I've noticed the same thing. MCG pro grip here on the desktop plate. I don't have any curves set in dcs or saved in vkb profile. Roll for me in the viper is very very slow. So I just apply rudder first then roll to the direction i want. Still slow and felt like I was pushing the stick too much whereas in the other aircraft I can get movement with a finger push on the stick. Getting off the ground I experienced slow pitch as well but not as bad as roll is.

That's the first thing I did after I launched it in VR and realized it was a bit fuzzy. I have a regular odyssey and this weekend I'm thinking of ordering a Reverb. But I also haven't used my Odyssey in like 3 months so I don't know if I forgot how it is visually in there or what. But for sure the f18 and f14 with the clean label mod looks a lot clearer. I also feel too close to the UFC in the viper seat so I need to mess around with the seat position.

Could be true but I think at one point I was going around 4-500 knots and the slowness I felt was just rolling and banking felt like I had to push my stick more over to get it to bank whereas other modules I own I barely touch my mcg grip and the jet immediately moves. I recalibrated in vkb dev config and reset my axis commands to see if I notice anything different tomorrow.

That's my plan too and this is after not using my original odyssey for months. Put it on today and had I been flying daily like I used to, I think would have been fine. Having taken a break and God knows what steam updates did to the resolution I was used to, if felt off today just not as clear as I remember. I do need to order a reverb soon I just don't want something else to come out that ends up being a better buy/option.

Yea I notice this too. I'm using a vkb stick though. The mcg pro desktop version. I never set any custom curves or saturation for any of my modules either. Did the first taxi and take off training today and I also was at 180-190 on the runway because I was used to so slightly barely moving my stick and taking off but in the viper I really have to pull on it to get it off the ground. Roll is the same, slow response that requires more input. I just use rudder at the same time as I roll to make it a bit easier.

It's seems a bit cramped compared to the f14 and f18. Dcs ipd setting is at 63.5 for me and has always been like this. Not sure if I have that check box checked or not. I'm using the original Odyssey and I do have some trouble reading the panel writing next to most of the switches. I do have to use vr zoom. I'm using same settings as other modules too, all high except shadows low and heat blur off, with a dcs pixel density of 1.5. Not sure what steam vr settings I'm using but I did notice after not flying for months that steam vr did update. I find the hornet much easier to read the labels without leaning in too much and the DDI's as well, I can read them in the hornet without too much lean in. Can't do that in the viper though because they are much smaller.

That's not sounding good. I thought the new revisions were fixed for now.

Probably because 90hz that's why I imagine it's flickering. As long as it isn't flickering in gameplay.

Most people here used an internal USB card connected directly to the power supply. Maybe it's a possibility for you to try. Startek makes good options for this.
-
Keep calling and get another ticket open. You are entitled to get a working product if still under warranty. Another thing to try is install a USB 3.0 card in your PC that has at least one bus dedicated power delivery to the USB 3.0 ports.

Hopefully they send a working third one to you now. I know a lot of people in this thread had the same issue. Seems like it was resolved with the new units.
-
I don't like hearing that because I figure these newer units resolved this issue. Maybe you got an old model by accident? I would report it to HP and they should send you another.

I always used a soft glasses cleaning cloth to wipe the ones in my Odyssey. I never used any liquids or chemicals on them.
-
Yea this has been the case with DCS for as long as I've known.

2080 is similar to a 1080ti and I would wager the super 2080 is probably a better buy than a 2080ti right now, if you absolutely must spend the money. We all know Nvidia will have something else in 3 months as the 2080ti has been out for some time now. But don't expect that new Ti variant to be cheap.

You will get it less than 10 days(assuming it's available to ship), if you did express shipping and won't have any issues. Plus he is always available on the forums if you require additional assistance.

Is there a reason people ordered from this site as compared to from the other thread here where Andre builds and ships them to you? Just genuinely curious.

You need more light in your room is what it sounds like. Sometimes that and you need to reset the view in wmr app by running the setup again and select seated mode.
-
What always fixed it for me was launching dcs through my headset. I have an odyssey and whenever I launched it from the desktop then put on the headset, I would get what you described. Other times if it happened I just needs to turn the light on in my room.

I have a powered hub from Anker that's also plugged into an outlet as well as a USB 3 port in my motherboard. I use it to plug in some of my flight gear but I also use a startek dual bus USB 3.0 card for the odyssey. I had to buy it when I owned the rift because the Cv1 had issues using all the ports for the sensors and also my flight pedals. If your usb 3.0 ports from the motherboard don't power the hmd to full bandwidth you will see issues later. It may work fine on some motherboards and it may or may not show issues for everyone. So it's a try it and see type of thing.

If you don't use the beta you will just have to adjust the SS slider in steam to match the resolution of the reverb. I believe those percentages in the slider are different for beta vs stable steam vr.
-
I think i will wait for the snap on lenses that I got from widmovr for the odyssey. Are these like thin glasses you insert in the headset or do they snap in?
-
Yea I would not trust that image as not everything is captured properly in a shot like that. It actually seems to look worse than what one may experience looking through it with their own eyes. This image basically makes it look like something someone with cataracts would see. I don't believe it looks like that natively.
-
I'd like to get their feedback as well. I'm coming from an original odyssey. I think for sure the resolution will be better but I'm more wondering about the comfort and field of view.
-
I feel like the odyssey is similar, but the fov might be bigger than the reverb. The lenses come very close to your eyes so shifting the headset a bit further does make the viewpoint clearer but the odyssey straps have the same issue. You can't get it loose enough so that it stays in that position yet also tight enough so that it doesn't move when you shift your head around.
