  1. The LAU-88 is still on the A-10C, they can slant load 2 mavericks.
  2. The modification to allow those munitions didn't happen until 2008-2009. DCS F-16C Viper is a 2007 version, which will be M4.2 maybe M4.3, and did not allow for the AGM-154 JSOW.
  3. Yes we were spoiled by the Falcon. Single loaded 65s on a 117 is the only authorized configuration on the USAF Viper, and only on station 3 and 7. Station 4 and 6 do not have the video capability for the mavericks.
  4. 1.) Same exact handle. 2.) Real stick moves just a tiny bit, probably 1/4" but just enough to give the pilot feedback on his/her input. Real Simulator FSSB R3 will give you a force sensing like the real jet, but it is $$$. 3.) CH did have a close replica, have no experience with. X52, similar but not 1:1. 4.) The HOTAS Cougar was USB, the issue is the Throttle had the gameport, but it was connected to the stick base, then base connected to the PC via USB. Real Simulator has an adapter to go from Gameport to USB. http://realsimulator.com/html/tusba.html
  5. Wasn't here for the A-10C I see. It will be a long process, nothing new there.
  6. The JHMCS was introduced to the Blk 50 aircraft in 2005, so the ED version of a 2007 would be correct.
  7. Confirmed that the ENTER button is slightly taller or extends further outwards than the other UFC buttons.
  8. I don't think the ENTER button is raised like that on USAF vipers. Give me a day and I'll get back with an update. EDIT: Check and it does have a raised ENTER button.
  9. What he said isn't 100% fact though, we still fly with the 120s on the wingtips daily.
  10. Cart had to cancel an event at Texas Motor Speedway a several years ago due to high Gs on the drivers. I suspect that was just like a centrifuge due to the constant left turning, even with the little bit of straight away it had, the cars were moving pretty quick.
  11. Luke was the worse, oh the days of being the leak crew on Friday nights after last goes. Jumping from jet to jet with sheet metal in tow. Most repair would hold over for a few weeks, then it would be back. If I recall correctly, Luke 01-06 we didn't carry 120s, just the CAP9 and ACMI pod.
  12. What's up Wicked? All is well here, excited to see the Viper is happening. :pilotfly:
  13. Misread the issue
  14. You have exceeded the grip of the tires.
  15. The USAF viper has never flown an active configuration with triple 65s. The rocket motor close out seal aka buttplug of the inboard shoulder mounted 65 will destroy the ailerons, ensuring a catastrophic failure and likely crashing the aircraft.
  16. Advanced IFF
  17. Problem is the weight is causing the same problems.
  18. Structural fatigue which leads to leaking fuel tank, potential for cracking and complete structural failure.
  19. Okay I can get behind that. Haha
  20. AMEDooley there are reports of cracking out there too, but I’ve tighten the horizontal bolts more times than I dare to count.
  21. Correct, and upgrade the switches for higher quality from the original version. **Sniped, what he said^^
  22. As mentioned the Cougar wasn’t force sensor either. The grip of the real viper is identical to the TM Warthog grip. The Cougar didn’t have the the Z-axis on the CMS switch.
  23. May have been the intended reasoning way back when. However, not entirely true anymore, the added weight (vs AIM9 or nothing) is causing some issues.
  24. Request for the throttle re-release has long since been submitted, which is the only thing that would be needed since the hawg stick is the viper stick.
