Did you fix this? You could also rename the different mfds via dcs controls -
Aerodrome Data and Frequencies - Updated 02 July 2025
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to Minsky's topic in General Tutorials
Thanks a lot for these documents, impressive work indeed -
Thanks, last Saturday we took a lesson on F-15E startup and patterns, and there was no quorum regarding what checklist to follow. We ended up following the official Manual.

what checklist do you follow?

Raqqa Strike Mission | F-15E | Syria
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to sirrah's topic in Missions and Campaigns
Launched and flew formation till steerpoint 2. My system is old and couldn´t cope with the mission. Maybe I will modify some graphic settings and test again. -
Tell us more or open a new thread in the Bugs section

I don´t think we could compare FC3 flight models with hi-fi like Viper, Tomcat or Strike Eagle, anyway my comment applies for real life.
-
I guess the CFTs and avionics equipment take their toll on performance due to extra weight and drag. Anyway I don´t even see the F-15C as a dogfighter, but a BVR beast.

with decent weather, the pod and markpoints, you can drop a lot of bombs on a single pass with bad weather or night, perform a precision strike like you said, with both jdams and gbus, you have a lot more flexibility

I don´t want to choose, monogamy is not a thing for me on DCS.

I put the show / off pilot body in my hotas so it´s very easy to check the controls if I need it. The insistance, from my side, comes from the VR feeling very very empty when no body is there. If I can recall well, Warthog and Viper have no body, and they feel awkward after flying Harrier, Tomcat, Hornet or Strike Eagle.

[Official] SimShaker for Aviators
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to f4l0's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I remember installing xbox controller rumblers using arduino boards for my simracing pedals. Maybe jetseat/nf8 use similar devices, with no amp nor soundcard. Just usb power. We then setup the thing with free simhub app. https://youtu.be/8aLqqcEaUVk -
[Official] SimShaker for Aviators
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to f4l0's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Ohhh crap I am so sorry I misunderstood you. No idea how to setup 8 different, independt, shakers from a audio device. And no idea what the impedance for them you would need, or if an amp is mandatory or not. Sorry. -
It is always nice having a developer answering to particular feedback, thank you

[Official] SimShaker for Aviators
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to f4l0's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yes indeed. You need a second audio source, such as cheap external USB souncard. Amp to feed the transducers Transducers (1 use 2x for simple setup) Buy Andre Sound module to send telemetry data to transducers. Once set for simultaneous output, Simshakers for Aviators will show both columns for Jetseat/HF8/Realteaus seat pad, plus Sound strength. You will be able to set up every effect independently. For instance, I have my 2x shakers in the rudder pedal plate + JetSeat. So touchdown effect, it´s like 80% on the JetSeat, and 50% on the shakers. G Force is JetSeat only, so 0% on the shakers. Ground roll is 20% on jetseat, 50% shakers. And so on. -
From VR back to Head Tracking - my thoughts (Poll)
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to Swiss-Sim's topic in Chit-Chat
for me it´s much more. It´s not about size but the 1:1 headtracking. even with the biggest monitor or projectors, that´s lacking. Reaching a runway thresshold and checking for traffic, 90º each side. Checking my six during maneuvers or just for looking at my pilot/copilot. Moving my head a lot during Case 1 landings. Formation flights. Refueling. It´s not a budget thing either, like I mentioned before, I think my domestic VR for DCS or FS2020 is better than things like these https://www.aeroexpo.online/prod/rsi-visual-systems-inc/product-183945-33170.html- 45 replies

This. Learn the basics of heli flight envelope, and then if you are willing to, learn complex systems like hind, apache or hokum, which are far away from the way a huey flies. They are more like small aircraft.
