  1. I'm the script yoda for BSD. Please consider our squadron to be a signatory to this as well.
  2. Change the icon style to Russian. Much easier to deal with and you get to see the heading reflected as well.
  3. You can absolutely do this if you are creating the objects via scripting. It really is very simple. Another way is to create a static template, and manually edit it, modifying the x/y of the objects. As I've posted before, you can also make the template portable to another map this way. The .stm file is just text.
  4. Clearing shader cache means deleting the contents of saved games\fxo and metashaders2. DCS will take a loooong time to load as it rebuilds them with your new settings.
  5. Last thing I would do is go all grammar nazzy on someone trying to help me.
  6. Thanks man, I'm going that route.
  7. Thanks, same version here. I'm reinstalling all the openxr components. I have a newer version than you do now. I'll keep hackin on it.
  8. I've done that several times, and updated it also to the 0.6.3 version. Also done a skatezilla repair and clean and regenerated fxo and metashaders in between. It works, but the performance is bad compared to pre-DCS update. Frames are in the 20's and it's very stuttery. This is with much lower settings than I used to run with. Running out of things to try.
  9. I have the same issue. Was all excited and then I was like WTF?
  10. The KOMs appear to have to directly hit a vehicle to damage it. I agree the FP2's are the best. According to wiki, the FP's are the latest technology, have a larger warhead, more range, and better accuracy. Splash damage is there, but what's missing is the fragmentation. Until that is modeled in, the best S-8 rocket variant we've got is the FP2. From what I hear about the S-5, if you shot and hit a person with one, they'd be mad at you if they somehow found out about it. S-24's or S-13's on the other hand - those are bad ass.
  11. I owed you guys this. Version 9 example miz uploaded to github. https://github.com/Fargo007/TROOPS-IN-CONTACT
  12. I think there's 'some' truth to the cockpit issue, but there's also no small amount of hyperbole. NVG's are 100% legal in the USA and have been since they were invented. So are thermals, and both are used here a LOT for hunting. This of course leads to some 'experimentation.' I'm pretty sure the dashboard and interior of my Nissan pickup truck was also not optimized for night vision, however I was able to drive it on a dark country road with everything shut off wearing a friend's pvs-14 after some adjustments to fit it up to me. What was horrifyingly scary though, is being the passenger in a blacked out vehicle like this with someone else driving. Looking at youtube, this is something that is apparently attempted a lot. Neither of these are mine.
  13. Glad to hear it, now get out there and support those guys on the ground!
  14. Open up the dcs.log and review it. Whatever is failing will stick out there. For most people, it's the unit names of the statics.
  15. HAHAHAHAHA, well played Sir.
  16. This is working really well with the AH-64. https://github.com/Fargo007/TROOPS-IN-CONTACT

  17. Thank you Neal. Version 9 is on Github now. Several things tuned up. Main new feature is that sounds and messages will only be heard/seen by those AC in the TIC grid to keep the signal to noise ratio down for other aircraft. This is perfect for the AH-64, and we use it a lot in our squadron. Enjoy!
  18. The accuracy of these munitions is also way overportrayed. That said, you can't deal with units that have these AT9/Svir type ATGMS from a hover if you are inside 5km. This includes all IFV's, and MBT's from the T-72 and up. You're a sitting duck. Either extend and make longer hover shots, or be shooting on the move.
  19. The scuds actually launch, and will hit in the expected accuracy radius now. They still don't reload the right way. The missile just appears vertically and immediately launches. But this is an improvement nonetheless.
  20. They did fix the scud launchers I see.
  21. Did that get released with the 64? I can't find it if so.
  22. Good find, thank you!
  23. So where I'm at now (having reinstalled everything) is I can make DCS start in VR with --force_enable_VR, but it doesn't show in the headset. And also doesn't track. Thanks for helping. This was awesome.
  24. After rebooting, I'm now starting only in 2d mode. Where is openvr.dll located? I don't see it in either open-composite-dcs-main.zip or open-composite-acc-v0.6.2.zip. Thank you. I had this running and loved it. Want it back.
