I would love ti see a B-52H or a B-1B and it I don't see myself in 8 to 12 h missions either but i with the maps we have a nice 3 hour bombing Mission in a nice threat envirement with guys in F-14's and F-18's flying CAP and excort - that would be amazing. But i suspect there a alot of hurdles to be overcome to get those birds as PFM/ASM-modules in DCS

On that one I count on mvsgas expertise: Flight Model-wise the question is, will you have to alter the whole FM or would you be able to program that as some kind of external store like some underwing fuel tanks

Yeah i hope that HB may be releasing some recommendation or something like that, if we want a realistic Sound Setting based on feedback with their SME's or some comments from maybe Victory205 :D BTW. thats some nice experience! You don't fly anymore?

Yeah, i know Cylon that was already discussed on the page before. I asked specifically for a recommended slider setting for world, cockpit etc. sounds in the menu settings to get a close approximation what you hear with double ear protection in the cat. Since the jets are so different regarding cockpit noise I would love to get some feedback on this :thumbup: Which aircraft did you fly btw and could you give some inout in this as i only have some hours in the C172 IRL

Absolutely guys! The only viable option imho is a "tick a box" implementation otherwise probad would be Right! Strictly USAF Block 50 CJ avionics etc. I just think the Viper is a special case with so many versions active in so many countries, where it can be justified to give the player base a little bit more headroom to get creativ. And - mvsgas you know it better than anyone else here since you're answering those request alot over at the Viper thread - CFT-Option may be the single most requested "unrealistic feature" to be implemented. I would love to have this creativ freedom to simulate e.g. polish Block 52+. My only concern would be - and you mentioned that already in the Viper thread mvsgas IIRC - that i would probably as easy to implement as eg. a drop tank and that it could tie up significant development resources.

The opposite is true! We all respect and love that ED is going to simulate a specific airframe to the tinest detail. Nobody I know wants to Change that, nor do I. In the consequence requesting addional versions of the Viper e.g. a belgian F-16A or a greece F-16C Block 52+ is completely unrealsitic. We will get a USAF F-16CJ and not a HAF F-16C Block 52+ or anything else. On the other hand people should at least respect that people e.g. from europe would love to fly the aircraft their respective countries AF fly - just look at the livery section do these guys over their also don't give a damn about what DCS stands for because liveries are also just for the looks. to voice the opinion that it would be nice to have the option to add CFT's in a Wishlist thread should not be branded as negating what DCS stands for. ED also incorprated skins with the Hornet of countries that don't use the Lot 20 C-model (or in the case of Israel at all). Without question, additional - and for our model unrealistic - mounting options take this step further. Is it a completely unreasonable wish - i don't think so. Will ED do something like that - probably and most likely not. But does it equal not giving a **** about the DNA of DCS - absolutely not. It's about the guys from europe the middle east or the far east who would love to get a little optical bonus to try to get a little closer to simulate their respective AF operation.

So what settings would give us a realistic (but maybe boring) sound experience?

Yeah that is what i suspect - you can't hear any of that. The clicking sounds in the Viggen are so damn good. Absolutely no Intention to request a removal of any sound-modelling here - just to be clear. Point is - I would be very interested in getting some Feedback from the SME/Dev-side what a realistic combination of our Sound Settings in the DCS menu system would look like. Can those guys recommend a specific slider Setting/combination when using a Headset (in my case Sennehiser GSP 600)

Completely OT: Would be nice to hear a comment from a RL fighter Pilot if you can actually hear that stuff under your Helmet in Cockpit. In the Cessna 172 you can't hear **** with the engine running and with headphones on besides the engine and your comms

I hope HB will approach you on doing something like that with the A-model! Yeah that's what i suspected given our B got LANTIRN. IIRC VF-84 was disestablished before LANTIRN reached the Fleet

Maybe HB can set something up with Victory 205 with a nice VF-84 livery :D - at least when the A-model drops :pilotfly:y When we have guys active in the community with extended stick time in the respective bird, it would be really nice to involve these community members - if they want of course. There is so much knowledge and willingness to share it (if question are within the obvious parameters) - i think we are really blessed with some very nice guys/girls here! Cheers

I know that it's completely unrealistic and i put the picture up for fun. The point is, there are a lot of countries - as you know - that operate Block 52+ or Block 60 Vipers with CFT's like Greece, Poland, Turkey, the UAE, Egypt, Pakistan - I don't count the Sufa in here and for Israel - we can simulate the Barak with limited weapons load without CFT's - and the Player base from These countries would love to resemble their respective Air Force Vipers as good as possible. That's why this Topic constantly and repeatedly Comes up again despite everybody knowing that USAF Vipers don't use CFT's and despite knowing we won't get any export Version. The servers can restrict the use of CFT's and specific weapons to specific countries e.g. You must not mount CFT's and a HTS on the same plane and a lot of people in Europe and the middle east would be very happy :) And it looks cool even on USAF Vipers

Yeah, it's indeed really unfortunate. I would love to see a euro canard/delta while the Rafale seems to be out of Question, an early tranche Typhoon or a Gripen A model would be absolutely amazing. If that is possible i don't know

Yeah, they have a separate download for the A-10C versions as seen in the Quotation i used. BTW i tried the Tornado mod with the A-10C and it uses the Warthog Pit and avionics - had some problems with a slightly misplaced pit and Problems with getting the tpod to work but other than that

I had the hope - since we have e.g. the Tornado available with the A-10C pit - that the Integration of the hornet pit with a different FM M2K or F-15C would be possible. The combination of the model with the modern pit of the hornet and the similar shape of the canopy etc. would be amazing

Sorry Rick, may be a stupid question, but where in the user files canthe livery be found? I wasn't able to locate your livery.
