Pixelated shimmering bands in clouds.
draconus replied to VampireNZ's topic in Weather System Bugs & Problems
Yep, since the other thread was tagged "fixed internally" we can expect some fix. -
I agree with this but please show me where I was demanding anything or talk down on the devs? I'm not even that much interested in the topic, I don't ask for any timeframes and I really appreciate the HB's job done on the Tomcat so far, but am not very happy either. Your post sounded like they are some superheroes working for free to please the customers in their free time so I replied and got excrements poured on me in return. I always thought highly of you so I'll assume you twisted my words and totally miss my point on purpose. We have very different opinions on F-14 development obviously. There's nothing wrong with "I don't care about their business" take - that's just one healthy relationship. I do customer stuff - I pay, play, report, help others - while they do their dev's stuff. Do they get paid for it or not is not of my interest. They are not my friends. When they advertise something for the product and then add to it - cool, I'm fine with that, I appreciate, thanks, but what they offered originally is completely irrelevant from this point, ex. I wait for the 3rd campaign (F-14A in PG) because they announced they'll do one, even if they advertised and delivered 2 before, and I will wait for the early A the same way. You advise me to support them with another buy like it somehow would finanse the work on finishing the Tomcat? Then I would come out as another number for the bought Phantoms and will be assumed as someone who likes F-4, so they will prioritise F-4 work even more. And for what? To find out that when I happen to find something wrong with F-4 I will have yet again more things to wait for from HB devs? And if I happen to say a word about waiting for a fix I'll once again will hear that they fix it for free and I better buy EF to finanse that work? Get a grip yourself. I'm not going into that circle. And I don't see how the short patch logs make for any winning when the current bugs list only grows. So, I'm sorry that I don't think of them as superheroes. They may have the right to make money and I have the right to express what I think of it, without offending anyone in the process.

Stennis? That means no deck crew for now, pity.

So they decided to do more, cool, but if they said so, please do so. No one will beg for it now just because it wasn't planned for in the beginning. Is it really free? Maybe just the AI unit if someone plays DCS as a free to play game. For all others - no. Does HB gets any money for this? I don't know, I don't want to know and frankly I don't care. I just took their word for it, that they'll do it. We know they are responsible for finishing features and bug fixing the Tomcat but last year's patch logs were much shorter. So yes, it's perfectly normal for customers to be concerned, especially when they see HB showing new projects and it has nothing to do with the lack of appreciation. Or if they really ask for that appreciation there's nothing wrong to remind we do appreciate it but we already paid money, we did the beta testing for free, the product is still in the store and finishing it is part of their business too.

Additional Training Missions for the F-15E
draconus replied to Rudel_chw's topic in Missions and Campaigns
Wrong thread? -
I try to compile this newsletter and always get error: expected "ED roadmap" in line: #3 Absolutely amazing that you finally make F-15C full fidelity Thanks, it was long awaited since LOMAC, then FC3. F-35 - jaw dropping, just wow... but then no more comment. Too much backlash you have already. Thanks for the work on the gear. Now let the patch out, at least for campaigns fixes.
-
It's probably comfortable way to cop out of the less popular features to keep the scope in check, thus lowering the cost of development. There, I've said it. My opinion - if the aircraft can do it without software or hardware changes - make it possible in DCS. Deal breaker? No.
-
"As this is based on the US F-15C, it solely carries air-to-air weapons."
-
I wasn't skilled enough to finish the 2nd mission at the time Now I can't find any convertion and frankly don't feel like running LOMAC again just for that. As good as some campaigns were for the FC3 Eagle I'm hoping for more new ones.
-
Thank you very much! Long awaited! My funny boring story: Started with LOMAC with F-15C. Went to DCS for FC3 F-15C. Then I wanted to upgrade to full fidelity but my second best was F-14 at the time, so I went with Tomcat. Then F-15E (not a C but still the Eagle) became a thing so of course I took it. After these 2 I really started to like A2G and now this?! They surely know how to sell aircraft since I always preferred to stay with just one module

It's not but why would you accept this omission from full fidelity modeling? You want them to model only your favorite features?

Wondering if there be an f-14D in the near future.
