Since January 2024, the English manual has been in 'proof read' status. The latest statement from ED on this was that there is currently a lack of corresponding manual writers.

kotor633 Mig-29: Training Guide ( no discussion )
kotor633 replied to kotor633's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
Hi, I would like to ask you not to start discussions here. Please use other discussion threads for that. I would like to establish a collection/point of contact for Mig-29 videos for the (FF) Mig-29 module. -

Hi, So, what's next for the Gazelle? Things have (unfortunately!) been pretty quiet around this module lately. Which I personally regret, as it's one of my favorites. Polychop clearly has a lot on its plate with the Kiowa. And since PC only has one or two developers (I think I remember, but I could be wrong) who work on the modules, it's clear that one module will have to wait a little longer for fixes/updates/improvements. I think there's still a lot more that could be done with the Gazelle to give the module more depth. So, it would be a good move for PC to comment on this.

Yes, I find it a bit frustrating too... But one is a third-party provider, the other is ED. One does it this way, the other does it that way. We have to stick to ED's standard motto: be patient...

Pilot body, is that coming any time soon and...
kotor633 replied to Nptune's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark 3
Hi, zerO_crash wrote "that it's coming this year." Which, in DCS terms, means "be patient." -
Jester/Petrovich/Georg? Schau mr mal was da kommt.

Where is the JF-17 official manual? I can only find a chuck's guide.
kotor633 replied to Napillo's topic in JF-17 Thunder
And where did you get this information? Where does it say that, or is this just a guess on your part? Regarding the manual: I'll repeat myself, I think the manual topic seems to be the 'unloved child' in DCS. The ED doesn't provide any clear guidelines... Fortunately, we have Chuck and a provisional English translation. The module itself is excellent; there's nothing to complain about. -
I don't quite understand why they publish a roadmap for the F-16, F-18, and AH-64 with features they plan to implement. And then continually update this list as soon as a feature is implemented. But that doesn't exist for the Mi-24.
-
Yes, absolutely.
-
As far as has been announced, "the English translation has been finished and is currently being proofread." As of January 18, 2024 (https://forum.dcs.world/topic/340168-mi-24p-manual)
-
That's the impression you might get, even when it comes to the manual.

If it were possible, I'd knight you! It's like night and day. This mod is essential for the 'sense of reality,' in my opinion. It's just a shame the developer didn't manage to make it work...

This person isn't just asking about the R-77. He also wants the Mig-29A to be able to use this missile for game balance reasons. And he claims, without providing any evidence to back this up, that export variants of the Mig-29A can use the R-77. He also claims that the FF Mig-29A has no ability to BVR at the same level as any BLUE plane. This statement isn't true. Sure, for example, against an FA-18C/F-16C with Aim-120 it looks bad. Or against an F-14 with Aim-54. That makes it (very) difficult. But what about against an M2k, for example, or an FA-18/F-14/F-4 with Aim-7s? With the KA-50, there was an outcry that you could suddenly carry Iglas, and also regarding its MWR. Or with the F-35, there were/are voices complaining about the correct implementation, as the relevant sources are apparently under lock and key. And here with the Mig-29A, some kind of fantasy weaponry is supposed to be allowed due to game balance? That just doesn't add up. Or am I missing something here? Especially since ED claims to be a realistic simulation.

The AV8B module is reinstalled. The Darkened Cockpit v2 mod is installed. The new VMA-513 Day and Night skins are also installed. Now I need this awesome sound mod. Then I'm seriously considering picking up the Kerman campaign from GroundPounder while it's on sale.

Jupp, mit 936 Seiten in der 1ten Version. Hardcore! Und wieder mal erstklassige Arbeit von Chuck.

It's always amusing to see what people here can find annoying...and how they have to argue and discuss it for pages.
