I'm really surprised by the announcement of FC2024. For a long time ED was cooking something called MAC (separate game) behind the scenes while openly declaring that no more FC3 level aircraft are planned in DCS. And now we get this and I'm clueless what they're trying to achieve. Let's look at the poll I made some time ago: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/330282-why-do-you-fly-fc3/#comments Maybe ED has their own data but it's clear most DCS players just want to fly the aircraft from the pack, because we don't have FF ones, not because they're cheap or easy to play. Many are even turned off because of the lack of clickable cockpit and being forced to use keybinds - opposite of easy controls. Quo vadis DCS? Who's the customer of the FC2024 aircraft?

Either of you support the developer, just different amount in different time: with 30% discount on preorder - right now, with 20% discount on EA - at release, and full price - after EA period, years later. Some will wait for a sale 1-2 years from release with some additional discount.

As IRL pilots confirm, there are always some good and bad airframes in the squad, even of the same production series. Ex. one can stay in 95% RPM while others struggle on MIL to keep the same speed or the control responsivness is different...

Still having problems after recent 10th April update? I'd suggest to remove the mods first, then try to repair/clean DCS and finally check antivirus software for blocked/quarantined game files.

They have a choice but it doesn't make sense to break a schedule now. The module has to come with a patch to add it to DCS, together with new functionality, AI, weapons and textures/models in coremods, database files and whatnot to function properly. HB isn't even ready since they're still tweaking it. After all is ready and sent, ED has to test it on their dev version. If all is fine we can get the patch.

Yeah, you dream big but they don't even have a team able to be dedicated to such a task - years of work. I propose small step ahead instead, just a basic start, basic functions, and then move on to the better and more detailed simulation, soldier, terrain and assets when tech and resources allow.

Things I'd try: new nvidia driver repair/clean DCS delete fxo and metasheders folders from \saved games\DCS\

They'll get to all missing things eventually but these are low priority.

These are independent of module fidelity. The FC3 stays as is for now since it fulfills its role in DCS for years and no split is required unless all of the aircraft get their FF modules. Only about 10% use FC3 for other reasons.

Good, but do you also understand what it means when it tells you "suspicious" or "potentially dangerous"? False positive is a real thing because AV software is just an app, a tool - make sure you understand how it works.

Yes Mirros need a rework - not only resolution but how they reflect vs view angles & zoom and don't have stereography in VR. Helmet view should be restricted by the helmet edges and the mask on the nose. I'd appreciate more type of "terrorists", civilians and troops with animations able to escape away from fire/detonations, enter/exit buildings and vehicles or get onto some objects and roofs. It's already unrealistically fast.

It is what it is. Different people use it for different purposes. I personally like it. You can and should test it for 2 weeks for free.

Can you share the mission? We could test.

Don't expect anything sooner than 22nd May at current updates schedule.
