  1. I'm having the exact same problem with a brand new build here. I've submitted a support request to ED. I'm getting the same error when trying to activate A10C or BS2. Strangely BS1 activated without issue. Con3para, if you're still around - did you ever get this solved and how?
  2. For use on a touchscreen, of course. Thanks, Loz. I've enjoyed your original profile, so this upgrade is awesome! :)
  3. :pilotfly:A10-X - Stealth edition.:megalol: Seriously though... must be a bug...
  4. I have had this happen with my HOTAS Warthog slew hat, so it is not isolated to Saitek owners. It happened with my CH Pro Throttle slew stick as well in BS 1.02. I've found the issue more frequent in BS2, but I haven't yet had time to fully customize my controls, especially the curve for the slew hat. I agree it is the most annoying bug ever! :joystick:
  5. I bought mine when they first came out and quickly shelved my old CH throttle & stick. I've had 0 issues with it and have enjoyed every minute with it. I've no centre play or "sticktion" issues with it at all and I've logged many hours with it. I couldnt recommend it more. -Mack
  6. Happy Birthday!:drunk:
  7. Words cannot express this very sad news. :( RIP
  8. I hope to have time tonight to give this a try. I'll let you know how the BK2 responds. ;)
  9. A buddy and I flew BS2 for the first time last night. After some initial frustrations with my control config and finally giving up on target because my profile would stop responding mid-flight for some reason, I did the mappings in the BS2 control editor and it's working good now. (I still want to figure out the Target issue, though) Compared to BS1, I find BS2 to be much more immersive. Everything has improved. The sound engine as mentioned before is amazing. My BK2 is getting a work out, where it wouldn't even activate with the original Blackshark sound engine. The impact sounds of bullets are back, that were lost in 1.02. If you've got a BK you can feel impacts now, which is very helpful. What stood out the most for me when flying a quick mission last night, is that the improvments in the AI really add to the immersion when you're down in the weeds with the shark. To have targets actually move around when you're trying to take them out makes it feel a whole lot more immersive. One of the reasons I stopped flying BS1 was because more often then not, missions would turn into a boring shooting gallery. Not so anymore, with the new AI. Ground clutter and all the graphical improvements in general really make you feel like you're flying low and fast in the shark. This also adds to the immersion! :) Well worth the cost to upgrade - this is a whole new experiance! Can't thank ED enough. -Mack
  10. An unexpected and very pleasant surprise. Thank you, ED. You continue to impress! :) D'loading now...
  11. Very impressive work. +1 That's gotta be my favorite DCS tribute yet, right up there with GA's amazing work.
  12. I've got a Transformer TF101, as well. Would love to see an android iControl. :)
  13. Very impressive work! Very much looking forward to the release. "When it's ready", of course. :) Keep up the amazing work, Devs.
  14. Hi Guys, I'm also in Ontario and would be happy to join in sometime, if you need another wingman. Regards, Mack
  15. Wow, I don't think you'd ever be permitted to fly again after a dumb move like that...:joystick:
  16. Blackshark is currently more cpu than gpu dependant, so chances are it would perform better on your machine than A10. The A10 updated engine requires more gpu power to run. That said, I'd encourage you to look into getting some form of dedicated graphics. Even a mid range GPU would make a world of difference for you. Rememer that at some point ED will be updating blackshark to be at almost the same level as the A10, so you're going to need a dedicated card going forward. -Mack
  17. Have about 13 hours into it and really enjoying it. Glad to see it brought back as the original was amazing. Part 2 was a huge disappointment but this prequel has made up for it in spades.
  18. Just when I thought TD couldn't get any worse... :music_whistling:
  19. See here - I think it's what you're looking for. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=70929&highlight=android&page=5 I just ordered an Asus Transformer, myself. Did alot of comparisons and it seems the best bang for the buck when you buy it in a bundle with the keyboard dock that basically turns it into a netbook. Plus 16 hours of battery life is really hard to beat. :) Edit: Just got home and my new Asus Transformer was delivered. So far I'm very impressed with this little gadget. The keyboard will take some getting used to but it's much easier for typing then a touch screen. I highly recommend if you're looking for a tablet. :) -Mack
  20. CH Pro Peds & HOTAS Warthog combo here. No complaints. CH are solid and great quality.
  21. Sometimes you just gotta take chances... ;) Seriously, I think there are more HOTAS Warthog controllers out there without problems then there are with. The failure rate is probably quite low. It's just that the people with issues are the ones we hear most about. We don't often hear from the satisfied customers. I purchased my HOTAS Warthog when they first came out and I've had 0 issues with it and many flight hours on it. Just make sure your firmware is up to date and you should hopefully be fine. If all else fails and you end up having problems, that's what warranty's are for. :) If you download the latest drivers from Thrustmaster, they come with the latest firmware. Run the firmware update utility and it will tell you if you need to update your firmware or not. Good luck and enjoy your HOTAS Warthog! (We know you will! ;) )
  22. I recently upgraded from tir 4 to 5 and I love the improvement. I Was having trouble with 4 losing track due to it being placed atop my 40" LCD. That's not an issue with trackir 5.
  23. Apparently they didn't read the NDA. Somebody is gonna get fired. :(
  24. Sorry, man... I guess the fact that you're using track-ir 4 should have been my first clue....:music_whistling: Anyways, I hope you manage to find a solution. Good luck! :)
  25. I highly recommend the Steelcase Leap, if you're looking for an excellent ergonomic chair and can afford it. It solved my back pain when simming for hours at a time: http://www.steelcase.com/en/products/category/seating/task/leap/pages/overview.aspx As for the bobblehead issue, I agree with the others. Once you get used to track-ir, and solve your ergonomic woes the problem will go away. -Mack
