  1. Its located here so seems correct SSA is not creating a log file at all.
  2. It just does the same, so the issue is with SSM ?? I tried Simshaker Wings in IL2 and that works fine but i guess that doesn't use SSM
  3. Hi Andre, thanks for replying It doesn't matter which way starting them, same error box Start SSM and then SSA same error Start SSA and then SSM same error Cheers
  4. Hi guys I have a new PC and have installed the Sound Module and Simshaker, every time I start Simshaker I get an error pop up, I cant start the program at all, I have uninstalled and re installed to try to fix it, what do i need to do to fix this error Any help or ides gratefully received. null
  5. Now im home from a long weekend away I have updated DCS, done a clean and repair also, added the OpenXR command line to a DCS.exe shortcut as advised and fired up DCS on my G2, happy to report no issues at all and VR is working well in my go to test mission, then added back in my OpenXR Toolkit app settings as I had set them back the defaults and gained another 15 FPS OpenXR Toolkit settings (done inside the game with CTRL F2 Enable FSR and set it 80% Set Sharping at 60% Set Framelock to 60 Restarted the game and now runs just as good as it was with Opencomposite prior to the patch debacle and then hotfix I have had to create an instruction step by step on our Discord to help the none tech savvy out who were using Opencomposite which seems to have helped most get it running.
  6. Most if not all of the guys in our Discord with VR who I fly with most nights have resorted back to what they had prior to ED trying to implement OpenXR with this patch and the hotfix. All have reverted back to using the Opencomposite or SteamVR method and running with MR running if they need it. To me it seems ED haven't achieved anything yet with this OpenXR rollout except to cause confusion amongst its user base and some angst with users who were not tech savvy which wasn't helpful at all, it took a few of us quite some time trying to help others out and getting information from here to our Discord on what was working and what wasn't and getting them sorted out with a broken DCS install. I do hope ED can learn from this and any future updates to OpenXR in a future patch make it easier for the lest tech savvy to use and understand, include instructions on what to do and what it means to them and also properly test it first before rolling out a massive change like this as it obviously it wasn't tested by many beta testers with VR as the MR issue would have been picked up very quickly. OpenXR is a great change and very welcome, but we need a solid release with release notes and documentation of the changes from ED going forward.
  7. Granted this is a beta and we are all testers, at least we got a roll back/semi fix quickly. My hope is ED can get to a point with OpenXR that another sim uses, where I launch in 2D and then can press an assigned key and OpenXR kicks in and I can be in 3D, there are so many benefits to this especially when mission editing, and I believe this has been implemented into the of OpenXR API to be able to do this.
  8. Who would have thought the biggest item in this patch had no mention and was forgot about (OpenXR) and didn't work very well, hopefully a patch will fix the use of MR very soon as its now unplayable in VR with it off.
  9. Has anyone ever sourced any longer wingwing extension cables, I want to make my own 200mm curved extension but cant seems to find the 6pin din plugs that they use, would prefer a made up solution but would happily build my own with parts. Cheers
  10. Literally 1 shot of the Apache with the FCR and you find it disappointing, may EA isn't for you, it will come when its ready and Beyond 2023 was a show case for many other items not even in the DCS world.
  11. It was a great video and saw a few items i,m excited about, Kiowa, F15, C130 and the Sinai map which I thought we may have seen more off Was was noticeable is the lack of Redfor planes in that video, only 1 Mig29 was shown, DCS is defiantly becoming a very Nato/Western based aircraft sim/game on all fronts of development, and it doesn't seem like anything modern with a full fidelity cockpit and FM is being developed for DCS from the opposition side to fight against. I was also very happy to see the DLSS and MC comment at the very beginning this really has me excited that we will get some better performance in VR some time in the future. Im also a helo guy mostly and was excited to see the Chinook but it will be a module ill pass on until its at a 50% sale price as most of the missions I fly I can use the Mi8. Just watched the video again on a 75" TV screen in 4K, WOW it looked so real the opening shots of all the aircraft
  12. Its hard to understand a module of this depth and also that its an ALL new model that the BS 3 cockpit isn't fully clickable, some very strange design decisions along with the incomplete English cockpit not having a English HUD. Still its workable with control binds.
  13. This bug is still in the latest version 3 patches later since it was reported, as a new user to DCS a bug like this would certainly put me off the game. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  14. Nice to see this fixed in the latest update, thanks ED
  15. My mate has this on his DCS also, English cockpit enabled and Russian MFD, he has found no fix yet.
  16. That has been turned on, it gives an English cockpit but Russian hud, thats why I reported it as a bug, but now see its put in as a Wishlist item, I would have thought this was a no brainer to release it with an English hud when English cockpit was enabled ??
  17. WOW so todays update gave a us a nice server picture for the dedicated server FE to display while its running on a machine Im not even looking at but they couldn't be bothered sorting out what this thread has been asking for for so long, we haven't even has any acknowledgment that this is even been looked at....sigh.
  18. When you switch to an English cockpit the hud txt for the AA Igla mode is still in Russian txt
  19. Thanks Flappie it really is a an annoying bug
  20. Hi guys new here but long time SimShaker users, I'm trying to adjust settings for DCS modules but I'm finding that the 100-0 Strength SoundModule setting is making no difference until I get below 10 on each setting then the strength drops off. Anyone know why this is?? Also does the Sound Module test volume affect anything other than the test wave, this also has no affect on the test wave volume until its below 8% ??. Im using a new Buttkicker Gamer Plus after upgrading from a Gamer V2. Here's an image of my Apache settings so far with the new Buttkicker Gamer plus Gamer Plus amp settings Volume 30 High Frequency Cutoff 75 (no clipping) Low filter pass On (blue light) As I said anything above 10 and its just thee same affect and really is shaking the rig and vibrating, gun affects and main rotor whirl and flares seem to be using the same sound wave of frequency. null
  21. I put a small desktop USB fan under my seat pointing at it and its fixed the issue for me, but let me know how you go
  22. Does anyone have the new Buttkicker Gamer Plus at all, I just got one and finding the Kicker shuts down with Thermal overload due to it getting hot using helicopters (Apache so far) Digital displays show Volume is set at 30 Cut off filter is at 75 No clipping showing when in use. Im getting about 10 mins use out of it before the thermal shut down, the old gamer V2 was ok.
  23. I did not I took over from George, I thought HS Apaches the guns were borsighted, I know my pilot position one is when I get in a HS
  24. I was in game in the Yak52, Mig15, F16, and so on each time it defaults to the AH64 position I have my control profiles backed up, but think of this from a new persons perspective who probably would be wondering why nothing mapped right.
