Usually this works using the mouse. Maybe your mouse is outside the VR window? -

Purchased! Got to hurry up and finish the book though. Then retrain myself on the hornet and redo all my bindings. It's been a while. -

Tomorrow is the day, hopefully. Looks great and I'm going to enjoy it so much more having read through the book. I refuse to start the campaign until I finish it, got some more chapters to go. -

It's not as exciting as raven one for or dcs in general. It will have VR support for the Reverb G2 first then other headsets later. That's more of a super casual game since it can even played on console. Regardless, eagerly waiting the campaign release and going through the audio book now. -

Yup I ended up getting the audio book. Listened last night before bed and I'm 6 chapters in. It's great. Would have preferred the hard copy but I didn't want to wait with Prime not really being 2 days anymore with covid and all. -

Was really nice to listen to everyone talk about the campaign and their experiences in real life. I want to read the book but I can't figure out where I can get the hard copy. Bookstores around me don't seem to carry it. Is the audio book also recommended? -
All it is, is countdown to an announcement which may include launch dates.

Regardless when these cards come out, it will be very tough to get one in the beginning. Usually they sell out in minutes. Aftermarket versions with different cooling usually come out a month or more later. Even those sell out extremely quickly. The way I look at, the release date does not really matter right away.

I think it's more like those that have issues are more likely to voice them. As always, with new tech there is always the possibility of issues but that's the gamble of being an early adopter. In my case I've always been unlucky when buying something new. Doesn't mean I've completely been put off by said item. If anything i would rather have something happen day 10 than day 366 when the warranty is over. Pretty sure they took care of the cable issue with the G2 now that it doesn't disconnect, the new lenses should be better quality too.

According to a reddit post, it's with ED for testing..maybe next open beta if we are lucky? -
Those all sound like refurbished units that were fixed each with parts for different reasons since they all behave differently. I would be pretty let down having to go through multiple devices. I guess I was lucky that when I sent my original back they did not have a replacement policy yet. I did a return and reordered for brand new unit. I sure hope the G2 fairs better.

I don't even know if I have two year warranty on my pro. I'm in the US and when I registered mine it only said 1 year. Bought directly from HP. It does suck that they only send one part out at a time. But if it's quick, then it shouldn't be an issue. I've noticed my reverb acting up and getting slow at times recently. Mine could be going bad but I have not used it in a while. Waiting for the hornet raven one campaign to get back into DCS.
-
That's weird so they just sent you a new headset without a cable? I figured you would get a whole new set and then you would send yours back. Either the cable or the unit they sent is bad.
-
Do you have another monitor to plug into the display port that you use for the Reverb? Maybe your port went bad? Tried alternate USB ports too?

That's really nice. I'm still going to attempt the AAR but if I get super frustrated because I haven't flown in a while, this is a nice touch. I'm known for being one not to give up. Just having that feature makes me feel more comfortable. -
The founders editions basically set the price point for the other cards or they have in the past. They usually do come pre over clocked and for those that want to really push the overclock, people have said they don't go as far? I really never bothered to overclock my GPU. Mainly because it takes a long time to test everything for stability and I get bored running benchmarks all day. Other than that, the cooling solution was shunned upon because they used to use a blower. But I don't think cooling this time will be a problem with the 3 series.

Those models are usually great. I had one of the earlier models at some point and was able to sell it before I got my 1080ti. Great quality, and solid performance. EVGA and Asus Rog strix models are usually my go to's. Have had way to many issues with gigabyte and other brands. I wish all the third party AIB's would come out at the same time as the founders editions. Waiting sucks but it's worse when they just release and they sell out. Took me like 4 months to get my current 1080ti because I didn't want FE and wanted a decent third party brand. They would sell out so quick.
-
I have an 850w psu now and yea 300-350w for the card alone is crazy to think about. Founders edition is what I will be getting if I can snag one. Not taking my chances waiting for third parties as who knows how long that will take before you can grab one. My card is still fine now but I can tell it is getting old for as long as I've had it. I'm seeing a few inconsistencies with it every now and then.
-
I'm guessing we can still use a 6+2 as that is what I've always seen as well. So you would need 3 6+2 pin connectors. I just hope it fits in my mid size atx case. If I end up having to buy a new case because it's a much beefier card than my ROG strix 1080ti, I might as well just rebuild with a newer CPU/memory and Mobo.
-
Yep that 3080ti will be pricey. Especially if you need to swap out other components too. I recently read some article where it said the 3080ti needs a more powerful psu connector, could be a 12pin instead of 8. So for some people that have modular psu's I guess you add another cable if you have the room and ability. Otherwise you may need another psu. Not so expensive in reality but it's always a pain to swap out psu's.

Yea my z370 E Asus board has some usb A 3.1 ports + type c and it says they support 3A power output. The usb C is on the same section as the other two USB A ports. I may as well try it out and if not I'll just have to find a bigger extension cord to plug the damn headset in when I get one.
-
Yea hopefully it does. I looked up the specs of my motherboard and my USB C port only supplies 3 Amps of power. So as long as yours puts out 6 watts you should be good. Looks like I'll need to use an adapter and also have the headset plugged into a power outlet.
-
Was just browsing the reverb Reddit thread. The G2 needs a USB C port that supplies 6w of power. If you don't have one you will have to get an C to A adapter and use the included powerbrick to plug in the headset to an outlet as well. My Mobo has a USB c port but I've never used it and not sure if it supplies enough power. I guess another option is to get a pcie USB card that has a C port.
-
Could be worth a shot. I have a dedicated startek USB card that has power separately for the USB lanes as opposed to getting power from the Mobo. Perhaps changing the USB slot to one of the other 4 may help. I also have a powered USB hub with more than enough ports but that stupid reverb cable, the way it splits the display port and USB cable into two, makes the USB portion of it too short to reach my powered USB hub on my desk.
