AT ED development rate you do realize that will be years away from implementation, not saying it wont happen but id be thinking 2-3 years at best. -
DCS World Dedicated Server

This a really valid request with 3 more maps coming I really cant free up enough space for these 3 at around 40-60gigs each, id like to be able to get rid of right now for instance NTTR, Marianas, PG as we just don't host mission on them any more, any optional GUI for downloading or uninstalling these would help. -
With all these maps coming out I hope that they consider the server side of things, I admin a couple of servers and its getting to the point now I want to be able to pick the maps the server downloads just like the client can to save disk space, we just dont have the server diskspace to holed 6x 40-60gig maps that won't get used, and i know for sure we don't host any missions on SA, PG, NTTR and Marianas so would like the option to be able to opt out of that download put into the server client update.

Ok Cheers so it can live out side of DCS in my DCS Apps folder, that's good but how does it know where to grab the modules from when you type a name like he did in the intro video ?? as I did what he did in that video and it didn't work. -

This does not work in VR which is what the first post was about so doesn't fix the issue there, it only works for those in 2D -
Well no more issues with force trim anymore, just moved to the new Winwing Orion Stick Base J2-2 with a F16EX stick and 170mm extension and using the damping kit which you buy as an extra. This is a game changer for me in all the helicopters in DCS and especially the Apache, the Apache has just become so much easier to fly, I can even get it into a stable hover without using the hold modes. I'm impressed by the Wingwing construction, its as good as the Virpil gear I have and so much better than the TM Warthog I had for 8 years This video gives a good review and whilst its a paid sponsors video I found it informative enough to make the decision to buy and could see everything i wanted to see, after getting it this video does not really show how good it really is.

I have a Virpil CM2 with a 200mm extension, and I'm finding the Mossie and other WW2 planes very bouncy in the X plane and also tippy on the Y plane due to the 200mm extension andd stick throw, the setup is great for the Apache though. How have players setup with similar gear as the resistance in the Virpil stick is quite free, I have the heavy set springs in already and set to stiff but flying it and trimming with a 200mm extension is really tiresome trying to keep level flight and also hitting targets, I understand that its 1:1 but it is really hard work.

AI George has moved his head position back and left now when viewing him from inside the cockpit, his helmet as can clearly bee seen sticks through the rear of the seat and he is positioned to the LH side more, looking from an out side view you can see his head is more forward and centered in the seat as it should be but inside the cockpit its incorrect. I have confirmed this is the same view as other Apache uses are seeing when fling online< I have not checked with a human CPG

Yep its very hard to read in VR in the Apache (G2) both colors could do with being brighter. -

This is very much needed, toggles would be great id get half my buttons back on my HOTAS to use for other stuff. -
No mention of VR gun site fixes, its a pain to have to go to 2D and get out of VR just to do the CA stuff in our squads missions, the other sim has done it ok.

Hi guys im thinking of adding a Virpil Collective to my Sim-rig as I fly a lot of helicopters in DCS, I currently have a Virpil CM3 mounted to a dedicated racing rig which has been modded to use my flight gear also and I'm struggling to see how I can mount a Virpil collective and use it whilst the CM3 is mounted, if you have a rig like this can you show me your pics so I can get an idea on how you are achieving this. I have included a pic of the LH side.

All our group are just getting Vigens now so we dont spend 6-8hrs with Harpoons trying to sink one carrier group in our missions that require it.

Last night we did some hornet sticks against a small carrier group 3 ships 1 AC 1x DD 1x CC, it took over 96 harpoons to even get 1 ship sunk and some minor damage on the DD, then the Vigens came in and sunk the other 2 ships with 8 of their anti ship missiles. All harpoons were on target at the ships, the ships defenses took nearly every Harpoon out even when we all fired at the same time, same mode, same distance and from multiple engagement angles.

It doesn't help that any new module that DCS releases spams the axis controls across multiple inputs and also some main buttons like Button 1 & 2, ED would be better of leaving it a blank canvas in this regard. I have really been at a loss to figure out why common keys (listed in the General Tab) cant be used across nearly all the planes and helicopters, in one common binding category. Keys like pitch, roll, rudder, thrust, x-axis trim, y axis- trim, yaw-trim are all common across every plane, helicopters have similar common controls keys like gear, flaps up/dpwn, speed brake in/out, master arm, AG/AA are very common too. Other keys like F1 to F10, Communications, Wingman commands, rearm/refuel, cockpit and outside view keys are all common too. All the above should be under the Genral tab as 95% of users will map them to the same commands if they use them on a Hotas. Then leave complex stuff like duel throttles and other stuff to the user to map as each individual sees fit, this would help a lot with issues like the OP has mentioned.

Just a note the TV/Flir mod affects the CPG if you have a human in the position, my mate was a little pissed with me as messed with is keys

For most groups I fly with its already dead in the water, we try it again after each update just in case it now works and run into the same issues time and time again after each update, some can use it some cant and it becomes tiresome trying to go through and work out with each user who has issues with this DCS feature, and the amount of time that it will take ED to complete, well that will also keep people away, I really think they should remove this feature for for now and roll it out when its 100% ready and let the internal beta testers test it to feature complete. SRS has now been fully integrated into our squad coms and auto connects on joining the servers, it just works without issues, its so simple.
