Harrier (even the AV8B :D)

A little insanity confers a distinct benefit when reading these forums; so they're performing a public service IMO. :D

Situational Awareness - The Virtual Battlefield Journal
Teapot replied to FLANKERATOR's topic in Multiplayer
I like the concept, but agree about the colour scheme being a little on the gaudy side. Something understated with less "tone" would be easier to read and the images would probably stand out more too. Cheers and good luck. Whatever happened to the old Flanker 1.5 ladder? -
Neat, simple and final. I really like that. Maybe there could be an FAQ (if there isn't one already), as this type of misconception appears quite regularly on this forum and on others. There are other misunderstandings that seem to me to appear quite regularly as well, e.g. Q. why pay $40 per plane. It should be $40 for the whole sim A. Each aircraft is a study sim in it's own right. If you don't want to fly a particular aircraft then don't buy it. Q. Why the Mustang, it doesn't fit. A. (in 2 parts) It's a study of the P51-D Mustang, just as the A10 and the Ka50 are study sims of those particular aircraft. The end-user controls which planes fly via the mission editor .. yada-yada. DCS World is not a simulation that imposes a specific storyline. It's an open modular world and people are free to design their simulation experience as they wish. Of course the complexity of these storylines will depend on an expanding base of 3rd Party Modules to populate the sandbox concept of DCS World. This will happen eventually. Q. Are you mad!? You've signed up 3rd Party Dev XYZ!? I've seen their product in Flightsim LMK and it was totally crap! A. (in 2 parts) They are developing now for DCS: World ... not sim LMK. It is unreasonable to draw conclusions on such disparate platforms. Is it really anyones business who ED/DCS hire and fire? etc .. etc .. you get the gist of it :D
-
Never heard of the MiG29X. I don't think it exists. :D
-
Now why would you want to go and say a thing like that?? That's just plain rude, cause none of us are part of the equation when these considerations are made. It's not really our business  Just wait and see; patience grasshopper. We can all do that without sticking the shiv in ... stay calm and wait and see. Everything works out the way it should, in the end.
-
I think ... oh never mind :megalol:
-
Ah mate, thinking outside the square! Good stuff!
-
Dammit GG! :D You've just thrown a spanner into my carefully crafted punting hypothesis! OK I'll re-cast the oracle (where's that damn goat?). Right, the juxtapositioning of goat entrails on the only fair unsullied maiden I could get my hands on, with such short notice (don't move Gertrude!), tells me that the GODS are indicating (after probing GG's fiendishly nefarious extrapolation of the facts on hand in order to cast the good forum denizens into confuzzlement) that it's probably going to be the SU27 ... :shocking: Hey everyone! I have it on good authority that the NEXT DCS JET will be ... The SU27 Flanker! WHooooooweee! :megalol:
-
I agree with you Zakatak. If I was a punter, I'd be betting on the Charlie Hornet as being odds on favourite to be the next jet.
-
I think it does.
