Since January 18, 2024, the status is "the English translation was finished and is currently being proof read." But there is a recurring theme: still waiting for an English manual for the JF-17 (yes, that's not ED's job, but you can trigger the third-party providers to at least provide an English-language manual), the ARC-210 is still not mentioned in the A-10C manual.

I think that the statement "no one is forced to buy EA modules" is a quick one, but not thought through. What would be the alternative? Not using DCS? Waiting years until the module that really interests you is out of EA? Which would mean that ED would have to forego sales. And you would have to ask yourself how long ED could compensate for something like that... Simply buy another, finished module? That you might not be interested in or not at all (and thus spend money unnecessarily)? In the ED shop, if I haven't miscounted, 22 products (21 if you leave out the F-15E due to the RB/ED situation) are marked as EA. It's possible that my line of thinking isn't entirely correct, but I do think that if you choose ED you are somewhat forced to buy EA products. The business model is designed for this. Polychop was a positive exception with their Kiowa last year. And yes, EA doesn't necessarily mean that it's bad per se.

Exactly, it's just annoying! What I do is that when I see that this particular user Ronin_Gaijin has posted something in this thread, I don't go in there at all anymore.

This is all described exactly in the AV8B manual or Chuck's Guide. There are also plenty of tutorials on YouTube.

Okay, this CAT I/III topic is a bit more complicated than the text in the manual suggests. And Furiz's contribution is already heading in the right direction. And the user Lord Vader said "some items may still require further corrections. Stay tuned." So I hope that this topic will be described in more detail in the manual in the (near) future. And thank you for your feedback.

A comment from me: I would be very interested, but their website is only available in Polish. An English version would be very helpful.

Maybe I didn't express myself clearly enough. If you attach rockets, bombs or AG missiles to one of the stores and then start the F-16C cold and dark, the CAT switch is preset to CAT III. If, on the other hand, I only attach external fuel tanks, regardless of whether they are on the wing or center, the switch is set to CAT I. The manual says something different: To continue this consistently, during a cold and dark start, even if only 1 fuel tank (i.e. no additional armament) was attached, shouldn't the switch already be preset to CAT III?

Hi, I'm currently enjoying the F-16C with the updated manual. I noticed the following in the game: You start a mission with the F-16C, cold and dark, via the mission editor. You attach external tanks to the F-16C and then start the mission. You notice that the STORES CONFIG switch is set to CAT I. The same thing all over again, but you attach bombs instead of external tanks and then you start the mission with the switch set to CAT III. Is this intentional or unintentional on ED's part? Actually, it doesn't make much sense, does it?

Gazelle & die Kiowa machen rießigen Spaß, keine Frage. Aber ich persönlich würde aber jedem unsere 2 Mi's empfehlen. An die kommt kein anderes Modul ran.
