  1. The rocket and warheads are about 107 lb. each, so x 4 + launcher should put a pod of them at about 500 lbs. They are going to be draggier than a Mk82, but about the same weight. I wonder if the ingame drag coefficient is bugged though.
  2. I added another SSD for DCS. You can just copy the folder over and change the target on your shortcut and you're good to go.
  3. Looks like this will be the year that VR takes at least a half step forward. Hopefully development of VR technology will start to pick up steam. ;-)
  4. I used it for zoom before I went to VR, now its my wheel brakes.
  5. I have the same issue, let me know what you find out! MD
  6. No, but I took the standard spring and cut off half a coil at a time until I got it where I want it. Still centers but requires less force to move. It still takes a bit more force than I would like, but if I remove any more coils it won't center, and this is just the physics of having that damn heavy grip up there.
  7. I think the Rift S is going to be good for entry level VR, and a minor update for flight simmers. Hopefully the Reverb or someone else raises the bar a whole notch. My real hope is that 5 years from now someone will put on a Rift and go "People used to FLY with this??!!!"
  8. Good idea. I just plugged my monitor into the DVI port with an HDMI adapter. We'll see how that works out.
  9. I for one am looking forward to seeing some reviews of how well DCS performs with the Reverb. I am hoping they have hit the sweet spot where we get some improved resolution while still being able to run it on a moderately high end system. MD
  10. Looking for some advice from someone a little more computer savvy than me...... I have a 1080Ti card with two HDMI ports on it. My Rift is plugged into one, and my screen into the other. This usually works ok, but sometimes I get a blank screen on the rift.....when this happens the Oculus software shows the headset is connected OK, and the VR output is showing on the desktop monitor, but I get nothing in the Rift headset. The fix for this is to swap the plugs in the HDMI ports. That always cures the problem, but having to do this is a moderate inconvienence. I am not sure why this happens, but does anyone have any ideas on how to maybe cure it? Thanks!
  11. Nose strut extend is not nose wheel steering. The nose strut extend and retract is for connecting the launch bar on the catapult. Nose wheel steering is a different button, on the Warthog stick it is the "pinkie" button. If you don't have the Warthog you'll have to map it to something else. And there is a indicator light on the left glareshield to tell you if its engaged. MD
  12. I've only been messing with the Tomcat for a bit, but have found a couple of issues already. I can assign the Pilot position (keyboard 1) to a joystick button, but if I am in the RIO pit (keyboard 2) it will not take me to the pilot. I have to use the actual keyboard. Going to the RIO pit works fine, just not going back to the pilot pit. Similarly, in the pilot pit I can bind a the Jester command (A) and it works fine, but if I am in the RIO pit, nothing....I have to use the keyboard "A". Weird. Also, some of the indicators such as the nosewheel steering light could certainly be easier to see.
  13. Is there any indication in the cockpit if DLC is toggled on or off?
  14. Arrghh. I tried everything but that. Thanks!
  15. So its cool that head movements in VR will move the radial selector "needle" around the menu, but I can't seem to find the key to actually make the selection. A mouse click doesn't do it. Am I missing a key bind or ???
  16. Me too! No, not that me too, the desktop crash me too!
  17. Its the F-16!!!!!!!
  18. Sig's quality control has gone to crap. I would have to give that nod to Heckler & Koch these days.
  19. I am becoming confused about some of the switchology in the Hornet. Sensor select down is used to select a target for IFF interrogation, but also to designate the active display?
  20. Apparently a day or two ago Steam was showing a release date of Feb. 27, that has now been changed to Winter 2019. So I am guessing Feb. 27th was a target date that is going to be missed. Would not have been normal for it to come out on Steam that soon when its not even out on the Open Beta yet, but a good indication they were shooting for this month.
  21. I am guessing Jester doesn't change things unless you tell him too through the interface. Just a guess though.
  22. From the looks of it, Jester plays a LOT of Space Invaders!! LOL
  23. Valid point, I think. If its good enough for press copies, it should be good enough for Early Access buyers.
  24. I had no idea those were in there! Thanks!
