  1. DCS > options > gameplay > spotting dots - try 2 pixel version for 2k. Try right click on the title bar.

  5. I never use F2 since using SC but you can't trust the crew fully yet. They can direct you into collisions with static objects. They will sometimes not align you well with the cat. You'll know it when the hold-back bar does not hold you. You can't reset the crew in this case - mission over. Other times you will be connected ok and they'll magically correct the wrong angle or placement. Collisions are not planned for the crew. Maybe they'll try to avoid the aircraft in the future. It'd be way more game breaking when you'd have to end the mission due to the deck crew accident. Yes, that's not the full procedure. It's simplified to reduce cost and dev time and to speed up a bit the game play.

  7. It's just a generic fabric cover over the cables and electronics - it doesn't have to be symmetrical. Unfortunately these are only some minor details.   10. OK, sorry for confusion, I have just checked quick air start in M2 and had no troubles either. 30k at half throttle easily keeping 300KIAS in turns. I must have experienced the "double weight after flight delayed" bug before. It was ATLS from the taxi checklist.
  11. Oh, I don't think it's the shadows problem. I'd check without DLAA/DLSS or fog.
  12. 200* assets is the biggest problem but 250 will make it great? I don't think so. If you lack imagination you'll never be happy and DCS will always lack something you think is most necessary. Of course everyone think totally different set of assets is more important. Australia is like NTTR, just on antipodes. You can actually fly the most detailed and realistic scenarios there contrary to the usual fiction you find in missions. And it will come with some own assets, at least E-7 we know of. *just random example numbers

  14. DCS can take any resolution and aspect ratio. FoV/zoom is adjustable.

  17. It isn't? Did you turn it on? Does it look different than here?: Or maybe you mean the HMD? You can turn it off.
  18. About 30k CAP - fully loaded and tanked Tomcat can't handle it without AB - which defeats the purpose. On MIL you can probably get to speed and finally climb 30k but you'll quickly drop speed and drop alt on first turn. I suggest either 25k for full load or 30k only for lighter loads. One of the check lists contains ITLS ATLS (both in message and VO) - either it should be ICLS or I'm going to learn something new. So i skipped M#5 for now, #6 went fine (just not able to park correctly, they direct you into the static vehicle), what about #7 state atm?
  19. Lots of mods, 0 page file, if you ask for troubles you eventually get them.
  20. Long Range Laser Lights (change color and blink frequency or are solid depending on the horizontal angle) are visible for me around 5-6nm. Make sure it's CVN-71, 72, 73 or 75 and in recovery mode (either AI landing or you have to contact inbound). They don't work on the Stennis. As always best to post a short track. For me otoh the ball is very strong light strobe and sometimes the light wands glint with strong reflections too.
  21. If you only have guns and the enemy runs away jinking and avoiding clear shot there is no way to reliably get a hit, unless you're faster and get really close.
  22. And that's another bug (LSO) that should wave off the AI and not allow it to land.

  24. Yes, given the unrealistic scenario you put them against - already close in, first pass restrictions, guns only. Not one time MiG wins. Normally it'd be killed or deterred in BVR. That does not mean the AI does not need improvements though.
