  1. Anyway it´s great this niche market is blooming with options, it´s all good for customers.
  2. you bought the thing from Amazon UK? I thought HF8 only was sold on the USA
  3. Both systems for pros and cons. Just sitting over transducers might be less confortable than smaller spinning motors
  4. from what I read, you can use SSA for the NLR choosing Forcefeel compabilty on SSA software but I could be mistaken
  5. if you dont use the software, the buttkicker will rumble based on audio input only, which is about 25% of what you would enjoy if based on telemetry instead.
  6. Im guessing if you are based on the USA or outside Europe, HF8 seat should be easier to buy with the ongoin Rus-Ukr situation. From what I read, both can work with SSA software, so no issues there. No idea about the delay, HF8 is a recent device meanwhile Jetseat has been out for several years already. You could also check your seat measurements in order to check which one of the could fit it better. My advice would be don´t waste much time choosing, both seem great products. I own a Jetseat and don´t fly without it. So whatever you choose, go ahead and keep enjoying the sim
  7. If by "simshaker" you mean a jetseat with 8 vibrators, yes, that´s better than a single unit buttkicker. The ability to notice side effects like huey door gunners, cannon position, from what wing drops a bomb and such is a great tool to have on DCS. Also bear in mind both systems can be add up, taking full advantage of their strengths. Buttkicker is great for effects like touchdown, burner, engine...
  8. I strongly think that device uses its own software
  9. I think by default you have several alias available such as "traffic" or "tower"
  10. no you don´t, what you have is enough
  11. yes you need the software and a second audio device to power the buttkicker
  12. if budget is not an issue, you can have both installed and working together. in case of just one option, definitely go for Ushake6 or Andre Jetseat like you said, being a single transducer, the buttkicker provides less info to your body.
  13. I am still wondering what you favourite module is lol top stuff sir!!
  14. it´s great reading you are having a fantastic time!! One suggestion, depending on the usage of your chair, I would consider adding a USB powered HUB hidden at the bottom of the chair, so you plug many things there and just one single usb wire to the computer case. For throttle, you may add an aluminium sheet to the top of the speake mount, and bolt the throttle with the 4 external holes the base has. However this could be unconvenient if you happen to have several throttle units like myself. And finally, keep having fun
  15. The weakest link of your current Warthog combo, is the stick base. You could buy one of the several compatible bases around, like virpil, and keep the warthog stick and throttle. much easier on your wallet.
  16. VKB could be tricky for warbirds, because of the lack of physical brake; I don´t fly warbirds so can´t make a statement here. Other than that, they are pure gold. For helis they are the closer thing to the real deal. For jets, I use them mostly with no issues, because I don´t mind assign the axis brake at any other input from my HOTAS and panels. Small footprint. Moving your ankles instead of your hip. Manufacturing quality is top notch. Sensors are better than overpriced TPR and on par with the others from your list. Many many users drop VKb from their shopping list right after reading they got no physical brakes. In all honesty, it´s theirs to lost.
  17. unless Im mistaken, you need to buy SimShaker Wings for IL-2 or BMS and other software
  18. Pointctrl today's estimated date of delivery is one year since the ordering day. Some have created similar devices on their own. VR controllers are good to interact, but like you said, the issue is leeching them and grasping the hotas.
  19. Market and free? The payware solution has been around for years providing plenty of joy for many users. We are lucky enough to have simshaker for aviators working for free on dcs (check il2 or bms). If you are into tactile feedback, and $25 is a hill too steep... Think globally, it's just a small amount in the whole budget
  20. For me, when ASW is off, anytime I move my head, the cockpit becomes blurried. If I keep my head static, image is fine. I set aws forces to 40hz, then the cockpit image is crystal clear no matter what, but external fast objects, like enemy planes on dogfight, and planes launching from carriers, got blurried
  21. Most simple solution would be having dcs audio via regular speakers. Secondly, if you are willing to keep dcs audio via headphones, you can connect your mic, and mess with windows recording and playback options to force that mic input to be put through the headphones the other guy is using. Another option would be using a software called Voicemeeter banana which is used to mix audio channels, but never used it sorry
  22. I don´t particular remember if the trial version of Sound Module allows for that. Anyway try choosing Sound instead of USB, and if you have a Jetseat or similar device, don´t forget to check "Simultaneous output". Then move to the other tab [Effect Settings], and you will see two columns, one for Jetseat effects strength, and other for Soundmodule strenght. Check Andre website for the specifics of the trial version.
  23. Well just reading these reviews prompted for a weekend challenge, I have never used the lantirn with jester. Thanks everyone
