  1. I recently bound my Steam modules to Standalone and the Supercarrier one refuses to validate. I already did a repair, and also did the other method of deleting the manifest.bin file, then running the longer repair and searching for extra files, but it still says it failed to validate and the 2 day limit thing. When running DCS, it is also not even listed in the ribbon on the bottom, but if I check the installed modules in the manager button at the top of the DCS menu, it shows that Supercarrier is installed. Any ideas?
  2. OK, but if you decided to go back to standalone from Steam after that, you still can? It's not like one you decide to go back to Steam, you can't ever go Standalone again? Thanks.
  3. Let’s say you bind a steam module to dcs standalone, then decide to go back to Steam so you unbind it, but then decide later to bind it to dcs standalone again, will it let you? Or can you only bind it once? “7) When you click the "Unbind" button, all your Steam transferred licenses will be revoked and the binding removed.” the whole “license is revoked” thing concerns me.

  6. I asked Jester to do things like change the navgrid heading bith absolute and relative, and also to change sectors and center the NavGrid. He responds OK...but doesn't do squat. Is this a bug? Also, if I set a map marker and have him set it to say a steerpoint, sometimes it says map marker is out of range and tells me how many map markers are on the map. What does that mean? When I do get it to work, after making multiple map markers, I tell him map marker 1, 2, etc...but where do the numbers come from? Is it sequential from when you made the marker or something else? The number that shows up when you make a marker on the F10 map doesn't seem to be it. Thanks. v6, boNes
  7. Even with the latest updates, I still have this problem at random. Any ideas? v6, boNes
  8. I am referring to the chart that is in Chuck's guide, edition June 16, 2020, page 276. Pulse search is detection range of 60 and pulse single target track is 50. NOw seeing Draconus' comment, then I was interpreting it wrong. But aside from IFF being able to reach out probably the whole 200nm, what else good are the buttons above 50 nm if detection is only good to 60? Or are they only of use for large targets like bombers? v6, boNes
  9. So if the pulse search has a max range of 60 nm because it has to process the ground returns, and the DDD range buttons are for pulse search (ie they don't work for pulse doppler modes), why then are there range buttons for as far as 200 miles away for the DDD? It would seem to me that the buttons beyond 50 miles would not do anything then. Now if I was in RWS or TWS, those buttons would not do anything since I am in a pulse doppler mode and thus I use the range knob below the TID, so what is the point of the higher range DDD buttons? Thanks! v6, boNes
  10. Which, if you think about it, is some really great logics, programming, and physics! v6, boNes
  11. Yes it was before the last patch. I did have Phoenix selected in the fron seat--I actually could fire it. I just couldn't see the blinking icon that my RIO could see in the back. After launch, it would count down and blink when pitbull as should. v6, boNes
  12. When playing in MP and my RIO gets TWS-A targets in the launch zone, they blink in his TID as they should. But when I look at the TID repeater in the front seat, I do not see them blinking. Is this right? v6, boNes
  13. I heard it before 2.7 in the Zone V campaign. I thought it was just something inherent to that campaign because I don't think I heard it anywhere else. Kinda like how in Zone V I can't backspace out the joystick, but I can in any other mission/campaign. v6, boNes
  14. It's gone. We'll have to bomb by hand. v6, boNes
  15. Any know what's up with this? Thanks. v6, boNes
  16. Another nuance from the rear pit. I can see the bandit on my DDD While in RWS. I set my HCU to radar cursor and slew the cursor on the DDD to the blip and pull the trigger. Even though I am on the blip and it attempts to lock on, alot of times it doesn't. Why is that? I notice that the bar settings seem to be ignored when you do that, is that why? It looks like it goes to a 2 bar setting maybe 4 when you do that. If so, do I need to adjust my elevation to better get the lock? I thought the radar when slewed by the stick in this way just looks where you tell it to look on the DDD? Thanks! v6, boNes
  17. Thanks! v6, boNes
  18. How about this scenario? You launch Phoenixes on 4 targets in TWS-A mode. As they are guiding, and before they go pitbull, you accidentally forget that you switched the HCU to radar cursor and as you are trying to hook a TWS target, you inadvertanlty slew the radar antenna, screwing up the TWS tracks. Yes bonehead me did this. If you realize this fast enough, switch back to TWS-A, and tracks start to reappear in the TID, will the Phoenixes in flight reacquire since there are again valid tracks, or are they lost? v6, boNes
  19. Hmmm mine is sorta random. Sometimes second mission but more than oft randomized. v6, boNes
  20. Thanks so much! That helps, I was looking at the yellow paint smear looking thing. it’s ironic getting tips on seeing this indent from someone called NearBLind! v6, boNes
  21. To further, if you are in the backseat how do you know what radio mode your -182 is in? The mode knob doesn't have a markinh on it so I can't tell what mode it's set to except when it's off because the thing turns off. I cacn't tell if it's in DF mode or not when I turn to it. v6, boNes
  22. I can't tell what files, Steam just says 5 files. What's the second mission bug? v6, boNes
  23. I have the Steam version. Occasionally when loading a mission, the loading freezes up at stage World Preload 1/60. If I force shutdown and restart DCS, it usually works fine. If I do an integrity check, it finds 5 files that need to be re-downloaded, and everything is fine for a day or two and then the problem and process repeats. Any ideas? v6, boNes
  24. Yes every close in dogfight I fly I have to jump in the RIO seat and flip the switch to take the radar off standby. I didn't know this and I lost 2 great tracking shots on the bandits from not having a radar (maual shooting was OK though). The version "600" uses the A-4 mod so I can't use it, nor can some others if they don't ahve the A-4 mod.....many don't that are running on MP servers since if you don't have the same mods as the others or the server itself, you apparently can't fly together. IS there a non A-4 version, or can I just go into the ME and take out the A-4s? v6, boNes
  25. There used to be a Top Gun version. I have it but I don't think it works in 2.7 (it doesn't show up in the mission list). Is there a new version? Or why isn't it seen in the mission list? Also, in the Dogfight one, the Tomcats in close blue start with radar off. Anyway to have them start with radar on? Thanks. v6, boNes
