Right that makes sense. I remember on a Reddit thread it said to choose the game support or omen support. I did that initially but the guy on the phone kept telling me I had a consumer model not a pro until he looked it up in a different database. Hopefully you won't have any issues with your new one!
-
That's weird how support varies by each user. My first reverb they couldn't even ship me out a new one. I had to call sales and tell them since I just got it the tech department couldn't do an advanced rma so I wanted to do a return and then I had to order another unit.

Andre's shop sells these. He is very active here on the forums. https://andres.shop

Yes start with that guide. There's too many conflicting views on VR.

I also don't use the shaders mod. Found no real benefit from it visually. Some of the other tweaks he mentions are very useful like the windows settings, clearing the shaders and making sure you have an idea of what each dcs graphics option does to performance. I use a PD of 1.0 and 100% SS for the reverb and it's pretty smooth. Haven't even touched motion reprojection at all.

This may help some people.

I upgraded my psu to a 850w modular one. I used to have a 650 but as I kept upgrading parts I also kept adding peripherals so it balances out.

I really enjoy these training missions and again I can't wait until you are done with the A10C training campaign..not to digress. But I think what could help is just re ordering of the harrier training missions. Cockpit walkthrough, cold start, then insert the navigation one next and then the landing missions.

Right I agree. I just told the person try 100% to see if it improves because they had mentioned performance was awful and the super sampling they were using was 200%. I used to run pd of 1.5 with my Samsung Odyssey. But I've been having fine performance with pd of 1 and SS at 100% with mostly high settings in dcs. I will try 200% at one point but I don't think my 1080ti will like it much.

Steam vr and wmr for steam vr has been updated and you don't need to run at 200% anymore. You just need it at 100%. Also remove and extra pixel density you have set in dcs settings.

The training missions aren't by razbam but by Baltic Dragon who makes really awesome campaigns like the mirage one, the enemy within 3.0. The training missions are very detailed to make it realistic. I do agree that the waypoint stuff was not covered previously but everything else is detailed like the real procedure. There are short version of the missions too. Which do cut down on some of the dialogue. I didn't find them boring at all. But I think redoing them could feel a bit like a chore. But to be honest it makes learning the module more interesting and interactive. If they are too simple people will say they are not detailed enough or not interactive enough. I guess not everyone will be pleased.

Where is this latency setting in the Nvidia control panel?

I updated my board last year which is why I have one because the previous gigabyte board which was also a gaming board, didn't have type C. Mine currently is a red port.
-
My motherboard only has one USB c port but I don't think everyone's board has them. They are more widely accepted now and should be more of a normality soon.

I've never figured it out either. When I had the cv1, it didn't work with the pcie card I bought, it worked with the mobo USB sockets but had issues. So I bought a better pcie card. The issue is each person's usb's sockets will be different so there is no telling what the real solution would be. Specifically each mobo will have different drivers for USB too. Not so universal after all. I remember a lot of people complaining when the Oculus came out, that it required a third party USB card.
-
What's odd is since the last update, I checked this file and it had the same values mentioned here so I didn't have to make any changes. The VR view did seem a bit less forward. I know I had made a note for myself to change it next time I flew.
-
This is true, not all pcie cards work for everyone. I had to buy a different one, startek with individual power for each bus that I use now. I also have a powered USB hub which I use for my hotas.

I haven't had any issues knock on wood but hp should have already done this from the beginning.
-
Sorry to hear. That does suck but hopefully you can still enjoy dcs with trackir.
-
That's for private beta. You want the option that is the public beta
-
Why is your custom resolution set to 150%? 100% for everything should be enough assuming you are using the beta version wmr for steam vr app. Within steam search the store for windows mixed reality and see if you have that downloaded. If you do, when you right click the app and go to settings, there is a beta tab you can go to and opt into the beta version of this app. Also turn off advanced super sampling filter. It can make things worse for you if your system can't handle it. I would start by settings all the percentage scales to 100%

Announcement - new A-10C DLC training campaign
sze5003 replied to baltic_dragon's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Yes someone also told me that you can still pass the mission if you eject. -
I just followed the guide. It said if you use non beta wmr for steam vr app, then steam applies down sampling so it doesn't produce close to the 100% value of the resolution of your headset. I just kept everything at 100% with the beta version of wmr for steam vr app. Lots of people mentioned that here in this thread. I grew up with computers but didn't need to use them until I started writing code in college so I don't think that has anything to do with it. The wmr headsets are more of a pita to use compared to the Oculus because of the software. Hopefully one day we will have native dcs support for wmr.
-
You can only get to steam vr settings once you launch steam vr. If you go to dcs options and enable VR headset and then you close dcs and launch dcs again, it should load wmr app as well as steam vr. You will see a little black box on the bottom of your monitor saying steamvr. There is small menu icon on the steam vr box where you can click and select settings which opens steam vr settings. If you just launch steam vr on its own you will see the same little black box pop up once steam vr launches and you can get to the settings from there too. I just did what that guide said and everything has been working fine.

Have you ran through this? https://vr4dcs.com/2019/09/10/reverb-settings-for-dcs/
