RWR is not enabled by default when you start from the ramp. You have to turn it on using it's control panel under the MPCD. edit: Also the RWR HUD symbology is turned off by default. You can enable it from the RWR page.

That's the AI Apache that we have at the moment.

I though that it's something that uses western technologies and systems. Otherwise it would not have to be done by a team that is so busy at the moment. On the other hand, I don't know what different teams ED has so my though doesn't make much sense in the end.

This goes together with their plan to finish the F/A-18 and F-16 this year which means the that the Eagerly awaited aircraft is supposed to be something modern and western.

TOO mode is used to load targeting information into a weapon using one of your sensors (TGP, A/G radar, HUD) or using a waypoint. When you have your weapon set in TOO mode, you can designate a target using any sensor and it will automatically fill it's coordinates into that weapon. For example when you are looking at a target using your TGP, you can press TDC depress and coordinates of that target will get automatically loaded into your selected weapon. I hope I've explained it at least remotely well.

I may have found something. The game starts in borderless window every time despite having fullscreen enabled in the settings. Pressing LAlt+Enter while running the game results in a crash so I can't fully test it but that has more to do with my weak hardware than with the game itself.

Aircrafts like the F-22 were eagerly awaited by those who believed that their data will become available at some point.

Planes in Ace combat have nothing to do with their real life counterparts. They are simply 3D models with generic flight models and generic systems which does not require any data about the real planes.

The next question is of course if it was impossible for them as a Russian company or if it was impossible for anyone due to classified data. ED was known for letting third parties make Russian aircrafts so I would not call them "impossible to be in DCS". With the recent upgrades to the Eurofighter that prettymuch made into a whole new jet, it's quite possible that they have recieved informations about it's previous systems. Same thing could be said about the Gripen and it's upgrade to the NG variant.

I'm still hoping that it's the Eurofighter.

You should use CCRP with the target point placed wherever you are firing your laser. This means that the release mode should be set to AUTO.

What I like to do is to open the task manager with Ctrl-Shift-Escape and then alt-tab to it. That brings up the task bar.

As stated above. You have to go high and fast to get the best range. Going fast means that the missile gets more kinetic energy when launched. Rocket engines are more efficient at high altitudes which gives the missile more kinetic energy. Also lower drag means that the missile looses less kinetic energy per distance when traveling towards it's target.

DCS: F/A-18C Screenshots and Videos (NO DISCUSSION)

Of course I would want that but it's simply not possible at the moment because it's still a front line aircraft. Maintaining balance is not a reason to not have more modern aicrafts than what we currently have in the future.

How about 7 days instead. That would be a nice date.

The discount was not canceled so I assume that F/A-18 owners will get a discount.

It simply uses the map view from the mission editor and the F10 map. They are located in the RasterCharts folder in the terrain's install directory.
-
Technically yes. It has much more energy which translates to either more range or higher hit probability.

[NOBUG] AIM-9X does not give you tone with JHMCS.

Press the "save track" button on the debrief screen. You will then find it in the "Saved Games\DCS\Tracks" folder. -
You can find the current version numbers here. It looks like you are running the stable version and want to get an update that's for the open beta.
-
Might be an unpopular choice but I would like to see the Eurofighter Typhoon.

Harpoon's radar can only detect targets at about 16 km regardles of the launch altitude. This means that Harpoons launched with ingress altitude set to high can't find their targets and Harpoons launched with lower ingress altitude have limited range. I have attached a track and a Tacview replay showing this bug. f-18 harpoon radar bug.trk F-18 harpoon radar bug.zip

The Tor missile system (I assume that's what you are dealing with) is designed for shooting down cruise missiles, which means that it's also very good at it. The harpoon missile is heading towards an enemy ship and it's doppler radar at high speed which makes it very easy to detect. From what I have seen ingame, the missile gets locked and intercepted before it reaches it's skim altitude due to limited range of it's ground mapping radar. A solution to this is to use a higher ingress altitude so that the harpoon's ground mapping radar can see further, find the ship and start skimming before it enters it's radar range. This is not possible at the moment because the harpoon's ground mapping radar can't scan the ground while flying in any other than 'low' ingress altitude. ED you need to increase the Harpoon's radar scanning range to make it usable at medium and high ingress altitudes. The Harpoon as it is right now passes over enemy ships if it's flying at any other than low ingress altitude.
