  1. Bugger the bloom bug for VR switching between cockpit view and F10 wasn't fixed :(
  2. Outstanding and many thanks
  3. Strange that this patch isn't releasing the Normandy 2 map as noted by Bignewy on Discord, hopefully the Sinai map will come then, we have had loads of previews of both maps now surly 1 or the other should be dropping soon with so much media being put out about them by Youtubers. I'm hoping the patch will fix the invisible plane bug that only shows the weapons, the cockpit bloom bug when switching between the cockpit and F10 and many more MT updates/fixes So glad I didnt pre-order the F15E either as that seems a while away, the whole Razbam F15 pre-order debacle as I would call it, has put me off pre ordering anything now unless a confirmed release date is given with it.
  4. Even though the maps old tech it really would benefit from the new lighting, I mean its still the main map you get with DCS so its not dead, why not show it off at its best it can be.
  5. I'm tying this for the first time and I can get the ctrl+shft+u to set the start capture mode, but the ctrl+t to capture the waypoint does nothing not even a beep, what am i doing wrong. Cheers
  6. It doesn't matter if a rgr beep isn't in real life, the DCS comms needs some thing to distinguish the comms has finished, nearly every squad/group uses both Discord and SRS and there is noticeable difference between the 2 when using them so you can tell what the voice chat is from and work out what's what, if you used Discord and DCS comms there is no difference and you cant tell if its general chat in Discord or a call over the modules radio, and that is why NO one uses it.
  7. No one using it that I know off the lack of development or needed features has meant its not being used, with SRS and DIscord still being used heavily, and I agree a RGR beep should have been implemented right from the start to aid in its take up by squads.
  8. You don't mention what DCS is running off, NVME or SSD, my mate had really bad lag spike issue when MT dropped, was literally about to give up, moved his install to a different drive and it all went away.
  9. I find it amazing we can have a created discussion topic about a news letter and ask valid questions regarding the news letter to community managers but these can go unanswered.
  10. @NineLine I just noticed you are offering a discount after a user has done a 14 day trail of an module, is there any info on how the discount is applied, I checked the FAQ and couldn't see any such info. Cheers
  11. Thanks for such a great news letter this week. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  12. I will buy a day or two before the release date, if that is next week or in 6 months time I don't care or need to too as I have placed no money down so far for a module that has been 10 years coming, I will still get to enjoy it as much as any one who pre ordered but don't have the anxiety of the wait for release.
  13. I understand that ED are letting us know about a new plane and it seems letting other developers know that a new plane is coming and that it has now been taken/assigned to a developer. (its a rather strange way to let other devs know from a PM point of view) But also the news about the beginning or end of a sale, I believe its hardly worth pointing this out to people who know the sale is going on and will have already made their purchases, just seems like filler to me. ED this is the really the big opportunity each week to tell us major news that's going on in the world of DCS even it its ages away from release, I know you may say look at the forum but not every one will do that. What would be nice from these news letters is some info on a regular basis about the EA modules that are still in development, that have had little to no news about them last year, for example. The Mosquito, which had very little news last year but surely still had a ton of development done in the back ground that would be worth sharing And I must say it The forgotten Yak52, no news at all from what I can recall in 2022, this module has been in EA nearly as long as the Hornet nearly 4.5 years to be exact, the Hornet released the 1st June 2018, the Yak52 Aug 3rd 2018. The Yak52 is a way less complex plane than any of your other modules, but you have fallen way behind in finishing it off and it seems it truly is a forgotten module for ED, for a module with much more simplified systems as this bird, it could/should have be completed by now and out of EA years ago with all the talented coders that you have on board at ED now. (look what you did with the BS3) Sure they will come in here and say we have no news to share and will share it when we have some but that's the std reply for everything for this type of question. I really believe the news letter content creators should have a good look at refreshing what they put out to the community, as its starting to look a little stale, but that's only my opinion. Cheers
  14. $8 bucks bugger that will hurt at least I still have my money in my pocket and will buy after the surprised drop when ever that is in 2023.
  15. Thanks for the reply's, I wont buy with trailing planes in DCS, ill wait for it to be on the free trail at some point
  16. Open beta the OpenVR performance for stand alone has dropped by at least 20-30% for me today compared to yesterday, a real step backwards so far
  17. I would imagine using MT mission loading times are less than using ST, thats how I would read that line
  18. This is still broken, there is no way for \ to bring up the comms menu as it does in every other ED module, I kn the rad can be used for it but that is not how a every other ED module has it mapped.
  19. I see this module doesn't have a trail for 2 weeks, anyone know why ?? Cheers
  20. Yep its correct as is now, I post that it was incorrect and we were sitting on the LHS armrest in VR, its now so much better.
  21. @NineLineThis the best update DCS has had in years regarding preformance, VR is now fantastic when you get it tweaked right in the graphics and it still does need tweaking but thats fine with me, I was flying on our regular Foothold mission and gave gone from a steady -45-55 to 65-81 FPS, im now looking forward to the future with DCS again, congratulations to the whole ED team.
  22. Just tried some other maps with MT after posting my initial thoughts and tried some heavey AI populated instant action missions, I now firmly believe I'm seeing no improvement in FPS in this first stage of the MT release on my rig, I can get better FPS my self by tweaking OpenXR Toolkit settings Caucus CPU8.8/GPU 11.4 Syria CPU8.8/GPU 13.4 Marianas CPU9.0/GPU 16.4 Channel CPU 8.8/16.5 Marianas still runs the worst as its the least optimized and has always run really bad even on a high end rig, Channel map whilst the CPU/GPU timings were similar felt smoother.

Looking forward to the next round, but so glad I upgraded to the 4090 still
  24. You enable Hyper Threading (Intel) SMT (AMD) in your Bios. (Google it) MT is the multithreading that Ed has actioned
