  1. Is it picking up the saved games folder yet?
  2. Hey Lobo, Thanks for posting that up. I think it's missing the all important modelviewer.exe file (someone else might be able to confirm this) I can't believe that they would remove an application (MV1) BEFORE the next one (MV2) is fully capable :dunno: I'm sure they're working on it & we will one day have the ability to view our saved games liveries again. In the meantime, when I need to work on a skin, I copy it from the saved games folder to the DCS World location & use MV2. I then move it back to the saved games folder afterwards when I am happy with the result. It's a bit more fiddly but it works for now.
  3. And now MV1 has gone completely. Thanks DCS.
  4. I've been using the original Model Viewer (MV1) But want to start playing around with Model Viewer 2 (MV2) Using MV1, I can view my own skins in saved games OK by editing the autoexec file as described. (by inserting the mount_vfs_liveries_path) However, MV2 doesn't seem to recognise this change. Is there another file I must modify to allow MV2 to recognise my saved games folder & skins? I've read all I can find & it's confusing to understand if people are referring to MV1 or MV2.
  5. Not just the landing light but beacon & nav lights as well.
  6. Yep, I like it. Not sure if i’m Capable of doing flashing lights. I’ve got a few ideas on the run, just need the time right now
  7. Is it day or night
  8. Thanks skatezilla Thought that might be the case
  9. I've got ModelViewer2 working as per the instructions above (thanks for the intel guys) However, I can't seem to figure out how to get the liveries in the saved games folder to show up in modelviewer2 (only getting the default liveries) The saved game (downloaded) liveries are still showing up in the original model viewer (using the modified autoexec.lua) Is there another autoexec.lua for modelviewer2 that requires modifying like the original? thanks
  10. Thanks Bamse, I went ahead and mounted it on Marine ply. Then I saw what Ranma did.....Wow. What a great effort Ranma, you should manufacture a few of those, I'm sure there'll be people who'll snap then up. Good job. Makes mine look cheap, knocked it up out of marine ply. The front board is hinged so it can be set at different angels or laid down to slide under the small shelf behind. The area in the middle of the MFCD's fits an iPad or A4 paper with keyboard shortcuts etc.
  11. Hey Bamse, Got the controller the other day, gotta say it’s very well made and the Master Caution function works well. I’d like to mount it (on marine ply) is there any problem with us removing the four corner screws and substituting them with longer ones to achieve this (re: warranty etc.) Cheers
  12. Good stuff Bamse, looking forward to using it. Remember, you can’t rush quality.
  13. As soon as I can get my hands on it :) https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3301331/
  14. Thanks SV, (I don’t know how I missed your earlier post, I must have been real tired when I posted) That sounds like a fast delivery time. I hope they’ve got some more in stock, it looks like a real piece of art and can’t wait to try it out.
  15. I may have missed it, so I apologise if I did, but can the buttons be programmed for other modules? Such as using it to control the UFC on the Harrier.
  16. I’ll take the first two tomorrow.
  17. Not just the PG map. The tsunami look happens on all the maps. (Mostly when changing view to another aircraft)
  18. Working on these fictional Australian RAN & RAAF skins. Should have them ready for upload soon.
  19. +1 can confirm Went to drop the tank before a bomb run...... no more bombs.
  20. +1 & allow them to be mapped to the keyboard
  21. Hi Guys, Thanks for all the contributions to this thread it has been a great help. I'm currently working on several skins for the aircraft. I have hit a road block with location of some items on the PSD's. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Firstly, does anyone know where the pole that hold the vane in front of the cockpit is located? Secondly, the location of the shroud around the lower beacon? I've attached some pics to show what I mean. I've also included a shot of the RAN 805 Sqn skin that I'm currently working on. it's based on the A-4's that the RAN had back in the 70's. Many thanks.
  22. Agreed, when I ask the wingman to cover me, what I want him to do is make sure no one gets in behind me. Instead he goes off and shoots down any and all threats leaving nothing for me.
  23. Does asking the wingman to “cover me” get the same repetitive result? I’ve found instead of watching my tail they just go and shoot everything down with this command. Same result maybe without the annoying repeats.
  24. I’ve put these up for download on the DCS site. Let me know what you think & any improvements. :) Edit: Now ready for download AUSCAM https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3300836/ Desert https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3300837/ Snow https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3300838/ Woodland https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3300839/ Also, is the a section somewhere on the rules of what is acceptable to post re: nose art?
