  1. It does work as an only stick but personally I prefer the Gunfighter for anything that needs lots of trim (for me, helicopters and WWII). For jets, I prefer the FSSB.
  2. "Down long" isn't what you're after? That brings back the list for me, without a rescan.
  3. Nothing for "our" version of the Apache.
  4. "what are your thoughts so far?" Loving it. I really do. It was a first day buy for me and it's great. Now I just have to catch up to it but I'm getting there.
  5. I don't have an explanation (other than "it's the firmware") but for me, this problem occurs when the joystick boots up with the flip trigger up. With the flip trigger down, there is no problem (for me). When it started up with the trigger up, I just flip the trigger down and restart the joystick by pulling the USB cable from the black box. Then, the programmed buttons work again. For me, there is no need to reprogram or rewrite configurations or recalibrate, I just have to make sure that the trigger is down on startup. The last firmware I think didn't care about flip trigger up or down on startup was v2_06_8 XT (I think, not sure); I'm running v2_09_5 XT at the moment. (Little disclaimer: I have the MCG Pro, not Ultimate, but I don't think the flip trigger is all that different, so it might be worth a try.)
  6. Should anyone feel inclined, I would like to see 1. MERDC camos, especially Summer Verdant https://cybermodeler.com/armor/m151/m151_profile01.shtml and/or Tropical https://cybermodeler.com/armor/m151/m151_profile03.shtml 2. European One/Charcoal Lizard https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3309337/ They may be fictional but I would find them very cool.
  7. What I would like to see is that on the target list right short doesn't dismiss after marking the first target but that the list stays open so you can store/mark several targets for George and he prioritizes targets according to the sequence you marked them. Then dismiss by pressing left short. If you want to delete all stored targets not destroyed, left long. Something along those lines would be nice on that list.
  8. You mean like this? Try if it works in multiplayer. I don't have a solution for it, I just use Marianas always in multiplayer now. If that works for you then at least I'm not alone with this problem anymore hahaha
  9. Glad you like it I've always been a bit puzzled why only few people seem to use it and instead fly around with the shiny Huey but I thought maybe priorities are just different for other people. And maybe it's somewhat hard to find as my first post is already over 3 (THREE!!) years old... for something that takes around 5-10 seconds... Anyway, if you want to include my file in your skin files AFAIAC feel free to do so as I don't see a problem, I simply prefer any skins with this file in use anyway. You can reference me if you want to but I don't care too much about that so I don't mind either way. I also wouldn't mind too much if it gets used to finally fix the official file after many many years
  10. Probably not from a legal point of view, though.
  11. Then I guess you'll have to wait even longer than the rest of us - Your money, your choice.
  12. I guess in real life I'd ignore them pretty quickly but in pancake mode I would like to have the option to disable/remove them, honestly.
  13. Thanks for the suggestion but nah, honestly, my play time is somewhat limited so now that I know that I can use the Marianas in multiplayer I think I'll just do that instead of going on wild goose chases and re-installing this or that. This bug looks rather obscure to me but multiplayer for now is a perfectly viable workaround. It's a free map so that is fine by me. I doubt that I would pay money for a map with such behavior but then again I'm quite happy with the Syria map anyway.
  14. BTW, should this help in any way: if I choose in the multiplayer menu: resume manual: crash resume with clients: crash resume on load: no crash, perfectly flyable
  15. Don't worry, it's not your mission, I have that crash with *any* single player mission, also the quick action missions. Also, any module I own (though I mostly tried F-16, Huey, and Gazelle). I'm using your mission only as an example (as it has all modules ready) but your mission is not the problem. I can reproduce this crash with whatever, I just had this mission handy. And again, using those same missions as multiplayer doesn't lead to crashes - at least not until now. I just noticed this a short time ago as I never bothered to try multiplayer because I thought the map crashes on me period. Maybe you can imagine my surprise when I saw that multiplayer works. A true 'WTF'-moment.
  16. No difference, unfortunately, not even with 48 GB as a test. Either way, multiplayer yay, single player nope.
  17. Hello, hopefully, there is a solution to my problem: the Marianas map (and only this map) crashes for me but consistently in single player only. In multiplayer, I can use it to my heart's content. According to the DCS log, DCS seems to think in single player that my GPU gets removed/crashes but only in single player (also, the GPU doesn't crash). As an example, I attached two dcs.log files, in both I'm using the Through the Inferno Marianas mission but once as single player, a second time as a multiplayer mission on my PC. The former crashes, the latter doesn't even though it's the same mission. For this example, I had removed all mods, ran a repair, and renamed ../SavedGames/DCS so it was created new in hopes that nothing outside of DCS interferes. Then I ran the mission with the resulting attached logs. Thanks. multiplayer_dcs.log singleplayer_dcs.log
  18. Yes, this definitely is annoying! Hopefully, it'll get fixed sooner rather than later...
  19. According to the latest mini-update, it very much isn't going to happen: Which sounds like it might even be later if need be.
  20. Do you mean the Disney or the Sony ones? I'm sure they use different navigation systems.
  21. So you *do* think Star Wars is a documentary? Using real space ships? Asking for a friend...
  22. I wouldn't want to get sued by Disney. But otherwise... Doesn't seem to need all that much effort to fool you.
  23. LMAO I really think you should stop treating Star Wars as a documentary. As I said a while back: Yes, CGI has come a long way. When I think of the original Tron... Also, given that CGI has got this good that should tell us something, given this thread.
  24. No, please don't change it. I like it the way it is. If you don't, make a mod. That's what I did with the F-18 because I didn't like the tint there, either (the F18's tint used to be stronger in the beginning before it got reduced).
  25. If someone told me he had a problem with his car and I said, "Never mind, just push it, you'll get anywhere you want eventually" I would be technically correct - the best kind of correct as we all know. Wouldn't it be preferable, though, if this map performed the same way as all the other maps and not need a reduction in quality settings?
