  1. There some amazing campaigns by Reflected, but not dynamic. Highly recommend those, and in the new Normandy map they have been updated, so are like new campaigns. But I suppose you already know about those? We need dynamic campaigns for DCS, or convince Patrick Wilson to switch to DCS
  2. Since the new website is up I don't show on the stats anymore I/JG7_moto, any ideas why is this happening? I did fly yesterday, I did get one kill, but my name is not on the stats.
  3. Reprojection is very taxiing on the systems, I get the same with an AMD 7800X3D and a 4090, also MT version, DFR helps, have you tried it?
  4. Its a great server, hope we get more people joining.

    A8 to F8

A8 is old agreed, but totally worth the price, you get a digital accurate representation of this plane like no other game or sim has ever done it. We all want the version with more power, but still what we have is correctly modeled.. I think if we get an update , it would be very popular.
  6. In general looks great, water jacket hit, but the white smoke trail sometimes looks a bit weird like the speed of the plane does not relate to how the smoke looks, looks like train puffs of white smoke, Here is an example of a Dora hit IRL, the hit looks very similar to what we have in DCS, but the rest of the smoke, the white trail comming of the cowling in DCS looks diferent, like if the plane was going a lot slower, puffs of smoke coming out.
  7. The problem are not the planes, they are Historically matched up, problem are the maps, if we would have had a Germany map then all of this will be Historical (except Il16 and maybe if you want to be a purist adding boost to the 190A8). I am all about making it more realistic historically, a G6 is needed for Normandy and Channel map, which by the way are amazing.
  8. Its with WWII fighter doing dogfights and have planes moving around in front of you , they get blutty. For sightseeing or ground attack works great.
  9. G6 for sure! Me 262 meeeh , lots more options before that one IMHO.
  10. By a lot, unplayable missions before are playable almost totally smoothly, its a big improvement.
  11. Yes pretty tricked out with 50 more HP, composite prop, and STOL kit.
  12. Spitfire landing, with just a bit of power ON. Sorry no sound, Varjo recording does not record sound.
  13. I made this video about smooth landings, power is your friend, speed needs to be spot ON Of course after you film all of your landings some have to be good ones, which are the ones I show here, all of this are power ON landings, coming slow adding power to arrest the sink rate, so no bounce. Dunkirk airport in Channel map, is a short one, no floating or bouncing on that one allowed, good place to practice.
  14. Spitfire lands slow, much slower than the other warbirds, come slow, at the right speed and and you wont bounce. Bouncing on landings means too much speed usually.
  15. Of all the planes in IL2 , I liked the Spitfire the best, still IL2 style, which to me seemed unrealistic, like all the rest of their planes. DCS Spitfire feels like flying a real plane (Like all DCS warbirds) for the Spitfire and Mosquito you need a good joystick with extensions to enjoy its realism. If you dont have extensions then add curves. There is no comparisson between any of the planes in IL2 to the ones in DCS IMHO. I am ruined now and just can fly IL2 anymore.
  16. I bought Normandy 2 own Channel and N1. Found Paris, but never got the option to download, is this how it worked for everyone? Automatically updated? How can I confirm I have N2?
  17. Upgraded from an i9 10900K to an AMD 7800X3D processor. Huge increase in performance, very smooth game play. So I decided to test Motion Smoothing, no go, even with this processor , not smooth, choppy, and artifacts. No VSYNC Getting smooth gameplay even with close to 40 planes, smoke, and a big dogfight down low, now and then there is a small stutter, still have not overclocked the 7800 and still more tweaking to do, Varjo Motion Smoothing still broken for DCS, but with this processor not needed.
  18. Yesterday updated to a new Mbo and the AMD7800X3D, previous processor was an Intel i 9 10900K overclocked at 5.0. Video card is a 4090 VR Varjo Aero Huge FPS and smoothness increase, the AMD 7800X3D is a monster! so far no overclocking, just standard clock speeds. Wanted to use AMD Master to overclock but for some reason the program does not run in my PC. Any other recommended software for overclocking AMD processors
  19. Need some help here, I updated to a new Mbo and a AMD 7800X3D processor, but now I cannot login to varjo Base Any ideas? I uninstalled Varjo Base, re installed , nothing! null
  20. Great! Looking forward to this map, this is going to increase popularity of DCS WWII and attract lots of new pilots. I think the price is totally fair by the way.
  21. Once Normandy 2 is released expect a lot of new people joining WWII DCS, we can already see it on the forums in DCS lots of new to warbirds pilots and in other games forums lots of people wanting to get into WWII DCS when they see this new map. When I see complaints about DCS WWII in other forums its mostly about the plane set, what I would say what makes it a problem in that respect is the map set, not the plane set, if we had a map of Germany no one would say is not a historical. Still DCS WII they way we have it right now, is way better than any other product out there, and its just getting better.

    Turbulence

This video is an example of light turbulence, just a bit of a bumpy ride, very common on a flight, with turbulence at max in DCS, we don't get this kind of ride, feels smoother. If proper turbulence has a CPU high demand, then maybe is better how we have it then. As you see it is not a severe storm, just normal bumps during flight.

    Turbulence

I edited a mission and increased turbulence to a maximum, in flight felt smooth only a minor turbulence feel now and then near the ground. It would be great to have turbulence when entering clouds, and some bumps now and then. What don't you like about the wake turbulence? I only fly the warbirds in DCS and wake turbulence on those feels very similar to what I experience in real life while doing dogfight simulation in the CJ6 Nanchang, military trainer I fly.
  24. Thanks, just pre ordered it.
  25. Ok, I want one then How do I get on the waiting list?
