@Slippa I just moved all mods to a seperate folder ie "OFF" or something as such and then tried the ones I really wanted to keep by adding them one by one starting with the Oh-6. Then I tried different Maps. For me as stated the Oh-6 works fine on the Marianas map but continues to stutter on the caucasus map. I don't fly on any other enough so I couldn't tell you. Hopefully there will be more insight as there are some great free mods out there. -

Will try that now @tobi. Thanks again for the speedy reply and awesome mod! Update: Without removing any scripts the stutters only seem to affect the Caucasus map for me. Marianas map runs smooth. Gremlins... -

Hi guys, sorry to possibly be the bearer of bad news but it's been reported in another thread that a few mods including the Oh-6 might be contributing to stuttering issues. I for one am plagued with them as of the latest update. I have removed it and tested the huey in which I'd also been experiencing the microstutters which seemed to fix the issue. Honestly, I fly nothing in DCS as consistently as the Oh-6 (IMHO the best mod out!) and would love to know if anyone has any ideas? Thanks in advance. -

"Deadly Encounter" remake! If you haven't seen the flying scenes in this movie you're missing out. Full movie is available on YouTube. -

If you know you know....Close but not quite on the skin! All credit goes to @Leviathan0815 it's just his NASA skin tweaked. -

@Blooddawn1942 cgjimeneza has made one https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3337097/ save the checklist as a png and add it to the OH-6A folder (you need to create it) in your Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Kneeboard\OH-6A\ -

Livery request please. Yes i know it's an S-61T Some interesting reading. We already have a few nice liveries. https://www.twz.com/27378/you-can-buy-the-state-departments-totally-upgraded-s-61t-helicopters-that-it-barely-used

Please don't give up on this, I remember it from Freefalcon days and thought it had so much potential. I recently had a sit down with an ex SAAF Mirage pilot and the accounts of what went on were amazing. I still have a soft spot for the chopper crews as they've published more (a rarity). All in all it would be a fantastic addition!

[Request] Can't find a livery for the B-52 using a Vietnam colour scheme
cochise replied to Rudel_chw's topic in AI Aircraft
Some good resources https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/de/files/3319472/ This is probably the closest -
I get the same issue with the mirrors off and on in all maps during periods of dusk or dawn with heavier weather present. Hard when doing a Case III, in the meantime I've resorted to closing one of my eyes!

PSA: F-14 Performance/FM Development Status + Guided Discussion

Point taken. I re-watched the video, they were quite high and out of ground effect when using the DLC -
PSA: F-14 Performance/FM Development Status + Guided Discussion
cochise replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Great discussion guys, it's been a pleasure reading the last few pages! With regards to the videos as a layman it makes sense that DLC being used more for a shore landing as ground effect is more pronounced for a longer period of time. What I took away the most from the video of Meagan was how small her throttle corrections were. -
Supercarrier and all ship water wake/wave adjustments.

@Boosterdog Yes there is a wake but it's extremely small and indistinguishable when you're trying to use it for a lineup. VR makes it even trickier to spot. -

The 5:55 mark says it all! Looking forward to this! -
10 cent Food for thought... Infantry and ground ops even with Combined Arms at current levels would pose massive setbacks with a scenario like Vietnam. I'd love to see this scenario come around but maybe the scale is a little large. Maybe, setting our sights on something with a smaller map like the specific operation "Lam Son 719" as an example. Lots of accounts of CAS, FAC, bombing and transport for fixed wing and endless accounts of the massive helicopter operations. Even the ground aspect of mechanized vehicles and Air defense deployment for both sides could gel loosely with current models and aircraft. I do think that something like this would fit the current DCS build more than the massive scale of an all out Vietnam war that lasted so long with so many different aircraft participating. Not to mention the size of the country/countries to be mapped. Concentrating on a specific operation or maybe just a smaller AO may be a more realistic expectation. However, I am also aware that even the specific operation above poses problems as you can't have a navy flying off of a ship without an ocean! Again, just my thoughts on trying to "make it work". I would love to be proved WRONG.

Heatblur Update - Supersize Me & Public Roadmap
cochise replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
@N0430BMUnfortunately HB don't and won't have access to the F-14D's manuals so it won't happen at this time. The US government isn't going to release a bunch of info that could potentially allow a certain operator to upgrade their aged F-14A's. I'd love to see it too but it's not a realistic desire at this stage. -
Again, it's a sim and a constant WIP. @Joni I wouldn't let this deter you from purchasing a module, especially one with such a fantastic amount of detail, time and PFM put into it. If you can wrap your head around flying AOA, stay on speed and fly the ball (whatever it's referenced to as @Victory205 has pointed out) on centerline down to the deck you're probably going to trap. The overlay calibration is a small price of "unrealism" to pay for an otherwise fantastic and unparalleled experience.

Works great now for me! Thanks again for revisiting this.
-
I'd love to see this too. From what I gather the waves are the wake from the ship moving through the water but what's missing is the ships' engine wake.

I would remove any mods for the Tomcat and then do a clean install as suggested above. I have found the airplane has always improved with updates, just with different aspects ie weapons, handling...etc, it's usually my flying skills that had deteriorated. Also try to take into account that different loadouts, weights and atmospheric conditions affect how the plane responds. Are you experiencing the same "poor performance" with a lighter aircraft in coordinated flight?
