  1. To me, the DCS Viper feels like a RL Eagle pit, open and spacious. The real Viper pit like you have experienced isn't portrayed very well here. Oh and to remain on topic, yeah the MFDs also seem small, and no where near as bright as they should be.
  2. It isn't so much DCS, but how Windows handled the combined devices. It would combined them, but also leave individual controllers as well. So DCS would see the device twice, and create duplicate commands, etc.
  3. I'll go sit in the jet on Tuesday again, just to make sure something didn't change between the last several hundreds of jets I was in. Images are pretty accurate as well.
  4. The 370 gallon external fuel tank pylon is an assembly and only used for fuel tanks on the USAF Vipers. There is no swapping out an umbilicals “so it can carry weapons”. It is not capable of housing a mau-12 to hold weapons. The fuel tank pylon assembly goes up as a pair, comes down as a pair, jettisoned as a pair.
  5. Do you use Sync HOTAS? If so, disable and see if problem continues. Otherwise a track can help.
  6. Cursor Enable isn’t the Weapons Release button. You need Weapons Release (may say Pickle, not at PC can’t verify actual name) in order to release missiles and AG stores on the Viper. Unlike the Hornet which uses the trigger for AA and Gun.
  7. GW limitation is 42,300 for all phases of aircraft movement, including towing, taxi, take off, in-flight, and even landing.
  8. Where did the ability go that would auto switch without needing to say “Switch” to relay to SRS if no Game AI units were on radio? Under MP I have three options Broadcast Parallel (dislike because human wingman hear the call), TX Link (disliked the double click requirement), and Dynamic Switch (forced to say switch to talk via srs always). I currently have it set as dynamic switch but it doesn’t really dynamically work. I’m forced to say switch every time I open the mic just to talk via SRS. Sorry if this should be different topic, it started with the Listening Suspended fix I believe and seems linked in a way. This has really changed the way I can use Vaicom and SRS, and honestly wish the previous method was still available. Any insight will be helpful.
  9. Until we have the ability to set this from the DL page, the only method that I know that works is:
  10. You know you can try it for 2 weeks for free right?
  11. Except in my case the FCR (& 65s) cursor wasn't drifting. Only time a drift occurred was in when TGP went SOI. Took me several days of trying to solve it. Definitely didn't present itself as a cursor drift issue as only TGP drifted.
  12. IMHO it should be a Special options feature on ALL modules, not all joysticks are treated equally and they wear over time. I know this can be done, seen some neat special options from the community. Someone with a bigger brain could probably hack up something in the mean time.
  13. I fly mostly in MP with some SP and have issues. So it isn't tied to the MP variable. I do not have it mapped, I have never had more than 3 (TX) mapped. Guess that is something I would need to re-consider, maybe a command to open intercom and hold (not sure if possible) definitely gives me something to think about.
  14. Experiencing the Listening Suspended as well. I noticed that VAICOM stops listening immediately and goes into RLY mode if the in game radio isn't tuned to a frequency with units (aka ATC, Tanker, etc), regardless if SRS is running or not. If I have radios tuned to a frequency with units it works with no issues. My hurdle at the moment is there will be no more talking with ground crew until power is on the aircraft via VA/VAICOM unless using the keyboard menus...yuck. I'm using MP / VOIP Control / Dynamic Switching, tried the TX Link with and without MP Only, and I didn't like the double tapping requirement.
  15. Not a lot of info, so a stab in the dark. Did you shut down when you landed, or did you keep the jet running? If you shut down, did you run another alignment? The alignment isn't saved if you shut down.
  16. Doesn’t work in VR. He has no way to develop for it as he has no vr hardware.
  17. Seems I have some lingering F10 options, into the manual to recall how to clean that up.
  18. So the thread title, most advance users would read title and say update your AIRIO plugin by the manual. That's what I thought as well, except I have done that. Along with going to the Editor/Finish and following the instructions. So what am I missing? Short of a nuclear action. I have the Pro Version and then the following: Chatter Theme, AIRIO, Realistic ATC, Interactive Kneeboard. Updated VAICOM and VoiceAttack this week for latest versions. My directories are correct, no strays of dcs in SG or Installation.
  19. Yes aft (outboard) is spring-loaded to off (center) and the forward (inboard) has a detent keeping it in closed (not spring-loaded to center). Identical design to the Warthog, Cougar, at Winwing throttles, possible others but those are my limit with experience.
  20. Do you have a track of this behavior? That is not the experience I see with the speedbrakes, but you're not the first person to say they have experienced it. Gear down and locked, the speedbrakes will open fully if switch is held but will retard to 43° when switch is released. If speedbrakes are opened fully before the gear is down and locked, they will retard to 43° once the gear is down and locked. If gear is up the speedbrakes will remain at their extended state at the time the switch is released. This could be fully open, partial, or anywhere in between. If the gear is down and locked, and the speedbrake switch is held to open, the speedbrakes will remain in their fully open state. Once the NLG compresses, the 43° limit is gone, and opening the speedbrake fully can be commanded without holding the switch.
  21. Don't think they do ever, but I stay on the ground don't get to see everything. When I had the opportunity to ride in the back, none of my pilots changed their seat position. Additionally I was instructed to use a fist to find my sweet spot. Ball the fist, place it on top of the helmet and raise the seat until my fist touched canopy.
  22. It is part of the ALQ-213 system, not to be confused with the Dispense Button that is forward of the switch.
