  1. I dont use Helios, but the Su25T shkval is exported as RIGHT_MFCD by default.
  2. No problem
  3. I'm sorry I can't answer that as I don't use Viacom Pro. I have programmed it to use 4 modifier keys Win+shift+ctrl+Alt and another key for all the required binds to try and not conflict with anything else but I can't be sure Viacom doesn't use these. However, I have made it so there is one section that has all the keybinds, and all other actions then reference that section, so you can change the keybinds in the keybind section and it will all still work.
  4. Just popping by to say thanks for the "exported MFD freezes in external view - fixed" for F16 and A10
  5. And the other two seem to be fixed now, Thanks very much!
  6. Much better after today's update
  7. It has improved, the flames don't seem be as lazy now, but could still do with a bit of tweaking imho. They could definitely do with a bit of sharpening up, multiple very short flashes instead of the seemingly constant flame, and maybe randomise it a bit between cylinders. They are still a bit too bright though I think, they should be rarely visible during daylight hours, even dawn and dusk to an extent. Heading in the right direction, but not quite there yet for me.
  8. Simply turning off FULLSCREEN mode in the settings menu should fix this. I don't notice any performance difference when using fullscreen or not with multiple monitor setup.
  9. Please check out the lower half of this post edit: I've edited this post with a link to my main post about this topic. The file has been updated on the post below. Cheers If the link below doesn't take you directly to the correct one, it is the lower half of the second post on page 1 of the topic,
  10. My monitor config file may well be a bit overly complicated for most people, it's not 100% necessary to set it up like that. Basically the reason behind it is that the screens in the FC3 planes are always called LEFT_MFCD and RIGHT_MFCD, and they can not be changed. So in order to display the FC3 plane's screens in a different location from the other aircraft, I had to give all of the other aircraft screens unique names. This was so I could have the SU-25 TV Screen large on my second monitor, but my MFDs are usually on my third monitor which has Cougars, if that makes sense. So for you, with one big screen for your cockpit view, and 3 little screens for MFDs you could probably get away with LEFT_MFCD CENTER_MFCD (default name for F18 AMPCD) EHSI (same coordinates as center) RIGHT_MFCD (M2000 screen default) F14_VDI (same coordinates as LEFT_MFCD) F14_TID (same coordinates as CENTER_MFCD) F14_HSD (same coordinates as RIGHT_MFCD) and you wouldn't need to modify any of the aircraft lua files. But if you want to, feel free to modify my monitor config file from the "Display Exports.zip" on page 1, make sure to use the modified aircraft files in there too. I'm not sure if the files have had any updates since I posted them, so here's the latest ones I'm using. They don't change that often during updates. Display Exports.zip I think when you get all of your screens setup, especially if you have TM Cougars, you will need to do a bit of editing of the MFD coordinates. This little program will come in handy for that... http://breakthrusoftware.com/html/onlinedocs/kb/installkb/ScreenCoordTool.html
  11. Yes that seems ok, just bear in mind that the names you have given to some of the MFDs are not the default, and some aircraft lua files need to modified to use those names. For the F16 you could always have the EHSI in the centre screen For the F14 you can actually display a RIO screen without the need to switch your front seat screen. Just a couple of ideas.
  12. You must have seen that post before I deleted it, I noticed tacview was the same, and indeed mine is the same way
  13. Can you attach or copy the code from your exports.lua file? I put TheWay as the first line in my export.lua file, as something seemed to be blocking it at one point (maybe the SRS line) , so my export.lua looks like this now -- The Way local TheWayLfs=require('lfs'); dofile(TheWayLfs.writedir()..'Scripts/TheWay.lua') -- load the DCS ExportScript for DAC and Ikarus dofile(lfs.writedir()..[[Scripts\DCS-ExportScript\ExportScript.lua]]) --DCS Bios dofile(lfs.writedir()..[[Scripts\DCS-BIOS\BIOS.lua]]) --SRS pcall(function() local dcsSr=require('lfs');dofile(dcsSr.writedir()..[[Mods\Services\DCS-SRS\Scripts\DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone.lua]]); end, nil); Something else to try is to start DCS first, then start TheWay once DCS is up and running. I find having a folder open when starting DCS makes it easier to ALT-TAB out of DCS, then I use Win+D to get to my desktop to enable me to start TheWay.
  14. That's great, thanks for popping back and letting me know, and you are very welcome.
  15. Ah, I think that is what has gone wrong, the files in the kneeboard.zip mod are to be added to the game files, and do not replace the originals. I've amended the guide to make that less ambiguous. It's a workaround because altering the original files breaks the multiplayer integrity check. Only the kneeboard uses the modded files, but I'm sure the MFDs need the original files in place to function correctly. I didn't write the mod, I found it on Reddit. So you need to run a repair to restore the 3 original files, and then follow the guide for the kneeboard again without changing any file names etc.
  16. @btd New sound is amazing, top work there !
  17. Hmm that's strange, something has obviously gone wrong there, a tiny mistake like leaving out a comma (,) can break the files. My best suggestion is to do a DCS Repair https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/repair/ and start again, I have just edited the Kneeboard move guide due to some minor findings. If you take a screenshot of your display settings in widows, explain what resolution your monitors are etc, and include your config file. I can take a look for you.
