I have CTD constantly using VR in MP...still not fixed. It seems if the MP mission has under around 5 players [not sure of that number] then the mission will not CTD.

Using TPOD a lot, no need to have a lock to zoom incrementally... zooming incrementally is done prior to designating tgt to increase accuracy.

I've been doing a lot of testing TPOD/JSOW and am finding some interesting tricks. There are several systems that are not exactly modelled by the hoyle. Also trying for hours to get something to work when it's not implemented can keep you busy too:helpsmilie: But as hein22 mentioned, we need to be reminded this is open beta...user beware. I love the night flying 2.5.6 it's great but I also miss MP.

Do any of you see the diamond on the HUD when you slew FLIR and designate, slew again and designate and the diamond on the HUD moves to the new position of where your FLIR is pointing. Is this not what you're referring to?

Pressing designate puts a diamond on the HUD, press again and the diamond moves where the TPOD is pointing.

Moving the FLIR/TDC [sOI] then press designate puts a diamond on the HUD and each subsequent move of the FLIR/TDC and again presssing designate moves the HUD diamond to the new position of the FLIR. I see no way of making HUD SOI and moving the diamond or FLIR position or anything.

I've done some testing and have found with the current version you actually don't need to undesignate before releasing...that is if you're only dropping 1 JSOW on 1 target [haven't tested 1 target x 2 JSOW, should still apply]. This will allow you to continue to view the tgt till impact unless you over fly.

Are you saying the TDC Depress works in A/A in single and MP but the TDC Depress does not work in A/G in single and MP? Have you tried un-designating to clear entry? As well try caging the FLIR to re-set.

Works like a charm...I found this in a post by TOViper: 1.) first switch back to desktop mode (using ALT+ENTER) 2.) go to options and disable "Cursor confined to ...", but leave open the menu! 3.) Switch to full screen by pressing ALT+ENTER 4.) then enable the option again 5.) leave the menu

Which DDI are you using for FLIR and is it SOI [diamond top right corner]?

I agree with Swiftwin9s post #6. I feel attention to detail of all [available] aspects is why we choose to fly these sims and not FC3 type planes. I personally would prefer to see less weapon variety if this would mean 100% fidelity of the ones available.

What is your exact weapon and TPOD setup procedure prior to designation?

Notso, I've spent over an hour testing the benefit of tgt lasing using a 30+storey building, aiming for the second to top floor and the JSOW flew over the roof top and impacted the ground behind the building. It's not taking the hypotenuse but rather the angle right to where the ground co-ords would be expected. I repeated these tests over and over. My feeling is it's not modelled.

I have tried some JSOW w/wo laser I'm not sure I'm getting the accuracy difference you mentioned. On another note anyone ever see this happen. Overlap alert, OVGME alerted me to having 2 different mods using the same file. What to do, do I add the edited lines from one of the files to other? Thank you. [RESOLVED] I manually edited the files line by line.

It works on the ampcd fine, you need a tgt with at least a bit of contrast, as opposed to testing an area of empty water in the middle of the ocean. Thanks for your answer to my lase timing question. Also maybe I misunderstood what Chuck wrote just seemed weird having to transfer from TOO to PP as it works fine in TOO once acquired but as you mentioned it's a WIP.

I confirm it works. Make certain you are airborne, have potential tgts on FLIR.

When TPOD tgt lasing for the JSOW when do you start lasing and when do you finish for both a single release and a double station release? I pull the trigger before aiming and stop firing once last weapon is away.
