  1. I had to take a break from dcs for a good 7-8 months. I remember I left off at mission 10 birds of prey I believe in TEW 3.0. I've purchased the A10C-2 so if I want to continue the campaign with the new model what do i have to do?
  2. With my G1 wmr portal starts up on it's own each time my monitor wakes up from sleep or every time I reboot my pc.
  3. Probably have to make sure to drop some settings in dcs and have PD in game at 1.0. I usually turn down the traffic and shadows, reduce or turn off msa if not needed.
  4. How's it with the 1080ti? Is it performang fine in dcs ?
  5. How's the comfort? For long sorties I always feel like the G1 got a bit uncomfortable because I had to have it tight on my face so it wouldn't move because the sweet spot had to be aligned properly.
  6. That's not what it says here. AMD's 6800xt and 6900xt independent reviews are coming soon. They are already suspected to perform better or very close to the 3080 and 3090. Stock will be an issue regardless of what is coming out. But they will respond with something whether it's this or a small price cut. https://www.techpowerup.com/274505/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3080-ti-landing-in-january-at-usd-999
  7. I'm glad that I will just wait. There is no telling when I'll get a new GPU. Looking to get the 3080ti when it's out in January but who the hell knows. The g2 should work fine though on this 1080ti until that time comes. Hopefully everyone that ordered one doesn't have to wait too long.
  8. Here I am waiting for a 3080ti after the AMD reveal lol.
  9. No you shouldn't need to. But I would wait and see if the 20GB 3080's come in December or at least wait to see what AMD offers. The 3090 is more of a designer's card. Performance gains between 3090 and 3080 for gaming are very small.
  10. Probably will not be a separate campaign but it will be updated to make room for the A10C-II to be used.
  11. You can edit the logbook to start at a mission you were at after BD adds changes to the campaign so you can use the A10C-II. This is for people that were in the middle of the campaign before the new model aircraft came out.
  12. I think I got stuck on mission 9 or 10 and I have not had a chance to get back to it because i heard that the version 2 module would be out. I also vote that we can choose which A10 model to use. That would be the quickest option. A new campaign will take a lot of time. I still can't wait for the iron flag campaign!!
  13. Looks like I have a better chance getting this thing in December than I do getting one of the Nvidia GPU's.
  14. I remember testing quite a few of these missions back then but of course with the new A-10C-II there's probably several things that most likely will have to be tweaked and updated to fit the new model. BD has never let us down, saying it's abandoned is far fetched. It may take longer but remember in the end it will be all worth it..assuming ED patches don't break stuff as soon as it's out lol.
  15. Very nice I'm looking forward to running these again with the A-10C II.
  16. If I had a 2080ti I would most likely not upgrade this cycle. My 1080ti is getting old and I definitely want to play cyberpunk when it's out. I won't be gaming at 4k but I do want to keep a new card more than a year like I have been. Not to mention getting back into DCS when the Reverb G2 is out so the extra power is welcome. If I were you I'd wait for reviews and I certainly would feel much better in your position. I for sure don't want to wait 6 months to another year to see if a "Ti" model is actually a thing. But at the same time it feels like I'm just blowing money on a 3090...maybe not if I keep it 3 years. I dunno, it's not about money as I have it to spend but it's more about making logical decisions with it and getting proper value. I feel like what Nvidia has been doing with the release cycles has been very crappy. If a 3080ti comes out for $1000 it's worth it. But if it's $1200 or more, than the 3090 is at least for me making more sense. I'd be keeping it another 3 years.
  17. From some leaked benchmarks, the 3080 only was about 24% faster than a 2080ti so I'm skeptical about the 3090. Based on the Nvidia presentation, I was expecting better gains. 3090 doesn't seem like it's that much better than a 3080 except with a lot more ram. I would say it's probably safe to get a 3090 and keep it as long as people kept a 1080ti if you don't mind the price. I will try to order one on the 24th this month but if I don't get one, it's not like I'll be able to get a new card anytime soon. So then I'll be waiting to see what happens after AMD reveals.
  18. Pretty much all missions in this campaign are cold start on the deck.
  19. Yep I can fit a 16 inch long card in this case. Just concerned about the sides since it's a 3 slot card. Probably being optimistic here because I may not even be able to grab one from Nvidia.
  20. I just hope the 3090 will fit in my Entho evolve mid size case. It looks like it should but it's so darn thick too.
  21. The only thing I worry about the 3080 is the vram. It may be good for a year but I think after that it may not be enough for a flagship. Right out of the gate Ms flight 2020 eats vram. We will see. I will try and fit a 3090 in my case because I don't want to upgrade for the next 3 years again.
  22. My Entho evolve atx mid size should fit a 3090 I just worry the thickness/width will hit the ram sticks. I can fit a 16.3 inch GPU in there now as I don't need the extra hard drive brackets. I'll try to get one on Sept 24 too but who knows. Assuming evga also puts them out for sale the same day as Nvidia store. I'll take either one I suppose. Whether it's a worthy upgrade I can keep for 3 years like my 1080ti, only time will tell. It may make more sense to get a 3080 now then a 3080ti when that is released 6 months from now or a year from now. The gap between 3080 and 3090 is so large. They have to put something else in there. I hate how they do this.
  23. The EVGA is what I want but who knows when I'll be able to get one. Are they releasing them the same day as Nvidia is? Although they do look uglier compared to the regular versions.
  24. So anyone here getting a 3090? I'm considering it but I don't know if it will fit in my case/motherboard. The 3080 is also nice but less vram than my current 1080ti.
  25. Yea same here. I'm planning on getting a 3080ti if it comes out in September or whenever. I really hope the G2 is more comfortable to wear for longer periods of time. Because right now with the G1 I do get fatigued since I have to keep it pretty tight on my face.
