  1. Jep! Considered getting them when I was in the VERY early stages of making a home pit. Glad I didn't and went the DIY route :)
  2. Basically it's the same as this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yaw_string
  3. This. Oh so much. Wanted to write a similar story about what you call the "eye box", but didn't bother.
  4. Jep they're JOYLOC's. Damn expensive pieces of kit though..
  5. Did you actually read his post? If you have.. You might have read he gave you a place where you could start looking. Don't you find it interesting why this knowledge isn't "public knowledge"?
  6. Do you understand how a collimated sight works?
  7. If you change the location of the height of the HUD stuff.. Your velocity vector will be off.. Your aiming pipper will be off...(etc..) (off as in not where they are supposed to be)
  8. Re-read Eddie's post.
  9. Don't forget the A-10 has a (very, relatively speaking) small HUD when you compare it to for example an F-15E (48" flatscreen size :shocking: ). So you might have to move around in flight to see all the HUD indication. Would hazard a bet it's the same in real life.
  10. Maybe this will inspire you: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1300889&postcount=1
  11. What kind of glue did you use?
  12. Superb! That Slew mod -.... How what where how much? :P
  13. Huh????? NEVER heard any of that at all... I use my WH for ALL my flying. From helo's to WW-I aircraft to the 737. It's a great HOTAS. Sure.
  14. Explosive cartridge to (re)load/unjam the guns.
  15. Plus if you have a "difficult" approach into an attack position (say a very narrow corridor) you don't have to "re-invent" the route :)
  16. Here's some stuff for you to read, there may be more if you search for it: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=126543 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=126346 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=123501
  17. Seriously... This subject... again??
  18. That's me looking like this: litteraly... that is.. Earlier this week I was looking at pictures of the MiG and I was actually drooling....:music_whistling:
  19. YES!!! You've got no idea how much I'm drooling for the Mig! I'm going to be ALL over it.
  20. Thanks a lot guys :) Yes this lever pulls out as is. What you describe can be achieved by the same principle as mine but a little bit different: Basically you need two shafts which fit into eachother perfectly. Interesting sorting this stuff out :D OT: Panel fitted and working. Except the top locking switch isn't working for some reason... As it's a PITA to remove it from the cockpit (wired into the leo bodnar behind the " AHCP-XL") I'll lay it to rest for the day and sort it out at a later date.. The LED's are wired, all that's needed is to pull an ethernet cable from the gear panel to the phidgets board. Why do you ask? The gear panel is on the LEFT of the cockpit and the phidgets is on the RIGHT of the cockpit. So as to not route three million wires through the cockpit I thought it would make more sense to pull ONE cable through. Looking through various cables the RJ45 cable made sense (I love planning ahead!) as it has 8 "cables". So back when I was building the complete cockpit I installed an RJ45 breakout board into the phidgets compartment, and now installed an RJ45 breakout board in the gear panel. All it needs now is a cable in between and it should work :)
  21. hehehe ;) Well the rest of the time I'm very busy enjoying the rest of my cockpit :pilotfly::joystick:
  22. UPDATE TIME!!! :D Having had TomDK's landing gear handle in my "cockpit-to-do-box" for a long time, I thought it would be a good time to utilize it. And thus the following was created: Added switches: Completed gear handle module: And the front panel with other buttons/switches/LED's:
  23. Absolutely fantastic!!! Loved every single minute of it!! :D
  24. Excellent!! Thanks!! :pilotfly:
