  1. :D You must be new around here...
  2. Correct. It's going to change in the near future according to a recent update frorm Wags in the 'Hornet mini updates'.
  3. Just to narrow it down. Having a not-centered elevation before entering WACQ will input a vertical offset to the scanzone. In VACQ a noncentered radar will input a lateral offset.
  4. I remember the A-10C having this problem, even with textures set to high. Dont remember what the problem was though.
  5. If you want a 4B scan for 120, you need to choose 120's, select 4B (or your prefered) and save the setting by pressing 'SET'. You can costumise radar profile per weapon this way.
  6. This is one of the most amusing X vs. Y threads I have ever read. :D
  7. Changing weapons will radar is trying to lock will afaik trigger it.
  8. I had problems uncaging an AGM-65E after emergency jettison my stores without launching any, and then rearming. Rearmed the same loadout on the same stations, but the -65E couldnt uncage. RTB'd and loaded the empty weight preset to clear all stations, then loaded GBU-12 and agm-65E again, but on different stations than before. This time i couldn't even select the mav. pressing the mav OSB gave me gbu and so did the gbu OSB. This was in MP on 104th
  9. It seems with the current version, that vacq and gun radar is offcenter. sometimes to the left, sometimes to the right. Anybody else seen this?
  10. You can however use the HUD TDC to create a POI and the seeker will slave to that point once uncaged.
  11. The only thing the jammer will do in DCS is to deny russian fighters to use TWS if there is just a single jammer on the scope. Which means that ppl in russian hardware have to work a little harder to keep track of you without going STT. Other than that it just denies range info outside 25NM headon and 10NM tailon.
  12. After the F-16 ED just have to make the F-4, and then I wont be asking for more. Maybe they don't even have to make more A/C. I don't think I will ever fly anything else than the Viper anymore.
  13. Depressing the TDC to lock works for me using the new method. Otherwise the crosshairs just slews and stays on the ground where I left them. Quite useful though. I think I will revert to the old method, since I have the TDC mod installed.
  14. My P2 was @166Mhz stock, OC'ed to 233. This was in '98.
  15. That would lock the target, but not give me a picture of the situation.
  16. Fuel flow and speed I think.
  17. Noone is asking for funds, and you are not an investor, but a consumer. Buy it in EA if impatient and live with the bugs, or wait until release if you are unsure.
  18. I seriously doubt this system was ever very useful. certainly limited in range between A/C and GCI and information updates for anything at low alt.
  19. It doesn't seem to happen when there are no clouds present, until you get up above 40k. Then it happens a lot. Might be related to clouds?
  20. There actually is a post from a real pilot in this thread. You just didn't notice.
  21. A little derail i know, but try dogfighting an AI viggen. most surprising. He will fly circles around any A/C.
  22. There was a vid posted by wags a while ago, that showed some wip on the AIM-7, but no mention of when it would be implemented.
  23. Try to do a DCS repair.
  24. I dont think we're talking about the same thing.
  25. That was why I asked. To me it would make sense for the pilot (me) to relate elevation to the center of the volume that is being scanned, when i move the radar up and down. I mean: I spot something, and I see that it's 10° under me, and then I want to point the center of my radar 10° down to have a look at that area. Now I have to cross-reference the actual bars that is being scanned by looking at the top-left corner and looking back at the caret. This the pilot can see by looking top-left on the scope.
