Yeah there hasn't been much content released and the guys that have it normally have more out by now. I guess they must have to get the OK to release anything?

Modern avionics and navigation systems are nice....but this is like a Supercharged Corvette versus a Toyota Supra. Raw power that will bite you in the ass if you don't have the skills to manage it. And the Tomcat's radar ability is excellent even by todays standards. I think its going to be a blast.

Yeah, they are not going to drop it into the release version and find out it screws everything up. It'll go to Beta first, then to release a couple weeks later if all goes well.

If you go to the options menu on the main screen of DCS, the little gear at the top....there is a tab called misc and under that tab is a setting to synchronize the game setting to the controller at mission start. That needs to be checked. The Warthog throttle and the A-10C sim were literally made to work together, and there should be very little you have to change to get it to work. I use the default setup except for a few VR specific things I have added. You are lifting the throttles back over the hump and clear into the OFF position, and not just moving them to minimum throttle setting, right? If your bindings are somehow screwed up, I think you can just delete the saved games folder and let the game reload them.

Exit HUD BIT when complete MFCDS to ON Load DTS Cartridge Set MFCDS IFCC to ON Anti-Skid to ON / Nose Wheel Steering to ON CMSP to Standby / CMSP Systems to ON After INS is Aligned (4 min.) Select NAV on CDU Page Select EGI Mode EAC to ARMED / Check Switch Set CDU Steer Point to Flight Plan Ejection Seat ARMED Check Canopy Closed and Locked Check Caution Panel Start AGM-65 Alignment as required

Remember how Wags did some basic tutorial vids on startup and such before the Hornet release? Sure would be nice to see those for the Tomcat. But maybe release is still quite a ways off?

No, if I remember right on the Shark there used to be a mode that made flying easier but didn't limit you to "game" settings. It was specific to the Ka50. It just made the helo easier to fly. They must have done away with it at some point. I hadn't been in the Shark for ages.

Am I mistaken or didn't there used to be an "easier" flight mode available in Black Shark where you still got sim level use of the instruments and weapons but the helo was simpler to fly?? Sure would be nice to have it back!!!!!!

Kaltokri, that is what was causing my problem, because I have always used the same generic VA profile for all the aircraft. Not now lol.

Yes, I discovered the hard way that the key commands for changing pages are different on the Shark from everything else. Grrrr. Nice one, ED. Fixed now, thanks!

I am using Kneeboard Builder and have updated it to the latest version. I use it to make startup checklists as I fly in VR. I have created kneeboards for several other of my aircraft but I CANNOT get it to work in the Ka-50! On my other aircraft when I call up the kneeboard I get some default charts and can page through them to my checklist. On the Ka-50, I get one map page and cannot page through it to anything else. In the kneeboard files in the saved game directory, the information is there but its not coming up in the cockpit. Any ideas?

I think perhaps that the Tomcat was not nearly as ready for primetime as we assumed from ED opening it up for pre-order, and from the inferences made by the developer about a possibility of a pre-Christmas release. Hopefully I am wrong and it comes out soon, but I won't expect it.

I agree, the A-10 needs some love!! At least some updates to textures and sounds!!

I think if you read between the lines (even though there is only one!) this means "yeah, we are not really close yet to being where we need to be to release this." So.....you probably better prepare for a wait until the tulips are blooming.

I cannot get the F9 Ship View to work. I have cleared and re-assigned in options and I am not showing a conflict, but it will not work?

Snake Eyes require a pretty specific delivery method.....500 knots at 500 feet altitude from a pretty much level delivery....using that method I have found them to be pretty accurate.

So I am out of room on the SSDD I have my DCS install on. I would like to add another SSDD to my computer and move DCS to it. What do I have to do to do this? Can I just copy and paste the entire folder and update the path on the launch icons or is it more complicated than that?

Nope, course select is not an autopilot mode, its for helping with lineup on the carrier or runway.

1. How do you know what fuzes to set on bombs? Mechanical, Electrical, Nose, Tail....since they seem to be all "off" by default? 2. Is there a way to launch rockets other than one or all? Carrying loads of Zuni's I cant find any in between settings....just single and salvo.