  18. Right, let's get you sorted out properly. I'm not really understanding how the second screenshot above, the one in the cockpit, has happened I have just noticed that your game resolution should be 3840x1200, missed that one of your monitors was 1920x1200, or have you rotated the second monitor to portrait style, so tall and thin? Please either describe, or take a screen shot of your windows desktop display setup, should look something like this. Please explain which monitor is where (by resolution), and which is set to be the main display. Edited yesterday at 08:00 PM by jonsky7
  19. If it's the same one I have more or less, it should go into Saved Games \ DCS \ Liveries \ Cockpit_Su-25T \ English \ the texture files and description.lua You will then need to select the cockpit version from the specials tab, in game settings.
  20. Try this config file DrSpankle.lua You should save it to %%\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Monitorsetup You will need to adjust your displays in windows, your 24" monitor will need to be on the right of your main monitor, but as you have it physically under your main monitor it won't make much difference. This is to avoid the config file not working properly. Make sure the bottom edges of your monitors are aligned!!! You will also need to set the resolution in the DCS settings to 5760x2160, this will probably be at the very bottom of the resolutions list. iIf you see a resolution that is close but not bang on, it means the edges of your screens are not aligned in windows display settings. You will also need to choose the monitor config file in DCS settings, it's called drspankle, choose both the file and resolution before clicking OK.
  21. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it really. You can delete the kneeboard bit at the bottom, as that doesn't do anything any more. One thing is maybe that you haven't changed the "name =" inside the lua, this needs to be unique and also it needs a unique filename. Did you make sure to select your resolution in DCS settings to be 3840x1080? What aircraft are you trying to use it with, I only ask because if it's solely the Harrier or M2000, you need to turn on the display output via the keybinds, I think the defaults are , and . but all other aircraft should come on at power up. Is your main monitor in windows settings your left one?
  22. You can pretty much configure DCS to display anything you want it to. Here's a guide to take a look at, if you need any help sorting this out, replying to the guide thread will be best to get a reply from me.
  23. Changing the default opening position of the kneeboard This zip file contains some mod files, you can either use a mod manager like OVGME, or copy them manually into DCS World\Scripts\ --The main DCS install directory, eg C:\Program Files\DCS World\Scripts...... NOT "saved games" Kneeboard.zip The Mod adds 3 files, IT DOES NOT REPLACE THE ORIGINAL FILES. Whichever method you choose check the folders to make sure the files have copied correctly. DCS World\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit\ should contain the file ViewportHandling-resize.lua and ViewportHandling.lua should remain -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DCS World\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit\KNEEBOARD should contain the file declare_kneeboard_device2.lua and declare_kneeboard_device.lua should remain -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- and DCS World\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit\KNEEBOARD\indicator should now contain the file init2.lua and init.lua should remain -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the next steps you will need notepad++ https://notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/ Go back to DCS World\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit\ and open the file ViewportHandling-resize.lua This is where will configure where we want the kneeboard to open. Line 33 says dedicated_viewport = {0,0,default_width,default_height} This is already modified and will open the kneeboard on the top left You can however replace all the text with numbers, eg: dedicated_viewport = {1000,360,600,800} where dedicated_viewport = {position-X coordinate, position-Y coordinate, width in pixels, height in pixels} much like configuring your MFDs The original line reads dedicated_viewport = {default_x,default_y,default_width,default_height} -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We now need to change the aircraft files to look for the newly installed mod files above. The easiest way is to use notepad++ to do this automatically. Open notepad++ Click on the Search button Click on Find in files -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Enter the following, make sure to copy the entry listed in bold in full including quotation marks and brackets: Find what: "KNEEBOARD/declare_kneeboard_device.lua") Replace with: "KNEEBOARD/declare_kneeboard_device2.lua") Filters: *.lua Directory: G:\DCS World\Mods\aircraft (you will have to change this to your install directory) edit: some aircraft have a space in the line dofile(LockOn_Options.common_script_path.."KNEEBOARD/declare_kneeboard_device2.lua") and some do not, so this instruction is slightly different to the one included in the text file that is in the zip file. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Click on "Replace in files" and click OK -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notepad++ will replace the text in all of your installed aircraft files -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When complete, the number here should be pretty much how many aircraft you have installed. On the next DCS update, you should only have to do the steps to replace the text in the aircraft files. Hope that helps
  24. I haven't been on DCS much since the last update so I'll have to check it and get back to you.
  25. If you are inputting a trailing zero for the last pair of coordinates in the Viper, then like Blinky.Ben has mentioned, you are looking at the wrong coordinate type in the F10 Map. The default coord system for the F10 Map is Degrees' Minutes' Seconds (DD.MM.SS) N37'25'23 E45'12'17 The Viper users the Decimal Minute system, Degrees' Minutes' Thousands of Minutes (DD.MM.mmm) N37'25.321 E45'12.282 You can change the default F10 coord system in the settings if you mostly fly the 16, or as Blinky.Ben mentioned use LALT-Y in the F10 map to change coordinate type.
